Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
Newport Aquarium is a top-notch facility that houses thousands of marine animals from around the globe in over a million gallons of water. Visitors can marvel at the jellyfish room, walk through tunnels, and explore exhibits featuring penguins and rays. One of its main attractions is Sweet Pea and Scooter, the stars of the world's first shark ray breeding program. The aquarium has received numerous accolades for its excellence, including being named the No.
It was clean and lots of fish and cool enclosures. Lots of information and learning about the fish. As a single adult I probably won't go on a weekend again or maybe not as early and choose a later time. A lot of kids and just took away from my personal enjoyment of the aquarium. The area around the outside of the aquarium had a few things to do too!
Meridion ( — Google review
First visit to this aquarium! Our family really enjoyed it and the little ones loved it! Very nice, clean and easy to get through. Several places to eat around the aquarium (Including ice cream & and nice candy shop). Lots of outdoor seating. Very nice location and atmosphere!
Stephanie H — Google review
The aquarium and current exhibits were thoughtful and fun. All areas very clean and moving from one area to next was easy to follow. The tunnels were especially fun for all of us and there was a petting area. Guides at these areas are very knowledgeable and seem to enjoy their jobs. We spent about 2.5 hours going through entire aquarium. There were professional photos taken at several areas which you could look at and purchase at exit area. My one complaint is the total lack of signage! We are not from the area and really had a difficult time finding the aquarium. We drove beyond our Google map instructions and just parked in next garage. Just by chance it would lead us to open area on the levee. Once you're in this area it is really quite pretty. Surrounded by shops and small eateries, the aquarium is actually off to the side. Once we got there it went smoothly but there really needs to be maps in garage and better signage on the roads. 5 Guys restaurant is located outside aquarium and a great place to eat after we were done. I think we all enjoyed the penguins the most and enjoyed the viewing area. I wish there was a guide in this area who could give us some insight about the penguins.
Laura P — Google review
Had an absolute blast. We loved all the different aquariums and enclosures they had. We also took the behind the scenes your so that was a very unique experience in it's own right. Will definitely have to do the peguin experience next time! 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone to visit.
Andrew W — Google review
My daughter, granddaughter and myself had an awesome time. The is a great family outing for all. There's so much to see and learn. We crossed over the shark tank on a net bridge, saw the penguins, a sea turtles, many different species of fish, four different types of seahorses, eals, and divers cleaning out the shark tank. So exciting!
Denise P — Google review
I hadn't been here myself in nearly 20 years, and it was great to be able to take my kids and experience it with them. I did remember that it's super crowded on the weekends, so we picked a slow weekday, and it was the best. Got to see everything without being rushed, and take it all in. If you can go during the week instead of the weekend, highly recommend!
Marissa A — Google review
If you have younger children (under 12) this is a great aquarium to pass the time in. My partner and I love to visit aquariums whenever we are in a new city, so we have some pretty stellar aquariums to compare to (shout out to Boston's Newport Aquarium and the Monterey Bay Aquarium). This aquarium really can't compete but it is smaller but still creative with its displays. The bayou area with the white American alligator named Snowflake was really neat. The shark displays have really big sharks. But for me the highlight was their beautiful red octopus who was interacting with visitors up against the glass. So gorgeous! The penguins were great too. There was a petting area too for sea creatures. All of the workers were really great too.
Libby T — Google review
Such a beautiful aquarium! The animals all look happy and well taken care of. All the touch exhibits were very cool but the shark touch was our favorite! Very cool.

BB Riverboats, a renowned cruise line operating for over 25 years, offers a range of sightseeing and dining experiences on the scenic Ohio River. Departing from Newport Landing near Newport on the Levee, these cruises include lunch, dinner, kids', holiday-themed, and specialty options. Whether you're seeking a romantic evening, family outing, or corporate event, BB Riverboats caters to diverse preferences.
We did the Jazz Brunch, and had a good time! The music was fun and not too loud. The food was good, but honestly it was a lot like hotel breakfast..the pastries were really good. The other food was good but not great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful- they seemed to enjoy their work. Parking was easy and not too far away. You can enjoy the music and the ride without getting the meal for a cheaper price, and that is what I would recommend. They have a decent concession counter, so consider that instead of the meal unless you are all planning to be super hungry. Also, if you get the meal, don’t bother paying for the window seat for the extra fee. It is easy to see well from anywhere. Over all, it’s worth going, great for any age.
Nicole B — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars) Sailing with BB Riverboats was such a wonderful experience! The ride offered breathtaking views of the Cincinnati skyline and the baseball stadium, especially as the sun began to set. The atmosphere was calm and scenic — perfect for photos or simply enjoying the moment. The staff was friendly, the boat was clean, and everything ran smoothly from boarding to docking. The buffet was surprisingly good for a river cruise, with plenty of choices and great service throughout. It’s a must-do if you’re visiting the area or just want a relaxing evening on the water with a beautiful city view. Highly recommended!
Antonio B — Google review
Well i was very disappointed with the condition of the boat. It was very low scale literally in poor condition. I have 26 guess to celebrate my birthday. I was totally embarrassed of the boat condition. The food was horrible. The best thing was they had great staff. Bring your own food. The band was good but, they could come up to date.

My daughter got me the brunch Riverboat Jazz for my birthday. It was wonderful the food was great the atmosphere was wonderful drinks were good. The sights was amazing we even floted by while the Bengals was scoring a touchdown and their Stadium and you could hear the crowds.

10/10 RECOMMEND for wedding! We had our ceremony at River’s Edge and cocktail hour aboard the River Queen, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. Jenna was absolutely amazing—so kind, organized, and supportive every step of the way. She went above and beyond to bring our vision to life, always quick to respond and somehow managed to keep me calm through it all! As for the cruise, Missy and our Captain were just as wonderful. They made sure every detail was perfect, took incredible care of our guests, and added such a fun, personal touch to the experience. They even let us take photos in the captain’s seat—such a memorable moment!
Jenny H — Google review
Had an amazing boat tour experience with BB riverboats. Great downtown views with urban areas all around. Night time views were great too. Overall a great experience. Souvenir shop is also available on the boat along with dining options (we didn’t do that). Book tickets before you go.
Atika H — Google review
Getting there, parking, entry and staff were all very nice. On board was not huge but big enough you didn't feel cramped at all. We went in the evening so views were limited but the city lights of Cincy were awesome. Food was good, tad bit dry on some things but thats normal for a buffet style meal. Wait staff was super nice and once we were underway music was playing and we were off. Views of the city were great and the trip from start to finish was about 3 hours. Got on at 6:15 and we got off around 9pm. Slow cruise up and down the Ohio River and upper back views were beautiful. If you've never been, go, its fun for all ages.

Definitely recommend taking a river boat cruise! This activity is truly a hidden gem in Cincinnati. The dinner buffet was tasty and the cruise was just long enough.

John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge

Bridge
The John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge, an iconic 19th-century landmark connecting Kentucky and Ohio, boasts a span of 1,057 feet and was the world's longest suspension bridge upon its opening in 1866. Designed by John A. Roebling, who also designed the Brooklyn Bridge, this engineering marvel offers panoramic views of the Ohio River and has been a cherished part of Cincinnati's history for over 150 years.
This is one of the iconic landmarks of Cincinnati and this suspension bridge connects the Cincinnati city over the Ohio River. As per history this bridge was first made as a model before the New York Brooklyn Bridge was made. It was amazing to cross over this bridge as this was so majestic.
Isuru D — Google review
It's an incredible place. We arrived as the sun was setting, and I got the best views. There were lots of people enjoying this incredible place. You can spend hours walking around here and never get bored.
Paula M — Google review
Beautiful historic suspension bridge connecting Cincinnati and Covington. Designed by the creator of the Brooklyn Bridge, it offers stunning skyline and river views. Perfect for a scenic walk and photos, especially at sunset.
Sianna L — Google review
Had a great trip. The bridge is awesome. There is a small parking lot beneath the bridge. But it was closed for an event. So we had to park somewhere else. There are Mural drawings and CVO sign to take pictures and couple of porta potties too.
Ram — Google review
really beautiful at night, both the bridge itself and the city view!
Sihao C — Google review
An iconic landmark that beautifully connects Cincinnati, Ohio with Covington, Kentucky. Walking across the bridge is a unique experience — the blue steel structure, historic stone towers, and sweeping views of the Ohio River and skyline make it unforgettable. You can feel both history and engineering brilliance here (it was the prototype for the Brooklyn Bridge!). At sunset, the views are stunning, and the lighting at night adds even more charm. Whether walking, jogging, biking, or just taking photos, this is a must-visit spot in Cincinnati.
Jacques L — Google review
Beautiful bridge! Quick walk to & from Covington, Kentucky to see a fantastic view of downtown Cincinnati (not included because you'll just have to see it yourself.)
Jaclyn W — Google review
One of the best parts of Cincinnati. Whether you're on the KY side of the Cincinnati side, there's never a bad photo of this bridge. When my partner and I came to town I took him to see the bridge and the amazing views and parks that surround the area of the Roebling suspension bridge. Convenience to lots of walking areas, restaurants, hotels, airbnbs and all the fun and excitement that Cincinnati and NKY offers. Definitely take a moment and experience the bridge. They also did an awesome display during BLINK.

Picture yourself spreading out a picnic blanket while watching barges glide by and counting cars on the iconic Roebling Suspension Bridge.

Love the history, the view. Serenity overlooking bustle and busy. Beautiful especially at night. Close to Roebling Bridge
Danine G — Google review
This park has the absolute best view of downtown Cincinnati. It's not a big park, but it's a great place to sit and relax. Surrounded by beautiful, historic homes and just blocks away from coffee shops, restaurants, and more, it's a great area to walk and enjoy the scenery. Take a walk down the riverside, as well. Street parking available, but parking can be tight at times. Some spots may be metered. A hot spot for wedding photos (I should know!)

I love this park! Especially at night! It was a warm, clear sky night with a cool breeze, the lights reflecting off of the river, man. What a view! It can get a little crowded at times! But when it's not, it's a very zenful place!!!

Nature & Parks
Nestled across the river from Cincinnati, Devou Park is a sprawling 700-acre oasis that offers an array of outdoor activities for everyone. This hilly retreat features scenic trails perfect for walking or biking, catering to all fitness levels. For those seeking adventure, the park boasts one of the newest mountain-biking trail systems in the area, complete with backcountry routes and challenging inclines.
PROS ➕ Great overlook area ➕ Extensive trail systems ➕ Large parking lots ➕ Amenities CONS ➖ None Date visited: 05/27/2025 I thought Memorial Day was perfect for seeing the park, so I went to Devou Park. I had heard about its epic overlook of downtown Cincinnati. The crowd ruined it for me. I went again the next day. It was rainy and chilly, uncommon for late spring, but it chased away the crowd. I saw only two people. The road looped around the park, stretched forever, but eventually led me to a vantage point. The city lay before me. A light shower cast a thin veil over the scene. I could not see far, so I let my imagination fill in the gaps. Most landmarks were still visible: the bridges, the ballparks, the skyscrapers. The once-vibrant green trees had turned a strange shade of gray or blended into the mist. The rain grew heavier. Fortunately, parking was generous even on busy days. I found a spot just steps away from the overlook. A platform had been built for the crowd. Picnic chairs and tables sat sparsely but strategically. On rainy days, I would sit in one of the two small pavilions with solid roofs nearby. I tried one of the park restrooms. It was usable, but the smell was horrendous. Beside the famous overlook, the park also offered shelters and hiking trails—an extensive system, really. I will definitely come back for them. Tears on city line, soft mist hangs on thin smoke walls, divides earth and sky.
Thang — Google review
Nice little park to get an awesome view of downtown. There was a firework planned that evening, so cars were not allowed . So we had to park the car a little far on the streetand walk back to see the view.

This park has the BEST view of the Cincy skyline. It also has a great paved walking trail for beginners. I always see deer here and my kids love the playgrounds. There are a lot of adventures to be had at Devou Park.
Bridget T — Google review
Loved the golf course. It's not very long but is very hilly and narrow making it a challenge. The folks there were very friendly. The view of Cincinnati from the 5th green is stunning. Would definitely recommend this course.
Jeff B — Google review
Beautiful view of downtown Cincinnati. There is a nice grassy area, benches, eating areas, and big heavy duty swings with an excellent view.

A gem of Covington. Killer views of the river and cities. Nicely maintained paths and nature spaces. Museum is a must!

Really great and well maintained mountain bike trails, tons of options for beginners, and lots of fun trails and jumps for those who are more experience!
Nico Z — Google review
Montague / Sleepy Hollow Trail. Location is right off Montague Road on the west side of Devou Park. Excellent running trail. Get over a 5k if you do the loop. The first .7 miles are rocky and also climb elevation quickly. If the trail is wet , watch for slick conditions. You also have rocks and roots to contend with. After .7 or so you reach a hairpin curve. Maybe a couple more elevations, switchbacks. After that you start a downhill path. Go all out or go slow. Exhilarating descent! Watch for turtles , and squirrels! Ample parking. There is also a porta-potty , a few tables, and even a changing room. Walker and pets welcome just see the rules.

Sandwich shop
Tom & Chee is a local chain that offers a variety of creative grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soups, and salads. They excel at the classic grilled cheese and tomato soup combo, offering a range of cheesy melts with different proteins, toppings, and cheeses. The restaurant gained fame after appearing on popular TV shows like Man vs. Food Nation, The Chew, Shark Tank, and Amazing Eats.
This is my go-to semi-healthy lunch option at Newport Levee. It’s a family-friendly spot with delicious food, conveniently located near the aquarium, mall shopping, and other entertainment in the Levee. The service is quick, so you don’t have to wait long for your food. I used to always order the half sandwich with either soup or salad, but this time, I went for the full sandwich since the half portion wasn’t quite enough for me. The portions are good, but I just can’t get enough! A great spot for a tasty and satisfying meal.
JeJuJe O — Google review
My visit to Tom and Chee was fantastic, and it was made even better by the incredible service from Joyce. She didn't just serve us; her warm and welcoming presence made us feel completely at home. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care truly set her apart. Joyce is a gem and a huge reason we'll be back!
Nema E — Google review
Got a build your own melt with mozzarella, cheddar, onions, peppers and pickles. That was decent, the only reason for the extra star . The garlic cheese tots were nasty, that garlic sauce on it is so gross I can't even describe it. The Mac and cheese was terrible, so chalky and no flavor! The girl who checked us out was also rude. The lady in the kitchen was very sweet and talked to my son!
Liberty S — Google review
This place is so delicious! I was in Newport for a field trip with my kiddos, and we stopped here for lunch. The Mac & Cheese is so thick and creamy. I got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it was the perfect blend of warm and crunchy! Don’t even get me started on the chocolate chip cookies! A great meal and a great price!
Jess M — Google review
Everything was delicious, down to the kids grilled cheese! The half salad and half sandwich was filling! I got the Caesar salad with a ham and pepper jack sandwich with peppers, onions and it was sooo good! Had pesto for the side but it didn’t need it! It was flavorful without it!

We had such a great experience here! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. Joyce went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — she gave us great recommendations, checked in often, and made us feel right at home. The food was amazing. The chef even came out personally to greet us and offered a sample dish, which was a really nice surprise and showed how much pride they take in their work. Highly recommend this place
G D — Google review
A very nice place to eat after visiting the aquarium. They have a lot of seating available, including a lot of larger tables that are perfect for families. They serve Pepsi products here (that's an immediate bonus for me). My fiance really loved his buffalo chicken melt. He said his Mac and cheese was decent but left something to be desired. I liked my bacon and cheese melt, but the cheese was a bit overpowering so it wasn't quite as bacon-y as I expected (don't get it twisted, though -- it was still delicious). The Mac and Chee donut was... Bizarre. It's not something that I would order again, but I'm glad I tried it and I would recommend others try it too. The prices weren't bad for what we got, and we received our order very quickly. They had Cartoon Network playing on the televisions and soft music playing, making a good atmosphere.
Julia D — Google review
I had been wanting to try tom and chee for a few weeks now. I came with my fiancé after I had a really rough day at work and wanted comfort food. We arrived at 6:45pm on a Wednesday. Very obviously not busy and the staff was cleaning up. Every chair was on the tables and it was clear they were trying to leave early. We asked if they were still open and they said yes, we informed them we had never been there and the staff said “oh great, I’ll be back in two minutes” and went into the back after continuing to clean up after we walked in. One staff member stood aside on their phone while we awkwardly stood there at the counter before going into the back. The whole experience felt very uncomfortable and very awkward. We decided to leave before she came back due to the feeling of being unwelcome. I’ve worked in food service, and I understand wanting to leave early when it’s been dead but customer service is still important. Don’t plan to come back but the food looked really good.

I was there before a Bengals game so the place was busy but the barman was attentive and the service was good. I ordered the bacon, apple, and blue cheese pizza which was very tasty and had an excellent crust although, if anything, had a bit too much blue cheese but it's normally the opposite. There was a decent craft beer selection as well.

Steak house
Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse is an upscale, stylish restaurant known for its handcrafted steaks and seafood offerings. With an art-deco style, it has been a Cincinnati landmark for over 20 years and has attracted A-list patrons like Adam Sandler and Robert De Niro. The restaurant features a raw bar, live music lounge with a 1865 Steinway piano, and nationally acclaimed USDA Prime steaks.
I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at Jeff Ruby's, and it was an unforgettable first-time experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the valet, every detail was thoughtfully executed with remarkable hospitality. Our server, Jason, delivered impeccable service—truly among the best I’ve ever encountered. He was not only highly professional and attentive but also impressively knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, which elevated our dining experience even further. We reserved a private dining room for 18 guests. Though a few attendees canceled at the last minute, Jason handled the situation with grace and professionalism, gently reminding me of the contractual minimum in the most respectful manner. I genuinely appreciated his thoughtfulness in how he approached it. Everything—from the ambiance to the cuisine and service—was exceptional. I am already looking forward to returning and would highly recommend Jeff Ruby's to anyone seeking a special and sophisticated dining experience.

Jeff Ruby’s downtown Cincinnati location delivers an excellent culinary experience, impeccable service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s an ideal spot to celebrate life’s special moments. Dinner started with fresh bread smothered in signature truffle butter, which was delicious with the flavorful salad. The tender, juicy fillet was served with creamy mashed potatoes and tender asparagus. After dinner, a fantastic chocolate cake arrived with fresh blackberries and raspberries, encircled by a blended fresh fruit drizzle, accompanied by the rich, smooth flavor of vanilla bean ice cream.

Went here for the first time on a Saturday evening (party of 2). We had to reserve about 1.5 months in advance. This was one of the best steak meals we have ever had. The front of the house was so friendly and accommodating. Our servers were absolutely fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for more attentive and fun, friendly servers. We sat outside on the patio but the bar area with the elevated piano looked like a great time as well. There was live music the entire time we were there. Atmosphere is beautiful and intriguing everywhere you look. For drinks throughout the night, we had old fashioned, dirty martinis, and Tempranillo wine. All were perfect. Now onto the food… The very first thing they brought out, bread and butter was AMAZING. I couldn’t believe how good it was to be honest. We ordered the crab cake and pork belly for apps, then a Caesar salad, then the Miyazaki wagyu NY strip and a 12oz lobster tail. For sides we got the Tso green beans, Mac n chs, and Anna’s potatoes. All of the food was so good, but the wagyu was out of this world good. I can’t even explain how delicious it was, you just need to try it. We finished the meal with cheesecake and a cappuccino. The table next to us got the Air Ruby and it was literally a chocolate dessert shaped like an Air Jordan. It was one of the weirdest but most amazing desserts I’ve seen. We made friends and they let us try it. It was delicious. Overall this meal was a 10/10. I could go on and on. We could not have asked for a better night out. Can’t wait to go back.

Just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here on Tuesday the 30th of September. We had never been to Jeff Ruby’s or any restaurant like it in a very long time. I was pleasantly surprised as the hype was real. This was by far the best dining experience we have ever had. We were seated within minutes. The service was impeccable and our server Stephanie was absolutely fantastic! My wife enjoyed a Mulled Berry Mojito. The crab cakes we ordered for an appetizer were beyond delicious. I ordered a New York strip with garlic butter and a baked potato. My wife ordered the steak Collinsworth with baked Mac n cheese. Everything was perfect! Our entree’s came shortly after we finished our appetizers but long enough for us to talk and enjoy the atmosphere. After we finished our dinner our server brought us a wonderful dessert which was complimentary. We really did enjoy every moment together here and it could not have been a more enjoyable experience! All the food was amazing but I highly recommend the crab cakes.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! We hosted a large group, and from the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the evening feel special. The food was exceptional, as always. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and every side dish was delicious. What really stood out most was the hospitality — attentive, professional, and warm. Planning a celebration for a big group can be stressful, but the team made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable. Thank you to everyone at Jeff Ruby’s for making my milestone birthday so memorable. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough for special occasions or an outstanding night out!

Listen, I’ve eaten some good meals in my life, but whatever the hell happened inside Jeff Ruby’s Speakeasy that Friday night was basically a religious experience with cocktails. Our crew of 8 rolled in for our annual baseball trip — we clean up just enough to pass for “gentlemen,” but let’s be honest, we’re a traveling pack of loudmouths who argue about who should’ve bunted in the 7th inning of a 2003 Tigers game. Somehow, they still gave us a private room. Bold move, Jeff Ruby’s. The place looks like Sinatra and Elvis opened a casino in Heaven. Gold trim, velvet everywhere, and chandeliers that probably cost more than my car. They even customized the menus with the Cincinnati Reds logo — so of course, we felt like VIPs who just signed multi-million dollar contracts. And I’ve got to give a huge shoutout to Maggie Rixson, who set the whole thing up for us. Maggie is an absolute rockstar — made sure our group was taken care of from start to finish, and somehow made us look more sophisticated than we actually are. She’s the kind of person who could organize a dinner for the Rolling Stones and still remember your drink order. The food? Unreal. The steaks were so tender I considered proposing. The mac and cheese might have violated several laws of physics. Every side dish slapped harder than a Reds fastball, and by dessert — a chilled Reds cake masterpiece — we were ready to sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” in harmony. The staff? Absolute legends. They were everywhere — like stealth ninjas with wine bottles, making sure no glass ever saw the bottom. I swear at one point they refilled my bourbon telepathically. And I’ve got to give credit where it’s due — my friend Jamie highly recommended Jeff Ruby’s, and she was absolutely right. This place isn’t just dinner; it’s an event. When the night ended, we didn’t just leave full. We left changed. I’m pretty sure one guy in our group achieved enlightenment somewhere between the filet and the crème brûlée. Five stars. Would sell a kidney to go back.

OUTSTANDING! I can’t even begin to describe this incredible experience from the moment I called to reserve, the atmosphere, the service, the food. This is a must in your LIfe, it’s impossible to be disappointed here. A true, raw gem that captured my heart and we will be forever customers and come visit Cincinnati just to come to this restaurant. They even personalized the menu, I can’t say enough positive words about this place that is surreal. Thank you to all he amazing team at Jeff Rubys for making my boyfriend’s 50th birthday memorable! Don’t forget to ask for the best dessert you’ll ever eat in your life.

My family and I were fortunate enough to eat dinner here last night to celebrate our late father's first heavenly birthday and it was the best meal we have ever had. Our server, Michael, was absolutely incredible and he helped make this experience a 100/10. Bawe, the director of hospitality and experiences, was exceptional and stopped in to check on us as did the restaurant front manager whose name is slipping my mind. We were delighted to meet Jeff Ruby and hear about his connection to our Dad, who used to work for Jeff back in the day at one his restaurants. We have never had a more hospitable experience at a restaurant and the food was divine. I will dream about the lobster gnocchi and crab cake, which was the best I have ever had. We will be back!

Founded by Rick Couch and Carus Waggoner, who previously worked on projects for Cirque Du Soleil in Las Vegas, this whimsical distillery offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Visitors can enjoy house-distilled spirits while getting their fortunes told by a fish tank.
We LOVE this place. The bartender was just the best! What a talent! While we didn't order a coffee, we witnessed her artistry for another customer. Just amazing. We enjoyed a Snowfall Spritz and an old fashion: both delicious! The place is something to experience. Personal touches everywhere! Take a flip through the sketch books, talk with local regulars, and chat with the knowledgeable bartender....so incredibly enjoyable! Thanks for adding to our anniversary celebration! Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!!

If you are a fan of bourbon/whiskey and trying to find some great craft spots, then Second Sights Spirits in Ludlow, KY is a must stop. An incredible story, with great hospitality and the owners are so awesome. Side perk, they serve coffee too! They are part of the B-Line in Northern Kentucky and part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Stopped in for a tour today. It was just my wife and I. Rick, one of the owners, was our guide. I really liked the one on one with him. Got to ask lots of questions and learned a lot about distilling and bourbon. Thanks Rick!! Loved the apple pie moonshine!!

This used to be a vibrant, queer friendly show bar that my fiancée and I absolutely loved. We regularly attended creative, inclusive shows organized by talented drag performers like Tara and Montana. These events showcased diverse local talent and offered a truly unique experience that felt celebratory and community centered. After moving out of the area, we recently returned with high hopes, but sadly the vibe has completely changed. The once innovative drag shows have been replaced with generic, uninspired burlesque performances that lean heavily into the male gaze. The lineup now seems to primarily feature slim, white, cis performers, with little to no representation of BIPOC, plus size, or visibly LGBTQ+ individuals. The diversity and heart that once made this place special is sorely lacking. The bar service was equally underwhelming. Our bartender, Morgan, served weak, overly iced drinks and came across as disinterested and even mildly annoyed to be engaging with us. Her demeanor felt condescending, marked by blank stares and sizing up glances that made us feel unwelcome. It's especially disappointing to receive that kind of energy from someone working in what was once a more inclusive space. We offered to Venmo her $30 in exchange for $20 in singles to tip the cast - something we’ve done at many venues without issue. She declined (which is her prerogative), but followed it up with a passive-aggressive lecture about “remembering to bring cash to tip.” While the point isn’t wrong, the tone was unnecessarily smug, especially considering we were trying to support the performers and staff more generously. And simultaneously tip for for her troubles of exchanging her bar tips. This used to be a place where the community came together to celebrate queer artistry. Now, it feels more like a watered down, sanitized version of what it once was... with poor service and diminished inclusivity. We left disappointed, and honestly, a bit disheartened. We hope the owners consider returning to their roots and bringing back the kind of diverse, affirming, and creative programming that made this venue such a special space for the NKY community.

Toured at second sight today as part of a bourbon road trip (9 distilleries in 4 days). Without giving much away it was an entertaining journey that started with 2 friends and an idea that has blossomed into a rags to hopefully one day riches story. Everything we tried there; from the samples on tour to the craft cocktails at their bar was amazing. Go to see their vision on a craft distillery, it was our best decision today and will be yours too.

This stunning Art Deco masterpiece, built in 1933 and recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, houses an impressive array of attractions including the Cincinnati History Museum, the Duke Energy Children's Museum, and a fascinating Museum of Natural History & Science. With over 1.
We had a beautiful and interactive experience here. I particularly loved the cave exhibit. It was a very accurate representation! This is a place that you should have on your list if you're to visit Cincinnati! The fact that the museum is located in an old transportation terminal is even more special. 🥰

The Cincinnati Museum Center is such a cool spot. The Art Deco building alone is worth the visit; seriously gorgeous and full of vintage charm. We grabbed tickets on Groupon which made it super easy (saved a few dollars), and the exhibits ended up being way more fun and interactive than I expected (even just for two adults). We skipped the kids’ museum this time, but the other areas had so many hands-on things that I’m sure the children’s section is awesome too. We spent about 3–4 hours wandering around and never felt too crowded, even on a Sunday morning. Parking was a easy. Overall, just a really fun, easy, and memorable way to spend half a day.

The museum was stunning. A majority of the exhibits are interactive to some degree which makes it even cooler for adults. The childrens museum is WICKED cool complete with a town; supermarket, house, post office, dump, dentist office ect 🥰🥹 took our 18m.o. our 4y.o. and nana and everyone had a fantastic time. 4 hours very well spent and we probably missed a couple spots. We will definitely be back!

Loved this place. So educational. The miniature Cincinnati setup was amazing especially switching from day to night and trolleys, trains, and cars movie. Oh and the plane circling. I was mesmerized. The ice cream sadly was closed. Just a gorgeous structure. Loved that the original doors were still in use and there were other items from long ago that were used. One complaint. The food at the restaurant was simply awful. $17 for a hot dog, chips, and drink. The hot dog was tossed it was just that bad on a cold stale bun with only ketchup and mustard as options. The hog dog was cold. For that alone I won't return. The staff, except one lady who served the tray at the counter, weren't cordial. She was though. Didn't have plain chips so she watched my tray while I was told to go back out of the restaurant and select some and return. I want my money back! Lol. Stay away from the restaurant.

I enjoy my time at the museum. It was very interesting and diverse exhibits. However I believe most adults would rather go during the week when their are fewer children running around.

What a great place to visit. My daughter had the best time, and I even enjoyed myself. My daughter especially wanted to see the Barbie exhibit, and she wasn't disappointed. I have to say myself I even enjoyed it. The cave system was awesome, but there were a few spots where a more rounder person like myself might have a hard time squeezing, though. I was able to do it with a little holding my breath, lol.

Washington Park is a six-acre civic park located in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine district. It was acquired by the city in 1863 and has a rich history, including being the site of the 1888 Centennial Exposition of the Ohio Valley. The park features a playground, splash pad, dog park, and space for cultural events and performances. Renovated in 2012, it offers various amenities such as an outdoor bar, underground parking garage, and water playgrounds.
This park is awesome. So much to do on the playground for all ages. There’s a castle with slides and hiding places, large astroturf wobble board-like structures, a sandbox, and so much more. The vibes are good — friendly parents and kids, very diverse families and very clean!

It's a very nice green space with splash pad type skippers located for kids to play. They also have a play area. Cleanish free restrooms. Nice shaded areas with benches to enjoy a picnic. Nice view of the concert hall. Easy to find parking on a holiday. We saw many people doing picnics.

Washington Park is a lot of fun. They have something for almost everyone. If you want a drink, there is a walk-up bar. If you want some food, they have food trucks parked along the outside of the park. If you want to read a book, you can sit alongside (and even inside) the gazebo. There are water features to cook down your dog on a hot day. Maybe most importantly, the bathrooms are clean and functional. Great spot for everyone in the community and the Connector runs right by and has a stop that lets you off right at the heart of it all. Cool spot.

Truly a must see music hall, The tours cost $20 and there are inside and outside tours. I did the inside tour and it was amazing! Love the story of the history of the music hall they even played the organ for us in the ballroom at the end. Ask them to play the organ and they may do it for you.

Wonderful urban Park with a vibrant history. The surrounding shops (including Findlay market) and restaurants make it super easy to have a picnic here. The dog park is also top notch with an amazing water feature running through it for the dogs to play and cool off in. The outdoor bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. An outdoor jungle gym and splash pad round out the offerings. With a little something for everyone, Washington Park is a real gem.

Chef Stephen Williams established the restaurant as a pioneer in embracing local and sustainable farming. With deep relationships with over 50 local farmers, the menu is constantly evolving to showcase the freshest seasonal ingredients.
Such an amazing experience. Bouquet has such a fantastic modern urban vide while keeping traditional architecture of old Covington. The food was all completely unique and balanced with a wide variety of offerings. The tapas style helped to sample a variety of fantastic options. The wine/drink pairings helped to build upon the dining experience. The staff was superb with top notch service and offered great suggestions upon our palate. Alexandra, our server was so attentive and kind the whole experience. We 100% recommend Bouquet!

This is honestly one of the best tasting restaurants I’ve had in the Cincinnati area. It’s a small menu but they do it will and are very good at adapting to dietary restrictions. My wife got tofu subbed in the risotto dish that originally had fish and it was still amazing! I will be back to try a few more dishes because everything tasted healthy and refreshing. It’s an older building but they stay true to their roots of farm to table. Certainly would recommend for a date night!

Great atmosphere and superb servers just not a traditional dining experience so know what you're getting into but I highly recommend the culinary journey. Enjoy !

Braxton Brewing Company is a craft beer brewery that offers a wide range of year-round and seasonal brews, as well as house-roasted coffees. The fact that they not only have a bar on the ground level and an event area on the second floor, they also have the rooftop bar that is incredible! There's shaded areas, tables for sitting or standing, a great view, etc. This is a place you really need to check out. Plus, the beer was delicious!!!

The female bartender was rude but otherwise it was cool. Went to an event on the rooftop. Definitely needs more shade up there!! The pizza was okay and the salad was good. The drinks offered on the rooftop were limited but good

First of all, the beer is stellar. They have something available for every taste. Second, the atmosphere is just as good as the beer. The restaurant is known for its delightful brunch featuring unique twists on classic dishes, such as the Eggs Benedict served on a cheesy bacon grit cake with country ham. The cozy interior adorned with local art and eclectic salt and pepper shakers creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests to enjoy their meal.
Loved the ambience, food and ofcourse the detailing of the interiors as well. It is a good blend of artsy, elevated, chic design with beautiful details! Perfect for a date night with great food options. Their fried green tomatoes is the best I’ve ever had! We had the berry salad and the pork chop and the pork chop was pretty good! Our server was Anya and she was wonderful and so was the rest of the staff, were friendly and accommodating and had the best recommendations!

Otto's elevates the dining experience with its inviting atmosphere and a menu bursting with fresh, flavorful dishes. The food is beautifully presented, featuring a variety of fresh and flavorful options. The Brie Berry Salad is a standout, with its mix of grapes, brie, and blueberries complemented by caramelized pecans. The Burrata dish, served with roasted cherry tomatoes and garlic, is rich and satisfying, especially with the toasted baguette. The Chicken Salad sandwich with candied pecans and mixed greens is a tasty choice, paired perfectly with sweet potato fries. The menu also includes creative specials like the Seared Salmon with Thai chili sauce. Eric’s exceptional service made the meal even more enjoyable. A must-visit!

We went here off of a recommendation from family. We can see why. It was comfort food with a New Orleans twist. I enjoyed the Cajun pasta dish. I love how the chicken was shredded, you could taste the freshness of the vegetables, and the sauce was gravy-like and creamy. My fiancé had the braised short ribs which was tender, it said it reminded him of home mama used to make. There was a hint of nostalgia in each dish. The fried green tomatoes a tasty appetizer to begin with. It is a quaint, little place. It can be a little loud. The staff seemed slightly overwhelmed and inattentive at times, but overall that doesn’t take away from the overall experience.

Went to Otto's for an early Halloween dinner. We were seated right away and the service was great throughout. They have a great bourbon and beer menu. The place has a great atmosphere. Everything we had was terrific. The cornbread, flatbread , and tomato soup were all fantastic. The short ribs were split up for us and were so tender and delicious. The veggies, mashed potatoes, and the gravy were amazing. Loved our time there.

Annie M was very attentive, kind and had a very happy face. For everyone, actually. I just wanted to say how pleased and surprised we were with how good everything was. Otto’s has been a Covington staple since 2003, and it’s easy to see why. I had the filet, cooked perfectly and elevated by an incredible blue cheese sauce that tied everything together. The service was friendly, the atmosphere warm and welcoming — the kind of classic spot that’s been doing things right for over 20 years. We’ll definitely be back.

I also tried their campfire old fashioned, which was great but could have been even better if they toasted the marshmallows at the table.
Great food located next door to Braxton Brewery! We were impressed by everything we ordered. We had the Mutter Gottes as an appetizer. It is basically 3 different breadsticks filled with different items, each served with an accompanying sauce for dipping. All 3 were really good! We then had the Parlor Club and Turkey Reuben with mac and cheese. Again....AMAZING!! Our service was fairly quick and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Came here on a date and the food was delicious. Smoked wings were on par with Midway/Mt Lookout Tavern/The Oak. The Hot Brown was mind blowing. I'll come back specifically for that dish again. I ordered the campfire old fashioned and the only thing that could've made it better would have been if they toasted the marshmallows at my table! We will definitely be back. The only criticism I have was that service and the kitchen seemed to be struggling to communicate with one another. I'm sure the team is just working out the kinks of a new restaurant. PS: you can order from Parlor while inside Braxton Brewery... Treat yourself to the breadsticks or the pretzels and Storm beer cheese. You will not be disappointed.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I was very pleased. The atmosphere is comfortable and not too loud. The service was exceptional and the food was outstanding. You definitely want to try the Hanky Panky and save room for the cookies and milk for dessert. Parlor on Seventh is my new favorite place in Covington.

The food was great! The staff were accommodating. I loved the unique flavors! Can't wait to return. Everything was incredibly clean, too.

The best place we have been to in Northern Kentucky!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The food was excellent! Not typical bar food! We had the hot brown and pesto chicken thighs! Both were so delicious!

Absolutely delicious food and cocktails. Went as a family and everyone loved the food. Mom and I enjoyed our cocktails and we all agreed we will be back.

So beautiful and open inside, perfect for watching Sunday football and eating some delicious food! There’s something for everyone on the menu whether you’re wanting a burger and fries or something on the healthier side. Great service from the nicest people. It’s located right next to Braxton so you can head there for rooftop drinks right after

I was like a shark in a school of minnows looking at the menu. Everything looked so good. It delivered. I’ll definitely be back. Parlor is comfortable, delicious, fun, easy and hip. I’m a huge fan.

Chicken restaurant
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is a popular chicken restaurant that features spicy fried chicken, handcrafted tenders, delicious seafood options, and red beans and rice. The menu also includes buttermilk biscuits and more.
My commute had taken me away from this location for a while but today when I drove past I decided I'd stop in for some spicy chicken. The staff was extremely nice and pleasant to deal with both at the speaker and then again at the window. The food was prepared quickly and everything was fresh and good quality. Today was the best experience I've ever had at a Popeyes. I look forward to stopping by more often. Keep up the good work Popeyes Covington!

Placed an online order to try the chicken wraps. Upon arrival I was told I had to come inside for online orders, no big deal. Inside I had to wait for 15 minutes when there was only one person ahead of me at the counter. The chicken is unbeatable. I couldn’t even tear it apart it was so dry and rubbery and was not fit to eat. This is some sketchy chicken. This is my first ever review as I never take the time but this is mind blowing and worth it if it can save someone else the time and money to avoid this place

Tonight June 30th 2025. At around 9:30 p.m. I went to Popeyes in Covington Kentucky I live in Cincinnati but I was over in Kentucky and decided to grab something to eat I stopped at Popeyes I ordered four piece meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and a side of coleslaw a three-piece meal with a side of coleslaw I paid $25 and what I got was chicken breasts that looked old and dried out even though I asked for no breasts I asked for two thighs a leg and a wing spicy I did not get spicy chicken the coleslaw was spoiled they poured my drinks into two separate small cups because they didn't have any regular size cups the pop turned out to be seltzer water it was supposed to be a Sprite both coleslaws were spoiled I will never go back to Popeyes again. I didn't realize what I had until after I got home and check the bag I didn't take it back because I live in Cincinnati and that's a pretty long drive.

This is the 1st time in several years I had this and it was actually good. Other locations I would rate a 2 (only because it all makes a turd). But this store was busy AND getting orders out with hot fresh food!! I gave the girl who waired on me $5 and told her she definitely makes a great difference in the fast food space. She smiled big and was grateful. Only issue was the lobby appearance:>( Miller Rd AND Clio Rd. Flint needs this level of service ASAP.

I swear this is the worst Popeyes I’ve ever stepped into. The whole place is chaos dirty tables, lazy workers, and a manager who acts like he’s doing you a favor by just standing there. I waited forever for my food, and when it finally came, it was a complete joke. The chicken looked like it was fried last week, dripping oil everywhere, fries soggy, and the biscuit could break a window. The staff talk to people like they don’t care, no respect, no professionalism it’s honestly embarrassing. Whoever owns this place clearly doesn’t give a damn about customers or quality. This Popeyes needs new management, new training, and maybe a reality check. Absolutely disgusting service. Never again.

I deeply recommend whoever is in charge of this location to pull up the cameras and figure out what the actual this place is doing right now. They’re declining my calls, telling everyone they have no food, being super rude, saying “we don’t have food” then slamming the window shut. I am appalled rn. How do they have absolutely nothing for me to buy. And how are they getting away with this. I wonder how much money this place is missing out on. 10/23/25 10:10pm

I have been here two days in a row as a door Dasher. Keeping in mind that I am also a manager at a nearby restaurant, they don't put customers first. The bigger white guy who has been the manager lately is awful. No customer service skills. Very rude and off-putting. Told me they had the order then said they didn't. His little girlfriend was in the dining room and he served her then followed her outside when there was only one other worker left inside the store. She even harassed me about how there was only two workers there and how they could use the help, but has been getting free food for days when her manager "friend" is working..even the dog in her car was barking at him, but he still gave them free food and proceeded to leave the one crew member inside alone..I've pulled up to this place multiple times and he is sitting on his butt outside smoking cigarettes. He is lazy and has terrible customer service skills and has no idea how to run a restaurant, or how to keep employees. This dude needs fired.

Since they didn’t want to Answer the phone or sent it straight to Voice Mail I order in the drive around 2:47-2:50pm 10/22/25 went inside because the card machine wasn’t working for the drive thru I got to work went to eat my 3piece combo Leg wing, breast with fries and drink the wing and leg is fine but the Breast was under cooked the biscuit looked like it was just sitting under the light dough like texture it’s unacceptable that we pay our money and they don’t take food safety seriously the place is dirty the workers look dirty until it’s changed I will never go back there.

Restaurant
The Eagle OTR is a popular eatery and beer hall located in the historic Over-the-Rhine district. It's known for its perfectly crisp and juicy fried chicken, which is served with classic Southern sides like mac and cheese, spoonbread, succotash, coleslaw, white cheddar grits, collard greens, and tender biscuits drizzled with hot and spicy house honey.
Alright let’s get one thing straight: when a server says “this is my favorite app on the menu,” you order that app. These hush puppies were absolutely delicious. Perfectly crispy and the sauce the came with was a nice blend of sweet and tangy. Location was great, and overall, it felt affordable. If you can, sit in the outdoor beer garden. Prime people-watching spot
Charlie J — Google review
My family raved about The Eagle OTR, so the next time we were in town, they took me to try the fried chicken. I ordered the BBQ Pork Burnt Ends as an appetizer and two pieces of chicken with collard greens as my side. First, the burnt ends were tasty. The sauce was sweet and enhanced the flavor of the meat. When my dinner came, I started with the side dish, as I always do. If a restaurant takes the time to create delicious side dishes, you know the main course is going to be great as well. My collard greens were good, but a bit under-seasoned for my tastebuds. I would have preferred more pepper, but I can't ding the rating over a personal preference. The chicken itself was underwhelming. I give it a 3.5 rating while the appetizer and side dish were a solid 4.0. The service was good despite the place being packed with more guests waiting outside. All in all, The Eagle is a nice place to enjoy a meal.

We relocated from Houston to Ohio for work, and The Eagle OTR was highly recommended by a colleague. As a disclaimer I’m from Houston and am accustomed to having a plethora of dining options, of which all are delicious. I ordered collard greens, mac and cheese and of course fried chicken as the menu was limited in protein options. The greens were underwhelming and lacked seasoning and spice. The cheese used for the mac and cheese was far too strong for mac and cheese and needed smoked gouda to balance the flavor of the dish. The fried chicken was under seasoned but fried to perfection. The spoon bread was the star of the show. The atmosphere was welcoming and very chill. The drinks were strong and our server was attentive and friendly. It’s a good place to have a southern meal if you don’t know any better. I was raised on real southern cuisine so for me it didn’t meet the mark

Nice historic looking place with good service. I was told the hot honey chicken was a must so thats what I ordered. Honestly it was pretty average. The hot honey did make it better but it was just okay to me.

Honestly a banger. I had: Mac and cheese Fried chicken sandwich (ask for extra pickles) Blackberry lemonade It was perfect for two people. This place CRUSHES everything. The chicken? Brined, juicy, double dredged, then fried. Ask for EXTRA house made pickles, they're heavenly The mac and cheese? It's genuinely the best. They use garlic bread breadcrumbs on top and the flavor layering is exceptional. The blackberry lemonade? PERFECT TART LEMONADE! You can taste the lemons not just essential oils with berry syrup.

After many recommendations to come here, I finally was able to grab some lunch while in town this week. I was not disappointed! Looking over the menu, I had my reservations about the "worlds beat fried chicken" claim. And although I may not agree (just yet), I can see why some may feel this sentiment! I ordered the pork belly burnt ends as an appetizer, shrimp and grits and the half chicken order. Pork belly burnt ends 3/5 - tender chunks of pork belly smothered in a tangy bbq sauce and served with ranch. These were decent size bites of pork belly. Coming from Texas (BEST BBQ IN THE WORLD) I was expecting more of a grilled or smoked flavor. These may have been braised or boiled, as the pork itself didn't have much flavor and was carried by the sauce. Shrimp and Grits 3.8/5 - these were pretty good. White cheddar grits that are cooked like you would at granny's house in the south (not the creamy, fluffy, whipped fancy grits like most places). A bit runnier than my preference, but good flavor. These were topped with shrimp, Andouille sausage and a gravy that added some good contrast of flavor to the grits. Overall, very good and if they were thicker I'd move into the 4+ rating Half chicken 4.6/5 - yea... They know how to do some fried chicken! Double dredged and pressure fried to get that crispy skin but JUICY interior. Although you can see the flecks of pepper and seasoning in the coating, it isn't overly seasoned which leaves room for the honey drizzle (or drowning in my case lol). Very well prepared and cooked. Hats off to the chef(s)! Bartender (Carly) was very knowledgeable and attentive. Gave me the menu rundown since it's my first visit and shared her personal faves. Pro tip: she suggested getting the grilled cheese and adding a fried chicken Brest to it! There were a few more menu items I'd like to try, so I will definitely be back when I'm in town next month!

The chicken was by far the best! The succotash was without a doubt the best I've ever had and our server at the bar was great! Now for the bad....the bathroom was filthy with over flowing trash, the restaurant itself was extremely small and not like the one in Indianapolis where there is an abundance of room and the hostess when arriving was extremely rude! We will go back for their food but will grab and go.

Located in Covington, Smoke Justis is a multilevel sports bar that offers a wide range of experiences. Known for its smoked meats, craft beers, and extensive whiskey selection, it's the perfect spot to catch a game while indulging in decadent barbecue. The menu features popular items like the Catfish Dinner and during Lent, they offer specials like Smoked Tuna Dip and Smoked Crab Cakes on Fridays.
We had a nice time at Smoke Justis. We found a spot on one of the couches in the back by the bar. We went up to the bar to get drinks. It wasn’t crazy busy and still took a long long time to get our order in. My wife had a cosmo which she didn’t really care for. My old fashioned was really good right on point. We split the nachos, we got the full with smoked pork. They were very good. Loaded with toppings, we planned on it being an appetizer for dinner somewhere else later that evening but were so full we never got dinner. What made this a 5 star experience was I came in initially to see if they had koozies for sale because we get one every place we travel to and they don’t sell them but a worker went to the back and found a couple for us to have which was awesome as we had popped in 10-15 places before this one before we were gonna walk back over to Cincinnati. Really appreciated that. Would definitely check them out again and get the nachos!

This place looks amazing on the inside. One of the coolest looking bars that I have seen in the greater Cincinnati area. They have an excellent bourbon selection, and the bar tender was able to make me a delicious mint julip. The place used to be a phone operator switch board called the Citizens Telephone Building. It has amazing architecture on the inside, you just don’t see buildings like this anymore. Staff were friendly, and the bar tender was great. I would definitely come back again.

Ordered their $13 cobb salad with extra ranch to go. I recieved a side salad with 1 half full ramekin of ranch. There isn't enough ranch to cover the salad with the turkey in it so I had to remove it to be able to eat the dry lettuce..... 1st and last time eating here.

I have a wheat and soy allergy, and sometimes there are limited things I can eat. The manager here was so lovely and thorough in finding me something I could have, which was their wings and they were DELICIOUS! Definitely the best seasoned wings I have had, I ate them without a sauce they were so good! I reccommend the wings, and I really reccommend the service it was absolutley wonderful. My wife got the beef ribs and said they were delicious!

Smoke Justis has an amazing atmosphere and Great service, waiter was very friendly, we had the smoked wings appetizer and they did not disappoint. My meal was the smoked meat plate, the brisket was amazing, and the ribs were just ok, a little dry if I had to say anything negative, but not a deal breaker. Our party also had the brisket Mac n cheese and thought is was delicious, although the last plate was the smoked chicken bacon ranch wrap that was middle of the line. Overall we really liked Smoked Justis and will be back.

Madison Theater is a historic movie house that has been restored and now hosts rock music acts and various events. The venue has seen a surge in attendance, outperforming pre-pandemic expectations, as fans eagerly re-engage with live events. Visitors have praised the staff for their efforts in managing crowds during busy times. The atmosphere at Madison Theater is highly praised, with guests enjoying performances by bands like Ice Nine Kills and Wild Feathers.
Went there for the 1st time to see Spirit World. What a cool venue. Very let's call it intimate space. But everything was well placed to accommodate. Was an awesome show! Would definitely go again if the bands were right. That's me in the tour shirt.

Honestly this was my first time here, outside it was a 90°+ day. With that said the show didn't start until 8pm reasonably close to sundown. Not sure what was going on with the A/C, but, it was over 80°F inside and with over 600 other people everybody was feeling it. Other than that, the layout of the venue was decent for that size of a crowd. The bar access, variety, and efficiency was good. Restroom access was also good. I do think the balcony seating area steps could use some soft lighting for safety sake, LED varieties are plentiful.
Andrew C — Google review
Got to see Jerry Cantrell and the Blood Brothers Band play here and it was amazing. The light show was so well done, the sound was immersive and the bar staff was great :)
Alexandria C — Google review
A nice place for medium sized concert venue. Many restaurants in the local area for meals before events. Reasonable price drinks at the bar. It's very long and narrow and the walkways get quite crowded and are largely filled with patrons during the concerts I have attended at this venue. It does make it difficult to move if you need to get around in the facility. Definitely not handicapped accessible in the main auditorium. All in all, nice place to see a concert. A dated facility and it's offerings are minimal, accordingly. Restrooms are small for the size of the venue and lines can get long for longer concert events. The reason one star missing from the review is the poor policing that the staff does to keep the walkways clear. I get that concerts are casual events, but it would certainly be trouble if there were an emergency of some sort during a show. Most other venues do a lot to keep walkways clear at all times and this event center does not. Otherwise I like it a lot.
William J — Google review
1st time at this venue. We had tickets for INHALER for Bogarts in Cincinnati. They changed the venue 2 weeks before the concert. The venue was very nice, the security and staff which I got to meet a few of them in the 10 hours we sat in line for our daughter to get front row. Were all extremely nice. Really went out of the way. They passed out water to everyone though out the day and proceeded to pass it out before and during the concert. 10 out of 10 for customer service. The line was 2 blocks long! Acoustics for the concert were really nice. We purchased a table in bar area (again for Bogarts) and they had a a upstairs bar and upper balcony with tables and chairs. Which was a great view for the concert. Only complaint was they had a dance floor in front of the balcony which would have been amazing place to take photos and watch show but it was closed off. Again great place for concert or wedding reception!
John B — Google review
Nice little venue downtown. There are 3 levels progressing down to the stage. This makes for easy viewing without struggling to get "up front". Sound was above average. Smoking/vaping on the rooftop without having to leave the venue. Staff was courteous and efficient. Bar just offers the bare minimum. However, pricing was very reasonable for a concert. We wouldn't hesitate to see another show here.

Had tickets to see gwar Bogart's in Cincinnati Ohio, but the venue got changed to the Madison theater in Covington Kentucky. Had a little bit of an issue, but Frank at the Madison theater got it taken care of very quickly. Frank is the man! Had a great time and will definitely go back to the Madison theater!

Original tickets for Our Last Night were for Bogarts in Cincinnati, OH but got changed to Madison Theater in Covington, KY for September 25th 2025. This was my first time at this venue so I didn't know what to expect other than it seemed smaller. I liked the way it looked inside, security was on point, & there were a couple bars to be able to order drinks from in the main area before going to the stage "standing room". With this being a smaller venue than originally planned I did feel like the show was jammed packed into a smaller space then it got even worse when Our Last Night came on as the main event. This is also probably one of the hottest venues I have ever seen a concert in. I was sweating a lot all night & I know I wasn't alone cause it got smelly in there. Overall had a great experience here though & if I saw another concert here I would probably spend more for the balcony seating options.

The Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption is a stunning Gothic-style church located in Covington, Kentucky. It is often compared to the Notre Dame in Paris and the Abbey Church of St. Denis. The majestic building features gargoyles, mosaics, a marble altar, and elaborate stained glass windows.
The Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington is truly a hidden gem that rivals some of Europe’s finest churches. The Gothic Revival architecture is breathtaking—from the towering façade to the intricate stained glass windows (including one of the largest in the world). Stepping inside feels like entering a timeless sanctuary; the peaceful atmosphere, vaulted ceilings, and ornate details are awe-inspiring. Whether you're interested in architecture, spirituality, or simply a quiet place to reflect, this cathedral delivers. The staff and volunteers are incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, often sharing insights about the building’s history and hidden details. Don’t miss the impressive pipe organ and the murals that echo the grandeur of classic European cathedrals. Parking is easy, and it’s free to visit (though donations are appreciated). If you're in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, this is absolutely worth a stop. It's not just a place of worship—it’s a work of art and history that leaves a lasting impression.

Wow! Just simply... WOW! My husband and I visit catholic churches throughout our travels in the USA and Europe. The magnificence of this church exceeded our expectation. The Art, the details, stained glass windows, mosaics, wood carving.

This church was absolutely beautiful --stunning. The largest stained glass piece is the largest in the US, we were told. An amazing place to see no matter your denomination.
Terri B — Google review
Pattern after Notre Dame in Paris, this cathedral’s rose window is larger than its counterpart. It is also only a few miles away from another cathedral across the river in Cincinnati. The two buildings couldn’t be more different. While we liked them both, we particularly enjoyed the classical architecture of this edifice. It’s certainly lesser known than its counterpart in Ohio, but that doesn’t make it lovely in its own right. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and even ran into someone we know while here!

An absolutely stunning cathedral in Northern Kentucky right across the river from Cincinnati! The architecture and design of this church is simply breathtaking. The visit here made me feel like I was going back in time to somewhere in Europe. Every nook and cranny holds a special meticulous detail that you should definitely stop in and see. Take your time for a tour, or catch a mass. This is one beautiful cathedral that is worth your time for it's beauty!

Nestled in Covington, Kentucky, Goebel Park is a delightful destination that combines charm and history. Named after the state's only assassinated governor, William Goebel, this park features a stunning German-style clock tower that has become its centerpiece since its construction in 1979. Visitors can enjoy an enchanting hourly puppet show of the Pied Piper of Hamlin from April to December while relaxing on the promenade with treats from a nearby candy shop.
Went for the Covington taco and Margarita fest and once before after getting ice cream at Pipers nearby. I really enjoyed all the seating, the make up of the park and the location of it. The fest was very pleasant as well. Will return to the park again and again.

I used to love this park and have had many birthday parties here for my kids, but for some reason they took ALL the tables from the park. Not a fan anymore and won’t be celebrating here anymore. Shame cause it’s a stunning park.

This is a nice park but was disappointed when the clock didn't chime at the designated time. 5:35 pm. We even waited until 6 to see if it chimed on the hour, but no. Then came back just before 7:35 pm and still no chime at that time either. 🙁

Went to the taco festival at Goebel Park. Found a great free parking spot on the street but there were paid parking lots also available. Lots of shade and tables and chairs set up under the big trees made this experience so much better. Plenty of seating. Too many festivals have only one tent with tables and chairs and everyone is crammed in to eat their food. Two thumbs up to the event planners of Goebel Park! Nice playground for the kids and restrooms. Will definitely go back for another Festival at this park.

Lovely park. There is a community garden. The park has a play fixture for smaller children and larger one for larger kids. There is also the beautiful large cuckoo. Unfortunately it chimes but the pied piper was not working for our visit. The clock chimes hourly but the pied piper has exact times.

Great place to have a large picnic or get together. They have large slides and some neat obstacles for the larger kids. They also offer a a smaller area for the little ones! You can walk and get a slice of pizza 🍕 "Goodfellas". Or possibly a treat from the ice cream shop across the seat. Easy parking!

Bar & grill
Keystone Bar & Grill in Covington is a casual chain known for its variety of mac and cheese dishes, along with other bar eats and an extensive selection of craft beers and bourbons. The outdoor dining space offers a relaxed atmosphere to savor their eight different mac & cheese options, while the menu also features quesadillas, burgers, sandwiches, and more. Additionally, guests can indulge in the house BBQ sauce-drenched kettle chips.
The Ozzie Mac and Cheese is amazing! Definitely recommend the Spicy Bloody Mary. Pulled Pork sandwich is delicious! The Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie divine! The perfect desert. Loved the old photos and its unique ceiling. Excellent dining experience.

I have to admit, I was not a fan. We were politely greeted and that was a great start. Two of us got the wrong drinks and never got the correct ones until quite some time later. I admit I am not a fan of the Mac and cheese, it tasted like a roux and needed seasoning. The burger I had to me had too much sauce so it was a mess. I did take off the mac and I love that it is a handmade burger and not a frozen patty.
Jennifer K — Google review
Great little place! We went and had dinner very early so there was not much of a crowd and ate outside. We got the Oktoberfest Mac (not on the menu, you have to ask for it, pictured first) and the Fleetwood Mac. Both stellar. Loved the Dijon mustard on the Oktoberfest one and the pesto in the Fleetwood was a great flavor paired with the mozzarella. It was lacking in the tomato category but it wasn’t missed much. We also got the Keystone Queso which was very good. The chips were fantastic and homemade. All in all good place!
Jamie F — Google review
Mac and cheese was a bit runny and I was disappointed in the flavor of brisket pieces in dish call Black Sabbath. Chicken fingers were great and quesadillas were very good! Street seating was very nice.
Mom C — Google review
Just did a carry-out order. Got two orders of chicken tenders, fried pickles, kid's mac and cheese, and an eieio burger. Never been more disappointed in a food order. Burger was severely over cooked and smaller than a fast food burger (spent $13 for this and side of chips) Chicken was dried out to the point that I was unable to bite through one of them (spent $2 per tender) The Mac container was not only not full but also dry and caked together. ($5 for that) The pickles tasted great... After they spent an additional 7 minutes in my air fryer. Before that they were super soggy. ($9 for that) After the tip, spent $55 dollars for food that was worse than most fast food I've had the displeasure of eating. My family has eaten at Keystone for years and it's just been recently that the food has gone down hill. Not only have the portions been steadily shrinking, but the final quality has suffered as well. Based on tonight's experience, we probably won't be returning to this location in a good long while. Food simply isn't worth the standard menu price.
Chris C — Google review
I was only in Cincinnati for the weekend and ate here twice just so I could try a different dish. I highly recommend the Fleetwood Mac and the fried pickles. I would venture to say these were some of the best fried pickles I have had in a long time. The service was great and the food was prepared quickly. The live performer on Thursday night really helped set the mood for the evening. I really enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely stop by again when I’m in town.
Lisa V — Google review
Stopped here for dinner while walking around Covington. The Poutine was really tasty. I ordered the poached pear and pecan salad and really enjoyed it. It was a little busy and there were a couple issues with our orders, but the service was wonderful and the staff was so thoughtful and understanding and went above and beyond to fix the issues. The outdoor seating was perfect for this beautiful breezy day. We will definitely be back!

The Life's a Peach drink was just what I needed. Just so happened to have 1/2 price dillas. It was fantastic, along with the loaded chips and fried pickles! The service was great too. Blake was awesome and made sure our order was just right!

Restaurant
Zapata Cantina is a vibrant and authentic Mexican restaurant located in Covington, KY. The restaurant offers a blend of traditional and modern Mexican cuisine in a bright and colorful corner eatery. Despite opening during the pandemic, it has quickly gained popularity for its well-plated classic Mexican fare made with fresh ingredients. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, offering a modern industrial space for guests to enjoy their meals.
Great place for a modern Mexican meal. We had a combination of dishes from Pollo Monterrey and Flautas to firecracker shrimp and Chicharrones. As we enjoyed our drinks the chef came out with a complimentary hors d’oeuvre that he was looking for our input on…It was great!!! Service and atmosphere are excellent.
Simon R — Google review
Love this Cantina that is just a short walk from Hotel Covington! Our visit was excellent and the service was great. The team working gave some great recommendations for cocktails and margs and they were quick to check on each of their tables to ensure every customer felt welcomed. Highly recommend coming here if you’re a small group - quick seating, quick service, and great food and drink! The ceviche was excellent!
Carl M — Google review
Our waiter was great! Cute restaurant. The menu was very small but the food and drinks were good. The waiter said everything is made in house. Wish the burrito came with beans or something on the side rather than just the burrito. Chips and salsa are not included but you get a good variety with the option for purchase. Went around 6:00pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately.
Megan R — Google review
Got some lunch here that was pretty solid. The food itself was delicious. I got the burrito which was very filling. One of my friends got the shrimp tacos which actually had huge portions on them and looked really good. The atmosphere was fun. Very clean and and good amount of tables. Only downside was the price. Just a little too expensive for what it was in my mind. Not too bad though.
Luke K — Google review
The food as well as the drinks are well-made-it was quite obvious they care was put into the preparation. The space was absolutely beautiful; it was inviting and very clean. The cleanliness was comparable to a restaurant that was opened within the past month. Our bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit. Delicious!

My visit was ok . Limited parking the Tacos were good I got Al pastor and shrimp tacos great flavor not a fan of the nuts though. The meal was pricey my margarita was $11 ! 4 tacos were $20 . I’m used to paying $12-$15 for four tacos. i just feel their are cheaper places for tacos that are more authentic and better quality. Loved the seating and overall set up disappointed in the sauces with the tacos no spicy flavor and didn’t taste homemade. My server was rough I had to wait maybe 10 mins for my receipt my margarita took 10 mins to make and I asked for a lime just for flavor never got it and he mentioned it twice lol but I understand these things happen. It wasn’t that busy I just think maybe between the bar and serving it was a lot. Overall not a place I recommend but I’m glad I made it out to this place. even though they close at nine I came here at 8:30 once in the kitchen was already closed so plan accordingly.
Danasha S — Google review
From the time you walk in, you immediately feel welcomed by the attentive staff. The menu is fantastic and authentic. The specials are amazing, from octopus to ribeye, Chef Robert works his magic and the flavor pallete is mouthwatering. Happy eating!!!

What a refreshing take on tacos on Madison. Finally a 'fancy taco' restaurant with a manageable menu, dedicated staff and reasonable prices. More menu items than tacos too, as seen in the photos. We will all return. Also, fantastic tequila selection. Very comfortable space, clean, attentive staff.

Steak house
Eighteen at the Radisson is a romantic restaurant located on the 18th floor of the Radisson hotel, offering stunning 360-degree views of Cincinnati's skyline and riverfront. Known as Cincinnati's only revolving steakhouse, it provides an upscale dining experience with a menu featuring filet mignon, shrimp and lobster linguine, Atlantic salmon, and an extensive selection of fine wines and cocktails.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful. The only problem was having to wait 20-30 minutes even though there was a reservation. What was told is that the reservation just kept you on the waitlist for the outside seating, which are seats near the windows. It would be nice if that was stated when making reservations. Now for the lows which is the hotel part and not the restaurant. There was only 1 working guest elevator, and the other working elevator was the service elevator which you had to go in the staff area and when you exit the elevator in the restaurant you were coming out near the kitchen. Radisson, you really need to update this hotel.

Went for a dinner reservation to celebrate a birthday. Staff were attentive and place is upscale. I have been here before and the food was not on par this last visit. Still good, just not as excellent as usual. The view of course is wonderful and the atmosphere great. We were a table of 6 and had a wonderful and expensive evening.

Drove from Columbus to visit this place for the first time and all I can say is, it was worth it. Our server Briana if I'm not mistaking her name was sweet. She even brought my drink to the area I was taking my pictures to accessorize my pictures haha She's such a girl's girl. The views were awesome, the building moves periodically giving you a 360 view of the city. I can't wait to be back again.

I was staying in the hotel, randomly. But I was excited because I've been wanting to check this place out for so long! I had no idea it was so cool! Caught an amazing sunset and enjoyed a couple Manhattans and a caramel crunch cake. They make Manhattans the old school way. Just how I like em. And the caramel crunch cake was amazing! Can't wait to come back!

You come here for the view! Had Sunday brunch and it was pretty bad. Worst piece of fried chicken I ever had...bland, cold and dried out. Salisbury steak also bad as was the potato salad and most of the sides. Prime Rib was OK....Guy was carving it. Suggest you order the omelets, crepes and waffles as they are freshly made. Lastly $45 each kind of high for the quality you receive.
Scot L — Google review
Pretty cool place to get dinner with the rotating floor. Takes about an hour or so to do one complete revolution with views of Cincy and Covington. Landmarks are pointed out with brass plaques on the window frames and staff was prompt. Food was ok, ordered a ribeye and it was very fatty and chewy, and the brussel sprouts were undercooked. Ended up with food poisoning after. May have been my drink as well because it tasted very funny for a Makers and coke. Made me very sick. Maybe a bad drink or food not sure but still fun experience at the restaurant not after.
Bill S — Google review
We have come here for our last two anniversaries. The view is of course the big attraction and is wonderful, however both the food and the service are also top notch. The only con is that a year apart, both times we came to the hostess stand, the young lady behind the stand appeared annoyed to help us, had a sour expression, and barely spoke. Really made us feel unwelcome. Two separate women, a year apart, the same experience. Not a good way to start a romantic dinner.
Chadwick D — Google review
Only good for the view. The food options are no better than smoky bones and the plating of the food couldn't be worse specially for a place like this and their prices. The tables don't even have table mats. NOT a posh place.

Always great food, great service and short wait times. I've been here several times over the last 15 years and it's always been a good experience. Staff is always friendly and quick, kitchen has always been great with turn out on food orders and getting things just right. Recommend the pretzels and beer cheese and the fish and chips. Can never go wrong with that. Will return

Didn’t try the Bloody Mary bar but it looked amazing- choose your own spice level! Delicious fried pretzels and beer cheese. The on tap beer selection was pretty substantial, with tons of local options.

Nice draft beer selection. Braxton pale ale was delicious. Blueberry lemonade cocktail was good, too. Very friendly staff. Our server Morgan did great! Live music this Friday night was good.

We had a very friendly server. My friend from England says their fish and chips are the most like back home. I got a tasty bowl of French Onion Soup. It’s a good place to meet up with friends and have a few laughs. The neighborhood has some cute shops. I especially like the little toy store around the corner.

Such a wonderful little area to visit. Food was delicious, beer selection plentiful but I forgot to take a picture of the fish and chips. Can't wait to go back!!

I was famished after a 3 hour tattoo session. I've visited Cock & Bull Public House before, so I knew exactly where to go for fish & chips. My waitress promptly took care of my drink and food order. The food came out quickly and it was fresh and hot. The restaurant was clean and the service was wonderful!

The worst fish fry I’ve had in years. Super burnt and tough. Broccoli side was dripping wet. Artichoke dip needed a ton of salt. Horrible food, service was mediocre and the bartender put in the minimalist of effort. The place is super loud too and you can barely talk.

For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Contemporary Arts Center. The Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati is a dynamic museum showcasing ever-changing exhibits and a performance space. It actively engages with today's political, social, and economic conversations through its eclectic displays. Visitors can explore the multi-sensory sanctuary of Brazilian artist Sandra Cinto's Contemplation Room, experience guided meditations at the Library of Love, and engage with Britni Bicknaver's politicized Audio Tour. The UnMuseum provides an interactive art experience for children.
Fun museum! The building itself is art with its industrial look. Funky stairs, wall angles, etc. The top floor has an entire set-up to make your own art. They have a small cafe and gift shop.

Very cool building and location in the heart of downtown. Huge space for exhibits. Unfortunately, one level was closed during my visit, so I made it through the museum quickly. Great top floor for kids with a creative space.
Daniel R — Google review
This is a must see! You seriously have to check this exhibit out. My only issue was that it was a little confusing navigating through the different exhibits. It was hard knowing which was the correct way of starting and navigating through everything. Some prices weren't labelled in the gift shop. And the discount code for weekday admissions wouldn't work. Other than that, everything was great!

Great architecture designed by Zaha Hadid. The museum features many art works from native Ohio artists. The art studio and kids space on the top floor is filled with activities.

When I arrived here, I bought a ticket and after buying the ticket, they let me know. The only two floors were open, the kids making place floor and the visiting artist so it only took me 30 minutes to go through the whole Gallery that I paid full price.

This Museum is not free entrance . Also you need to pay parking. We have so much fun in the creations center in the top floor. My daughter and I have a creative experience making some craft there . We love all the recycle material that inspires us to make stuff. Also all the exhibits are interesting and fun. Some artists included music or videos. We took photos without flash . We are in love with this gem Museum . The modern arquitect was Sara Hadid and was inspired by the Urban look incorporating the outside to inside. Also have a little shop inside.

The security guards on the 4th floor need to relax. There was candy sitting out in a basket because Halloween was the night before. My pregnant friend saw it and popped a piece of candy and moved on. Few seconds later a man approached her and said "did you take that candy?" She said yes and he the proceeds to say it's for kids and she can't eat or drink on the floor. How about don't have it out then? It was clearly sitting out to see. Same man then proceeds to tell me to "watch where I'm going" as I moved along the floor, as there is artwork on the floor. I wasn't going to step on it, I was walking around it. Being scolded like a child when I didn't do anything is bizarre. It made for a terrible experience.

From taxidermy specimens to mounted bugs, wet specimens, and even Ouija boards, there's no shortage of fascinating finds here.
This place has a good selection of records, and a fantastic assortment of taxidermy, specimen, oddities, jewelry, tarot/spritual supplies, and much more. Overall a very well rounded oddities shop that probably has something to pique your interest! Worth stopping in and exploring. I ended up leaving with a King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard record, though all their pinned insects were really tempting.

Super-fun shop of horrors & oddities. Taxidermy, preservations, cult & occult books, apparel, jewelry, music & more available. If you've got someone in your life that is eclectic and hard to shop for, this is a place to consider browsing. It's a small shop with breakables; it's probably not a great idea to bring strollers or curious little ones in. The gentleman working in the store was very chill, and was obviously friendly with his neighbors as well as customers. He has great taste in music! It might also be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair. PS: if anyone wants to gift me a certain coyote with a witch's hat, dm me.

Crossed the river to try out Lisse and it did not disappoint! We definitely recommend. We were both so stuffed we had to skip dessert (which you know never happens). The wedge had a zesty, fresh dressing that was divine. We ordered steaks with garlic and herb butter with their signature Brussels sprouts and Gouda mac & cheese for sides. Excellent service in a beautiful space right off the park. Five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What I really liked was how many options there were for seating, inside outside but also different rooms and city or scenic sides for rooftop. My husband and I finally chose the scenic rooftop side for dinner since there was an event city side and a bit noisy but I know some love that too. The food was excellent and our waitress was more than accommodating.. Enjoyed the cocktails and steak, loving that there were so many gluten free options. Hutspot was really good! Will be back again.

Took the wife here for her birthday, overall we enjoyed it, steak was great, but the sides we got were starting to get cold (think we noticed this mentioned in other reviews too) but they still tasted ok, since it was my wife's birthday they even gave her a free dessert which was greatly appreciated, service was great, we did make a reservation so we didn't have any issues getting a table

True Score- 4.56/5 Stars This experience was honestly incredible. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and the facilities were great. Interestingly, this is apace where you can either spend a lot of money, or even stay under 100 and have a fantastic meal. We started the evening with the Bitterballen, and honestly, the dish was extremely disappointing. The balls were very small, and for 10 dollars, you only get 5 of them They tasted great enough, but I would strongly advise against ordering them unless they up the quantity. With that, we also each had a Kentucky Sunset, which was a great cocktail. We each ordered the ribeye, and it was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I have ever had. We ordered two sides, the hotsput and the Dutch Mac and Cheese. Both were so good, and also served in sharable portions. The hotsput was nothing like anything I have ever had (in a good way) and the Mac and cheese was very creamy but not liquid-y. We finished the night with an order of the boterkoek, which was sweet and delicious. Service was extraordinary. Our server was so personable, easy going, and timely. I believe service can make or break an experience, and frankly every restaurant should aspire to be like Lisse in this regard. I believe John F(?) was our server, and he was great! Cost was great. Many dishes are pretty cheap, however you can also go pretty big here. For everything we got, it was roughly 250 dollars, but you could easily come here and spend under 100 for two people. Very versatile financially which I think is AWESOME! The restaurant had beautiful design inside and out. It felt very clean, modern, and upscale. Pretty casual dress code, and overall a comfortable place. My favorite part was the stained glass on the first floor! I believe there is rooftop seating, but I did not get to go up there. Overall, one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The appetizer was the only flaw on this beautiful restaurant. I would love love love to come back, and I will be suggesting it to anybody that I know. NOTE: Star rating based on my own formula consisting of flavor, cost, facilities, service, and overall satisfaction. Reviews are subject to change based on future visits.

New Riff is doing it right. To find a good bourbon it takes a good mash bill . To make a great bourbon flavor must accompany story. It is a great albeit short history but it does have some history with it . The staff was great along with our tour guide Dan. You are where I would love to be in a couple years. This Magnificent Bastard was pleased. Thank you all and may you have continued success. MB Joey

My first “bourbon tour” and not even in Bardstown, Kentucky, considering we live in Louisville so Bardstown is closer to us and there are tons of distilleries in Louisville. Part of the reason we chose this tour is that they make an amazing gin here which is unusual for bourbon makers. One of the best gins I’ve ever had. The surprise of the trip was the single mob whiskey, which impressed my husband, the experienced , bourbon, drinker, and me, the novice bourbon drinker. The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable and tons of fun. Lots of really interesting information and historical tidbits. There were only four patients on this tour, so we really felt like we had a VIP experience. Nice gift shop with all kinds of bourbon themed treats.

Let me start off by saying I am not a big bourbon person. Every good bar does need to have a stock of good liquor. I met Dan right as I entered the door. I explained my situation and he drafted a plan for me. He had me go to the 3rd floor and try a sampling. Before leaving, I looked over downstairs and it was a great setup. Outside their flagship Bourbon whiskey and Rye, they have Gin too. I was there for the Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey, so I stuck to that. I went to the third floor to what I would classify as the Executive Boardroom. The bar in front was immaculate and the barkeep was extremely helpful. Even though I was outside my element, I went with a testing of 3 of their bourbons. My 3 choices were their Flagship Bourbon Whiskey, Straight Rye Whiskey and the 8 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Out of the 3, to my uneducated taste buds was the 8 Year Old Bourbon. That was the smoothest that I had. I will now have a bottle of that on the top shelf of my home bar. Check out the store as there is a lot of awesome stuff to take home. I got a magnet (and some Bourbon of course), but I wanted so much more . . . like the ice cream 🍦 Make sure to take something home with you to share with family and friends as they have miniature bottles for gifting. I should have gotten a hat, but I had gotten one earlier and didn’t want to explain to the wife why I got another hat 🤣 Highly recommend this for any fan of Bourbon as a family member also loved the Bourbon here. I got her a mini-bottle and she immediately opened it in a tumbler with ice.

New riff bourbon is amazing all there products are top of the line and if you haven't tried their Silver Grove bourbons you need to go to the distillery and get it. Didn't have time for the tour this time but definitely going back.

This visit was unexpected and very nice! From the front entry which was decorated for fall into the gift shop that had yummy candles and other bourbon themed gifts, up to the third floor bar for fabulous snacks and drinks. We had the snack board and pretzel both of which were fantastic. The staff brought out extra crackers for us too. I don't really like bourbon but loved my drink which was the Cherry Garcia. My partner got the bourbon flight which he enjoyed. Definitely would return and recommend.

This place was great! We came down for their riverboat cruise and stopped there to check out the distillery. The people there were very friendly, and the bar was great! Definitely give this place a visit! Special shoutout to Dan and Val!

Lived in the area awhile and been here quite a few times to buy bourbon a d have a drink, but this time we did the tour and it was great! Lots of tastes of bourbons on this tour. And great info about the history of the distillery, as well as Kentucky bourbon. The tour guide was so friendly and inviting! The bar upstairs is my favorite. Always friendly and yummy.

I always love to discover new gems around. We had dinner, we had the sampler, margaritas and chicken bowl. Everything was delicious!!! Our server was welcoming and friendly. The cool plus in this place is the unique decoration and design, it is really cool, I love it!!!
David O — Google review
I stopped in looking for some good Mexican food but found more of an eclectic twist on traditional fare. I had the empanadas and decided to stop there. They were ok but nothing to write home about. I found $6 each for a taco a la carte to be a bit more than I wanted to spend on one. The margarita was not very good either. The only thing extensive on the menu, was the prices. I’ll not be visiting this one again.

We came for early dinner om Friday night. No reservations required. But if you have more than 3-4 persons, it's better to have reservations. The food is overall okay. Not that tasty in my opinion. I don't think i will come back. Tried it once and it's enough. Our server was too busy with other tables. The music was too loud and didn't go with the restaurant theme.
Boe D — Google review
Visiting the area for a show and stopped here before for dinner. Our waitress was excellent, the food & drinks delicious, and the space was very clean and pretty. Bring on a time constraint our food was fast and great deals with being there during happy hour. Great place to eat. Recommend the prickly pear margarita and the chicken taco.
Carrie K — Google review
Fridas might have the best chips and queso in Cincinnati. The al pastor taco was packed with flavor and had the perfect amount of spice. I would absolutely recommend trying one. The margaritas were also well balanced. We really enjoyed the food and would try it again.

Been a few times now and the food has been very consistent, and good. The meat is good quality, and everything tastes fresh. Don’t miss the peanut salsa!

Went on a busy Saturday night, had reservations and were seated immediately. Food was flavorful and authentic, the empanadas and tres leches were my favorites! I can't wait to return!

Came in during happy hour and had the best time. Our server was kind, attentive and we got all of our times quickly! The spicy marg was delicious. I am always coming back for the brussel sprout tacos. You can’t go wrong with any of their salsas and this time we got them all. A fav of mine

Fine dining restaurant
Boca is a high-end restaurant known for its stylish decor, full bar, and menu featuring steak, seafood, and pasta dishes. The location is ideal for theater-goers. Chef David Falk has been with the Boca Restaurant Group for 12 years, where he developed his palate and passion for old-world cuisine. The restaurant offers an Italian/French dining experience with a seasonal menu that includes satisfying pasta dishes, well-prepared fish and meaty proteins.
We finally had our dinner at Boca and it was beyond anything we could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth and intention. The maître d’, Nicole, was absolutely incredible! She curated our entire experience from start to finish. She gave us the best table in the house, arranged a custom menu with out-of-this-world wine pairings, and ensured every course was flawlessly executed. Every single team member we encountered made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. We were congratulated on our 25th anniversary throughout the evening, offered a behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchen, and gifted a beautifully framed and signed menu personalized just for us. Nicole and the entire Boca team turned what was already a special occasion into a memory we’ll never forget. This wasn’t just dinner... it was hospitality at its highest level. If I could give 6 stars, I would.
Chris G — Google review
We were in Cincinnati for our anniversary and needed a nice place to dine. We have previously had poor luck finding a location with great food and great service. Reddit suggested Boca and we gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere, food, and service. Small plates with excellent flavor. Desert was great too. Highly recommended.
Garrett C — Google review
One of the best dinners I have had in a while. I've tried multiple new foods the other night, including caviar and scallops. The staff made the entire experience amazing. They explained the menu in-depth and the flavours with each dish. We ended the amazing dinner with beef Wellington and a lemon cake thing that was SUPER GOOD! The scallop and brussel sprouts are featured in the image. The ingredients were extremely fresh, and the scallop tasted like a steak.

Cincinnati has a sneaky good food scene. Boca has to be within the top echelon. Designed as a small plate restaurant you have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of flavors. "GG" our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and delivered an exquisite experience.
Michael C — Google review
This is the restaurant you can always count on to have amazing service and food. We celebrated our birthdays with friends and had a delicious dinner. The audience is beautiful and food outstanding. Make sure of course to have the Pommes soufflés, they are everything they are cracked up too. This evening we tried something new to us the romanesco, it was lightly charred with an incredible sauce and bed of grains. We also had the corn elote which is the taste of summer in a plate, then shared the beef Wellington. Topping the evening off with their not only tongue in cheek catchy names but presentations of desserts.

I rarely rate any place 5 out of 5. But it's really surprised me. First they serve French Mediterranean. Which really surprised me cuz I didn't know what to expect. I sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly. She made really good cocktails. She put me on something called paper plane which was really good and told me this whole story about the liquor and how it's a dessert drink in Italy. Food wise I got her recommendations. They are known for their brussel sprouts, which I wasn't the biggest fan of I thought they were just okay. Chicken was the best dish. Great recommendation definitely recommended. I love the whole vibe and the way the restaurant is set up. Huge beautiful chandelier in the middle.

Service and atmosphere was top notch. Pasta was under cooked (well below Al Dente). Heavily overpriced. Great place to wine and dine to impress. Definitely better food spots around, but if you’re chasing ambiance and trying to impress someone; this is your place

Boca is great, fine dining! I've been there a couple of times now, and twice did their chef curated menus. I've always thoroughly enjoyed all their food! The service is great and professional. It's always a lot of fun to try the new things that Chef David is creating as well as the various wines that are paired with the meals. Would highly recommend for a nice night out!

A gorgeous, tucked away wine bar with a great ambiance! There were lots of friendly faces, a great selection of bottles for sale, and a great menu, with a selection of wines, beers, and cocktails, as well as various accoutrements. If I lived closer, I would for sure become a regular here. I really enjoyed the Giggle Water. Drinks were affordable. This place has serious character; don't overlook it!

A very fun wine store, plenty of selection for wine and cocktails! The Giggle water and Perfect Pear cocktails were fantastic! The atmosphere was nice and warm, perfect for hanging out with friends to catchup. Full of regulars making banter to one another while getting drinks who are super friendly and inclusive.

This place was great. Very friendly staff. Listened to what kind of wine we liked and picked us out the best bottle for the night.

Bartenders are super friendly and welcoming! Even the other customers are gregarious. I indecisive whether to get beer or wine so Luna guided me through that. They have flights for beer and wine. I selected the grand lemon pale ale and truck stop charcuterie- they ran out of beef jerky so they allowed me to substitute with prosciutto. Great chill vibe and not overly priced, $9-$11 for a flight

Late afternoon and I dropped in for a glass of a rather nice white wine. They have tables out front on Main Street, and a little covered patio in the back with four tables. Music playing was a good mix of mellow club-ish stuff. I talked with the owners and they opened up five years ago. A very friendly couple.

From classic options like honey vanilla and brownie fudge to adventurous choices such as lemon poppy seed cardamom and charcoal black sesame, Hello Honey has something for every palate. But that's not all!
The banana honeycomb ice cream is so unique and delicious! You can tell it’s made with real caramelized bananas. We also got the cookies & biscoff flavor. The staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this ice cream shop if you’re craving a sweet treat!

We found this place on the Happy Cow app as a backup to the first place we tried that was inconveniently out of their unit 2 vegan ice cream options. We were hopeful that this one would pan out. But, alas, it was a disappointment. Especially compared to the place we went to in Chicago on this trip. They only had 2 vegan flavor options, but only the Strawberry was also gluten free. The other vegan, non gluten free option, was cookies and cream. Since Strawberry was the only option, I got that with sprinkles, as it was the only vegan option that was also gluten free. It was okay, but it was sorbet and not ice cream, which is not what I wanted. One of my kids got the same thing and had the same mediocre response. My other kid got a dairy option, the Salted Carmel Cone. She was also hopeful, but said she was not happy with the flavor at all and ended up throwing more than half of it away. She said it tasted more like badly burnt vanilla and that was it. I really wish I could write a better review for this place, because any time I see vegan options offered I'm excited. This time it just didn't pan out in our favor though.
Shanah B — Google review
Wonderful flavor options! However, the ice cream is super high fat and will coat your mouth and lips with fat. Portion sizes are generous, but after a while its hard to enjoy due to the mouth feel The cakes have the same type of heavy cream filling that's high in fat
Madison H — Google review
This place has a pretty solid, unique ice cream menu.. defintely not flavors you see everywhere. They have a couple vegan flavors too, and a case with cakes. I went with the brown butter caramel ice cream on my one visit. The texture was nice and smooth, but the flavor was very mild. I didn't taste much brown butter, but the caramel swirls added some nice crunch to it. Overall, it was kind of plain. Maybe the ceiling for this place is higher, and I should have gone for something else, but this first visit was a little underwhelming.
Kessashun A — Google review
Let’s start off by saying how adorable the shop is and what a cool vibe! Secondly, the customer service was fantastic with the kids, telling me about each flavor and having their own suggestions… Lastly, and most important, the flavor was unreal! So many great optionsand all of this without preservatives or food die! I have found my new go to anytime I have a sweet tooth! I had raspberry and biscuits jam 😋😋😋😋
Suzanne N — Google review
Update: Still the best with even more ice cream flavors (almost 20), a handful of vegan options as well, plus a lot more cakes (over a dozen). ----- Initial Review ----- My favorite ice cream shop since they first opened in 2012. They also serve excellent cakes. Everything is made in-house. They all come in several delicious flavor combinations, many unique to their three Cincy area locations. The staff is really friendly including the owners who work there.
Nealy W — Google review
Unique ice cream flavors. A very clean and spacious establishment. There was a bit of a wait to get our point of white lotus macadamia ice cream. They also sell unique log cakes by the slice we bought the taro and coconut cream flavors. They do not have a restroom. Very polite and courteous staff. They let you try as many flavors as you like.i read other reviews about the banana honeycomb ice cream and it was delicious too. A tad too sweet for me

We could smell the fresh waffle cones outside before we even entered. The ice cream was so yummy and the cones were the freshest I have ever had. Cake also did not disappoint. Boston cream was my favorite!

Nature & Parks
Pioneer Park is a serene outdoor destination located a bit away from the city center. Situated near a body of water, this 43-acre park offers paved walking trails, lush grounds, and the picturesque Banklick Creek running along its western borders. Families can enjoy picnics, free activities for kids like inflatables and face painting, as well as presentations by local groups. The park also features playgrounds for children and fields for sports activities.
Such a beautiful place to walk or take your children to play. There are 2 or 3 play areas. With slides & play areas. They also have restrooms, grills & a couple shelter areas, a tennis court, basketball court & baseball/soccor fields. You can fish along the creek, which goes from one end all the way down to the other side of the park. There's 3 different trails you can walk. We walk our dog here. Just remember to Always keep your dog on a leash bc even if your dog is friendly, it may run up to a dog who isn't friendly & then there's a problem. Some people & children may be afraid of dogs as well. You are protecting your dog, people & other dogs.

It’s a pretty nice park. Plenty of trails for walking, a playground for small children, picnic areas, and fields for soccer and flag football. I really think the restrooms need to be officially opened closer to the beginning of April since there are families with small children playing sports. I had to take my 3 year old to pee by the creek because we were locked out of the potty.

Nestled in the southern part of Covington, Doe Run Lake is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Spanning over 50 acres and surrounded by nearly 200 acres of lush wooded parkland, this scenic spot is fed by Bullock Pen Creek and Doe Run Creek. Nature enthusiasts can explore the picturesque Bluebird Trail and Doe Run Nature Trail, which wind through serene landscapes dotted with remote picnic areas.
Upon arriving here for the 1st time on Saturday, Oct. 5th, 2024 even though I live only 7 miles away, I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the lake with a very accessible boat ramp & signs for trails to walk. I felt peaceful with nature all around me. I will surely visit again to walk one of the many trails here.

A beautiful hidden gem in Northern Kentucky! We had a wonderful time kayaking and enjoying the scenery. Definitely a place to check out for fishing, kayaking or just needing some peace and quiet.
Jennifer D — Google review
This was a great find in the Northern Kentucky area. We were able to complete this 3 mile hike with two medium sized dogs and a 4 year old! Trails are easy to navigate in most areas, with some especially difficult terrain. Also be prepared to cross one stony creek. Overall very well maintained, can’t wait to go back. Fishing, kayaking, hiking, soccer, and a bathroom.
Dr. W — Google review
Beautiful place to fish and kayak. They also have hiking trails to explore.
Rob H — Google review
My daughters and I love breaking up our week by getting outside for a hike. This trail was scenic and easy to navigate. There are multiple bridges that make for a great spot to take a cool picture. We didn’t fish or venture out onto the lake. Thus, we can’t provide any additional information on canoeing or fishing. For parents: It is worth mentioning that the restroom is very basic with one vintage toilet and there is not a playground.
Chris S — Google review
I am hesitant to review this place. I love this place! So don't go rushing down here. Lol It was not overrun by people. A very serene, well hidden treasure. I took Rebel and Roo to explore with me. The lake has several species of ducks. The all black ducks are stunning. They create silhouette reflections on the rippling lake as the sun sets behind them. People are fishing. The pristine trails through the woods with bridges to cross and wooden stairs to climb. There are 2 trails with different levels of difficulties. Neither are hard to navigate. One leads to the dam. Stunning natural stone wall surrounds the massive, manicured green sports area. Sounds of cascading water, rustling brush, and birds just seem to melt the days stress away. No swimming but you can launch a boat, trolling motors only. Plenty of parking, restrooms are just for taking care of business, no frills. And....the cost was reasonable.....FREE. Please when visiting: Leave nothing but your footsteps behind. Rebel enjoyed this park. He jumped right in the lake. As we exited a rainbow appeared.
Lady R — Google review
It's finally starting to be a clean lake, and the soccer fields are in really good shape
Jamie R — Google review
TURTLES HAVE COMPLETELY DESTROYED THE FISHING HERE!!! The lake is very nice and seems to be kept very well. But you literally can't have bait sitting at the bottom or even on a bobber for more than 15 minutes without hooking and reeling in a turtle. Then it's a pain to get the hook out of a turtle's mouth. Not only that they are destroying all the other fish. They need to be caught and released somewhere else. Just sit by the lake and watch all the bubbles it's insane and has ruined bank fishing, besides 4 inch bass and bluegill that are able to stay shallow enough.

Specialty Museums
The Railway Museum of Greater Cincinnati, nestled just across the Ohio River in Covington, KY, is a treasure trove for train enthusiasts and history buffs alike. This volunteer-operated museum showcases an impressive array of historic locomotives and railroad artifacts, including charming sleeping and observation cars. While much of the collection is outdoors—adding to its rustic charm—the museum offers visitors a unique glimpse into the past with several train cars open for exploration.
We visited on their last open day for this season. The volunteers were knowledgeable and friendly. We got to switch a track and check out a couple locomotives, caboose, Pullman sleeper car, and a troop sleeper. My 3 and 5 year old enjoyed seeing all the cars!
Victoria B — Google review
A Hidden Gem for History and Photography Lovers The Cincinnati Railway Museum is a time capsule of America’s industrial past. While many of the trains are beautifully rusted and worn, that’s exactly what makes this place so compelling. You won’t find polished tourist gloss here—just authentic, weathered locomotives and railcars with textures that tell stories. I was especially drawn to the intricate peeling paint, old mechanical couplings, and elegant but decaying passenger car balconies. It’s a paradise for photographers who love patina, mood, and forgotten beauty. Every corner feels like a quiet reminder of journeys long past. The museum isn’t overly commercialized, and that’s part of its charm. It’s quiet, a bit raw, and wonderfully atmospheric. Highly recommended for train buffs, urban explorers, and anyone who appreciates the art of decay.

It was a really neat place to visit. The volunteers were very knowledgeable. My kids loved the part where they could play and ring the bell. Definitely a great place to visit. It's also a fantastic place to take photos. I took some of my daughter's senior pictures here. They turned out great.

This place is 100% a hidden treasure in the area. It is all run by volunteers which is the reason for the limited hours but WHAT AN EXPERIENCE THIS WAS!!!! The volunteers were so knowledgeable about each car and railroad history. My son enjoyed it so much and I loved sitting in a little piece of history in the Pullman sleeper car! Great place

Nestled in the heart of the Midwest, the Garden of Hope is a serene religious sanctuary that beautifully blends history and spirituality. This enchanting site features replicas of Jesus' tomb, a charming 15th-century Mexican Mission Chapel, and an authentic Middle Eastern Carpenter Site. Many visitors find solace here, as it serves as a cherished retreat for reflection and prayer.
A beautiful replica of the tomb and other interesting things from Jerusalem! We visited the Garden of Hope for the first time on Easter Sunday and plan to come back every year. Please be careful of the pathways, some of the stones aren't secure. We had a great family outing. I was impressed with the attention to detail, the design, and the care that went into creating it. It would be wonderful if the garden, information signs, pathways, and buildings could be restored and maintained to the original state, but it seems like there isn't funding for it.

Not sure if its off season but everything was blocked off, paths were worn out and broken, and beer cans were everywhere. We still enjoyed our time there and took pictures. It was nice to see this.

Really neat place. Thought I was in the wrong area but soon found out I wasn’t. The tomb is interesting to see. To go inside any of the structures you will have to make an appointment but can easily see the inside of the tomb. The best is the view of Cincinnati. One of the best views of the city. Only reason it lost a star is some of the pathways aren’t kept up the best and it could be easily for a child to get hurt if not careful

This is a must see place. Make sure you call before hand to set up a tour because I forgot to and the chapel, the tomb, and the carpenters shop was locked so we couldn't get in. I've been here before though, so you'll want to get inside.

So beautiful. Well kept. Good place to picnic. Great view.

I had my wedding here, The pastor here was very nice and accommodating. It was only 350.00 to have our wedding here. The Scenery was perfect and the fact that it is holy ground is wonderful. They also have a church service on Sunday in the stone building. I would definitely recommend anyone to see this place, it is truly magical.

A beautiful hidden gem of the recreation on Jesus Christ tomb. Maintenance has been lacking. Taking away from the overall experience.

Hamburger restaurant
Bard's Burgers & Chili is a popular fast-food spot located south of the Ohio River in Covington. It has gained recognition for its massive and delicious 1/3 pound chuck beef burgers, which come in various versions to cater to different preferences. The Deluxe Burger and Mushroom Love Burger are highly recommended options, served with tasty hand-cut fries that are crispy and flavorful. Additionally, their Cincinnati-style chili made with lean beef is a hit among customers.
Certified Burger connoisseur. Bards is solidly in the Top 5 Best burgers in Cincy. Solid. Tasty. Cheesy. Juicy. The burger checks every box. Don’t sleep on the fries. Not a fast food style fry. Home made style. Cheese Curds are legit. Whole menu slaps. If you like burger then this is your spot.

THIS IS A GOOD BURGER! Okay really though you just can't go wrong. No frills, hole in the wall, damn delicious. I got: All the Way Burger Fried cheese curds Poutine (gravy a bit salty if you're watching that) Seriously, this place is just delicious, I wish I had more room to eat because I couldn't believe how fantastic it was. Anything you order you will be great. The cheese curds are seriously the best I've ever had. Thank you for the great experience, support local

A bit of a step back in time. We ordered a draft Narragansett Beer which is a little different for this part of the country. Their Greek salad was chocked full of cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, onions, pepperocini, feta, and mixed lettuce. It was fresh and tasty. I got a 4 way bean chili. Hubby got a burger with barbecue. We both liked what we got. Cheese curds were as good as any we have had in Wisconsin.

Friendly & efficient service. The food was delicious, served quickly. I still have to try the fried Oreos & a few other items on the menu, this being my first time visit. I'm definitely going back. Cheers!

Our server Jess was great if that was really her name 😉 LOL, friendly funny with a smile, she gave us the daily specials rundown, got our drink order so we could look over the menu. After bringing our drinks we were ready to order to which one of our party asked if meat comes with the hamburger which she took that comment and ran with it and he wouldn't live that down the reat of the meal along with the red mustard ROFL! She made our night out a dinner with a show. Our food came out fresh and hot, I had planned to eat half then and finish the other half later but is was so good I ate it all and was too full for dessert but got the doughnut pudding to go to have later, it smells delicious. Great experience & great food.

The food is great, especially the burgers and fries. The staff and service are fantastic as well. The facility could be a little cleaner, but it wasn't anything that would prevent us from going back. This place is a local gem.

Best burger I have had in a long time. You can tell it is fresh and prepared with care. Service and food were great. Chef Jay is the best!!

We eat out at least once per week and Bard's is Our new favorite restaurant. We've eaten there about 6 times, recently. It has the look of a dive restaurant, very casual, we love that. What we really love is the food. People rave about burgers from other restaurants, so I try them and I'm usually not at all impressed, Bard's is different though. Every burger we've tried has been outstanding, never had better and they have a lot from which to choose. Last time, I got the Mushlove and it was great. We also got side salads for apps and were blown away by how good they were. The salads were fresh made to order. They had rye croutons on them, I'm guessing they were from the bakery next door, oh so good. Their specials are great too. I tried the smoked wings and they were great, gumbo was good too. Chili is better than Skyline. I could go on, but you get the picture. Parking is across the street in a public lot where we've always found a space.

German restaurant
Wunderbar is a hidden gem in Covington, offering authentic German-inspired cuisine with a focus on housemade sausages and craft beers. The menu features unique dishes like the popular currywurst, and the rotating sausage selection is a must-try. The restaurant provides an inviting atmosphere with quick service and even has a back patio for warmer months. Additionally, guests can enjoy live music and karaoke on weekends.
Super funky, hole-in-the-wall/dive bar feel, dark ambiance with wooden tables down one side bar on the other. This is a walk up order bar and then sit where you’d like. Friendly service, the sausages and pretzels are house made so a must try for anyone. House made pretzel: as big as your head with an outside crunch and inside fluffy carb heaven. Perfect for dipping in the beer cheese or mustard! Definitely a must try. Beer cheese: subtle beer flavor without being too much. Not as salty as most chain restaurants beer cheese with is a plus because with the house made pretzels it’s a perfect combination. Bierbrat, Garlic Pepper, Polish, Curry & Grippos Housemade Sausages: all have great snap, juicy and thick. Polish was my personal favorite all around, savory and mixed perfect with the stone ground mustard and sauerkraut. Garlic pepper was a nice blend however I would’ve preferred a bit more garlic in it. Bierbrat was good but my least favorite of the three, it didn’t have much of a flavor to it. Curry sausage was an interesting take on a sausage, I was intrigued by the option, it had a numeric blend and curry drizzle that if it was served with naan bread as a bun and a cream sauce it would’ve been perfect. The Grippos sausage (Grippos being the Cincinnati chip of choice) was underwhelming unfortunately. I didn’t know what to expect with this one, the flavor was there but texture wise it crumbled apart quite easily. I hope they don’t stop trying new combinations and I do believe there is great potential for a Grippos sausage if they can get the texture figured out. Sauerkraut was your basic run of the mill sauerkraut that is a staple with any German delicacies. Bacon slaw consists of warm shredded cabbage with bacon strips mixed in. Great flavor however for texture I would prefer crispier bacon in it. Had a vinegar taste that complimented and blended well with the sauerkraut. Pierogis were delicious with about 6 on the plate covered in a cream sauce with crispy bacon bits and caramelized onions. Very good texture the filling was flavorful (for a pierogi) the onions and bacon definitely enhanced the dish. Overall I would go back when in town.

The food is very good. We had the Rueben and sausages and both were great. The giant pretzel was hefty and almost a meal itself with very good beer cheese. I’d like to go back and try the rest of the menu.

This place is awesome! Bartender is really friendly, beer was great, and food was excellent. I highly recommend to anyone that is hungry for German food. It’s away from the busy area of Covington so parking was a breeze. If you’re looking for a place to eat in Covington, skip the rest and try this place, one of the best.

Wunderbar! is an excellent German pub serving quality food, great drinks, and hosting music on a regular basis. Located in Covington just off of the 12th street exit, this fine establishment is refuge to those seeking yummy German cuisine, a tasty nightcap, or some easygoing performances. I visited for a songwriter night, met some incredible people, and left with a full belly and a haply heart.

Was exploring nearby offerings on the map, and this one just seemed interesting. I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. They were very busy because they had a local band in the house and they were fun and had a nice sound. That was a bonus! It's a small place with minimal staff but the service was quick and the food was good! The crowd was really friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to go to meet new friends and have a good time. It's not what I was expecting but instead got a more interesting and fun experience. I can say for sure, I've never had a bratwurst that good. I was slightly disappointed in the potato salad because it was a different style than I had expected, and I should have asked. Just go there for some good food, good crowd, and good conversation with people you've never met and may never see again. If that's not your thing, do it anyway.

I’ve never been here before, first time. When you go I hope they have the pretzel dumpling it’s made with day old pretzels and just oh my gosh I had two helpings! Staff was great, food was good and the space was cute. Staff was more than skilled to give recommendations :).

Great first experience. Staff was great, and service was quick. Fun environment, live band while we were here. Food portions are big, very filling. Large pretzel was great with beer cheese. Burgers are cooked to order and was very good. Good sauerkraut and roasted broccoli. Food and drinks brought out quickly, will be returning again.

If you love German style food, good beer, amazing vibes, and some of the friendliest staff in Covington, then look no further! A local treasure. Go to Wunderbar if you want to feel at home, and fill your belly at the same time. Always good music whether it be a playlist or live artists!

Southern restaurant (US)
Commonwealth Bistro offers a modern twist on Southern cuisine and boasts an extensive wine and cocktail selection in a cozy setting. Located in the heart of historic Mainstrasse Village, this charming gem is known for its warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's impeccable restoration is evident in its bright and airy space. Guests can expect friendly service, fresh house-made dishes, and a lively crowd.
Amazing food. We found this restaurant by accident while on a road trip in America and I can honestly say it was some of the best food I have eaten in a long time. I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. The staff were excellent. I know some people have mentioned in other posts about it being a little slow which it was however you can see in the kitchen that everything is being cooked fresh and so I'm happy to wait for fresh cooked food.
Lee-anne W — Google review
Of all the places to eat in Mainstrasse this is my favorite. I have been here for everything from special events to brunch and dinner. I have had exactly 0 things that have been bad and several dishes that are extremely good. They will often do daily specials and even with enjoying the menu a lot. I find that their daily specials often to be even better. I have taken my family and everyone agrees this place is extremely above average and has some of the better food we have eaten anywhere.. The service has always been good Steven their bartender is extremely exceptional! He just makes sure anything you need is handled even special orders. I have done like 100 reviews and he is the only server I know by name. If you get a chance to go and eat at this place I highly recommend it.

Enjoyed a delicious brunch here today with my husband. He had the rabbit hash, and I had the chicken and waffles. Both were great. Also enjoyed some delicious cocktails. The space is beautiful and open.
Erin K — Google review
They have an interesting but limited menu. We had the Kentucky Fried rabbit and a vegetarian dish whose name escapes me and the dumpling appetizer. All the sauces they served were great. Dumplings were good, the veggie dish was OK. Rabbit was smoked and fried and was delicious. Had a cocktail, it was underwhelming. The ladies' room was absolutely frigid.
Meg W — Google review
A lot of TLC went into the planning of this charming gem, and it shows. Located in the heart of historic Mainstrasse Village, this impeccably restored beauty is bright, airy and inviting. I came for Saturday brunch and was greeted by a friendly, attentive staff, a lively and trendy crowd, and clean open kitchen. I ordered the breakfast board with a side of home fries. Everything was clearly prepared fresh in-house, right down to the ketchup. My coffee was fresh and hot, and my cup was never empty. Prices are well in line with typical bistros, but this place is anything but typical. Bring a date, your friends or family, or come alone. You'll be made to feel at home. I'll be back.

Charming spot with the cutest outdoor patio and incredible food. I was there for a private event with dishes served family style and I'm STILL thinking about the gnocchi! The food was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely return if I’m ever in the area again.

We loved Commonwealth Bistro! Our group had a variety of drinks, appetizers and entrees and everything was perfect! They had the most delicious fresh mushrooms, locally foraged. Staff and service were excellent. Can't say enough about our experience! Visit Commonwealth!

One of those places where the first bite makes you fall in love and breaks your heart as the end of the dish looms in your near future. The space is beautiful and open, the servers were prompt and informed. If I could eat here everyday I would. Ideal for dates or small gatherings.

Knuk-N-Futz

Chicken wings restaurant
Knuk-N-Futz is a laid-back spot in Taylor Mill known for its variety of chicken wing flavors and heat levels. Despite challenges like restaurant fires and capacity restrictions, the place has adapted by expanding its patio to the parking lot. It's a favorite hole-in-the-wall with a dive bar aesthetic, neon signs, and TVs for catching games. The wings are highly recommended, especially during wing night specials.
We saw this on Chowdown Cincy and had to check it out! We love wings, and the wings were great! You can adjust heat levels, which is a huge plus! It is extremely busy, so plan to wait if you have a larger group. Also, there were lots of families, so if you don't like kids, you might not want to eat in. They have carry out, and there were lots of orders being picked up. The food came out quickly and hot! The wings were large and juicy! They also have curly fries, which are our favorites! We were quite pleased and will eat there again.
Shelly A — Google review
Knuk-N-Futz was a pleasant surprise off the beaten path. It was easy to get to, but not seen from the interstate. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We sat down right away. Later, there was a line. The parking lot has plenty of parking. There were no stairs. The prices were reasonable. It had a fun vibe with many televisions. I was impressed they had a menu for Lent. I enjoyed my fish, and the hubs had shrimp. The other side of the restaurant had a bar. It looked nice, too. We would go back.

Awesome spot for wings! This place might be small, but it’s packed with flavor and personality. The wings were absolutely delicious—crispy, saucy, and cooked to perfection. The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. A unique little gem that’s definitely worth checking out!
Mike T — Google review
Went to eat and wanted to sit on the patio. Was placed on a brief wait because they were out of all clean dishes (appreciate the honesty). Sat down and service was a little slow but they were busy. Ordered some wings and loaded wedges. When the food came out the wings were large and plenty of sauce on them but the wedges were underwhelming. There were less than 12 wedges with some cheese and bacon tossed on top (for $5 I guess I expected a little more, compared to a huge basket of fries for similar price). Order was a little messed up but they quickly corrected it. I’ve eaten here before and will likely return, just won’t be ordering wedges.
Jon W — Google review
OMG! We’ve been past this place about a thousand times but never gone in. Today we tried it for the first time and were extremely impressed! Service was fast and friendly. Food was great! Beer was literally ice cold. We will definitely be going back. 10/10 Highly Recommend.
Dirk G — Google review
I’ve been to Knut N Futz more times than I can count at this point, and I just realized I’ve never left a review! Since we ate there as recently as last night, I figured it’s finally time to give them the credit they deserve. Knut N Futz is a classic dive-style spot that serves up fantastic wings, sandwiches, appetizers, and more — but make no mistake, the wings are the real stars of the show. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a dive bar: walls covered in quirky memorabilia, plenty of TVs for catching the game, and a cozy, no-frills vibe. There are two main seating areas with booths and tables. The service here has always been solid. Whether we’ve dined in or ordered takeout, it’s been quick and reliable, and the staff is consistently friendly and attentive. We always start with the mac ‘n’ cheese bites — they’re a must! The fried pickles and jalapeño poppers are also top-notch if you’re looking to mix things up. Now for the main event: the wings. I usually go for the boneless wings with Kajun Ranch sauce, and they are seriously delicious. Portions are generous, and I always pair mine with the smiley fries — partly for the nostalgia, but mostly because they just taste great. My girlfriend swears by the bone-in buffalo wings and always gets a side of onion rings, which she loves. Heads-up if you’re planning a weekend visit: this place gets BUSY. You’ll likely wait 20 minutes or more for a table, and it gets pretty loud during peak hours — so maybe not ideal for a quiet date night. That said, it’s worth the wait, and weekdays might offer a more laid-back experience. All in all, Knut N Futz has become one of our go-to spots — especially for casual hangouts or celebrating with friends. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the mood for great wings and a fun, laid-back atmosphere!
James H — Google review
Fantastic food and phenomenal service. Draft list is minimal but hits all the local craft beers perfectly. Some of the regulars can be a little sauced as much as the wings but no bother.
The A — Google review
Bone-in wings are the thing to get here. They have a variety of sauces and dry rubs that you can order at whatever spice level you want. I think extra hot has a good heat-flavor ratio. The buffalo and honey bbq are my favorite sauces, and Kevin's Heaven (formerly rub-a-dub) is my favorite dry rub. It's similar to a bbq dry rub. The bleu cheese is fantastic- one of the best I've had. It's great with the wings and fries. The fries (kurly q's) are good as both regular and cajun, but I recommend ordering well-done or they can come out a little soft at times. The best appetizer is the rubbed n jacked fries. They're lights-out. Beer cheese, wing sauce, dry rub, lots of flavor. The knuk eggs are good too. Now the burgers.... I had a terrible experience with the 1/4 pound burger here a while ago. It was one of the worst burgers I've ever had, worse than a high-school cafeteria burger. It was dry, tiny, and under-seasoned. I heard that they had updated their burgers somewhat recently, and I had to find out. This time, I ordered the 1/2 pound patty melt at the server's recommendation for best burger. The 1/2 lb was much juicier and was a good size for the bun. It was, however, still under-seasoned. A little more salt and it would've been a pretty good burger. Still, I say wings are the way to go. Atmosphere is casual and somewhat quiet for a bar setting. A good family place.
