Revolution Square is a significant site in Havana, Cuba, known for its vast plaza and as the location of many presidential addresses. It features monuments dedicated to Cuban revolutionary heroes. The square holds historical significance as it was the central location for many branches of the regime's government and showcases artwork honoring notable Cubans involved in the revolution. The area has deep political ties and serves as a reminder that Castro's Cuba is still very much alive.
Revolution Square (Plaza de la Revolución) is a place filled with history and significance. Standing in such an iconic location, surrounded by monumental buildings and the famous images of Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos, really brings the history of Cuba to life. However, be prepared for the intense heat if you visit during the day. The square is vast and mostly uncovered, so the sun can be quite harsh. I recommend bringing water, a hat, and sunscreen to stay comfortable while taking in the powerful atmosphere of this historic site.

Revolution Square has great historical significance. Here you can see the image of Chegevara and the image of Chienfuegos on two different buildings. It is very spacious, in fact, there are no additional activities. But it is recommended to visit.
Aleksandra N — Google review
Revolution Square is a primary location to visit when you travel to Havana. It's got a huge space with a monument on the northern side. The wall murals of Che and Camilo are on the opposite side of the square. It is said that in the middle of the square, in the empty area, a million people can fit standing.
Reza N — Google review
Nice plaza we stop on the car tour for some pictures and our driver took this incredible pictures for us .
D T — Google review
The monuments are of Castro and Geuvara on the side of the buildings, just a parking lot distance from the Jose Marti monument. We saw both attractions while on a classic car ride in Havana.

Actually Revolution Square, is both a municipality and a square in Havana, Cuba. It is is situated in the Vedado neighborhood, overlooking the Malecón and offering great views of the sea and the city. It has been visited by many celebrities over the years. We enjoyed a stroll around plus the view.
Ross D — Google review
Loved coming here this was a historical place in the history of cuba in this very spot many cubans have witnessed fidel castro do his speech which lasted over 7hrs. The area is a good place to stop and take a look around at the local buildings and famous landmarks. lots of the old classic cars stop here and this is a good place to see more of them in one place.
Mark P — Google review
Massive square which want to celebrate the greatness of Cuba. There are several points of interest such as the monument to Jose Martin, considered the real father of Cuban people’s power. The wall to Camillo Cinfuegos and to Ernesto Che Guevara. The square has been gathered more than one million people during the speeches of Fidel Castro and also during the visit of Popes John Paul II in 1998 and Francis In 2015. For sure it deserves a visit.

Cuban Art Factory, also known as F.A.C., is a contemporary cultural center located in Havana. It was originally a cooking oil factory and has been transformed into a versatile space that offers art exhibitions, live music performances, fashion shows, and film screenings. The venue is popular among both locals and tourists, offering a diverse range of activities such as theater, jazz, contemporary dance, and more.
A very unique space that I recommend visitors check out in Havana. Art installations, music, dancing and multiple bars make for a special experience traveling through the rooms and courtyards. We were only there for a few hours and feel like we barely scratched the surface of what it has to offer. It was truly a memorable time however and I hope to return on my next visit to Havana!
Mathieu G — Google review
Cuban Art Factory is an inspiring and vibrant place to explore local creativity. The space is filled with colorful artworks, from paintings and sculptures to unique handmade crafts, and every corner has something eye-catching. I loved chatting with the artists, who were passionate and eager to share the stories behind their creations. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it easy to spend hours wandering and discovering hidden gems. It’s the perfect spot to take home a piece of authentic Cuban art and soak in the energy of the local art scene.
Sarah M — Google review
Interesting place with mixture of an art gallery on multiple different levels, multiple bars, live dance shows, DJs, restaurant and much more. At the time we were there, there was a hip hop breakdance performance where you could join in and get involved with the dancing. The restaurant offered a variety of foods and desserts. Entry was $3 USD. You would get stamped for every drink that you have and then you can pay altogether at the end. Be mindful of the taxi drivers outside, many of them will offer to drive you at very expensive prices, so make sure you negotiate or use a ride share app.

I loved my visit in 2022. Though there was a blackout it was so fun to walk through the various rooms and dance floors full of art. I returned again in 2024 because this is one of my favorite places. In 2022 my favorite of the night was the disco mannequin, and in 2024 my favorite set was the aging woman

Stunning place, one in the top 5 music / event venues that i've visited. Brst place to enjoy New Year' s in Habana
Gabriel F — Google review
This place was so cool! What an awesome idea. Entry is minimal and you receive a ticket that records all your food and beverage at the various stations which are scattered throughout the venue. Lots of little garden areas with seating for gathering. Inside the warehouses are different art installations and various musical performances. The night we went we heard a range from reggae to rock to a phenomenal acapella performance. Drinks and food were great and one of the most memorable things was that everyone was nice. Not like a club filled with annoying people who are rude, bumping in to you, or servers who are frazzled and don't seem to want to be there. Both workers AND patrons were friendly. I know it's an odd thing to point but it was just such a nice experience. We didn't stay terribly late, maybe it worse late at night. Lol It would be a real shame to have traveled all the way to Cuba and not visited this amazing establishment. It was one of our most memorable experiences!

What a unique experience art-food-drinks-music, multi-level building inside and outside. Entrance fee is only 500 Pesos. Love the concept of the food/drink card (you get stamps when you order drinks/food and you pay when you leave - just don't lose your card - if you do, you have to pay $35).

Hotel
Hotel Nacional de Cuba, a historic lodging dating back to 1930, boasts an intriguing mix of architectural styles including Art Deco, neoclassical, and Hispano-Moresque. The hotel has hosted numerous famous figures such as Nat King Cole, Winston Churchill, Ernest Hemingway, Frank Sinatra, Eva Gardner, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. With 460 rooms and various dining options and bars available on-site along with outdoor pools and live entertainment.
Amazing place. Are the rooms old? Sure. So what. We booked it as a package from Canada at crazy bargain prices so maybe we’re less annoyed than those who paid a fortune to stay there. It’s a wonderful place. They key to really enjoying it is to never change money there, or use your credit card, or eat anything but the included breakfast and snacks by the pool. Change your cash on the street for literally 3 times their rate. 3 times! There are tons of great restaurants really near by (rule: never eat out at any govt run restaurant, no matter how fancy, only eat at the private ones) that not only accept your money to pay for dinner but will also exchange even more for pesos. Then you go to the National for great drinks and absolutely wonderful non stop music and pay in pesos. Suddenly your $8 drink is now $2.60! Get smart! We’d stay again in a heartbeat. Love this place.

It is a historical hotel with excellent high end service. The only drawback is the location is a bit far away from the old town and touristy areas. The humidor is definitely well stocked and worthwhile walking into to check out the cigar selection especially the Cohibas. Its like walking into a jewellery store for cigars .
Alan T — Google review
Two years ago, the hotel had prices in pesos that were affordable for Cubans to try maybe every once in a while. A beer back then was about 300 pesos. Now, it is a US dollar cash grab. Everything is now in US dollars on the menu. Very sad. Before, three beers would cost you the equivalent of about two or three dollars USD. Now, three beers comes to over $13. Over 2000 pesos per beer!! More than twice as much as the fanciest restaurants I've ever been to in Cuba. That is crazy, and I do not recommend supporting this place at all. Still well worth going and viewing the grounds and inside the hotel. I just would not buy any food or beverage there.

Rooms-average except extremely hot no working ac which ruined it lowk as it was too hot Staff-ok but the thing is when I reported the problem they did nothing for a hour before actually sending someone and explaining Pool-10/10, 3 meters deep clean cold water quiet not filled Restaurant-10/10 worth the money, relatively cheap with 10/10 food n choices also very quiet

It sits on the edge of a cliff with a large courtyard in the back, it's beautiful. There's random peacocks just roaming around. It's a great place to come get drinks at the end of the day, you don't need to be staying there. Go grab a seat and the wait staff will come around to you eventually!

It’s a beautiful hotel, our room was great, we stayed in one of the historical rooms. Booked it through Air Canada’s vacation packages. It’s Cuba so it’s VERY casual, professionalism is not a developed concept yet. I am not saying it to judge but to make sure you are aware of it.

Cuban restaurant
La Guarida is a unique and award-winning restaurant located in a 19th-century residential neighborhood in Centro Habana, Cuba. Despite its unassuming location, it offers expertly prepared cuisine in an atmospheric setting. The restaurant is situated on the third floor of a weathered apartment building and features three intimate dining rooms adorned with eclectic wall displays. Diners can enjoy dishes like sugar-cane tuna glazed with coconut and fish salad with crunchy vegetables and peanuts.
Went here for dinner with a group and listened to a great local band. The building is gorgeous and we enjoyed the different terrace bars. The three course dinner was delicious and the drinks were generous!
Sandy W — Google review
On our last day in Havana, we decided to visit La Guarida and it was the best decision we made on our last dinner here in Cuba! The ambience is unique and the building is a mix of romantic vintage manor house! The staff were very professional and kind and the food was delicious!! All dishes were very tasty from the starters to our main tenderloin beef!! Suggestions is the Gorgonzola croquettes and definitely the triple chocolate cake (or something like that)!! Just an amazing night!!

Wow! What a great meal. Started off at the rooftop bar and then had dinner on the terrace. The food was fantastic, amazing wine list, and very great service. View if the water is nice as well. Tuna tar tar was my favorite item…super fresh. Garlic shrimp was also very good.

I’ve been to this magical restaurant two times over the past few years. It’s a regular stop when you are traveling to Cuba with a group. Both times this place can really take your breath away by the decaying beauty. The rooms have amazing art and the staff is terrific. This time the apps were delicious. Beautifully done with really interesting texture and flavors. The entrees— even the house specialities were just okay. Salt (on the table) really helped my snapper. And my friend’s chicken and another friend’s cod fish. Dessert- a kind of lemon and meringue was excellent.
Laura T — Google review
This overpriced restuarant has a beautiful rooftop to look over the not so lit city of Havana. But the sky can be fabulous. Drinks and good are expensive, for what they are. But the building is frozen in time and you will have a good time.
R H — Google review
Wow, completely WOW. I found this hidden gem on Instagram, and I am oh so glad I did. The atmosphere is completely unmatched. You walk in through a semi-decrepit-looking entrance, with beautifully crumbling architecture typical of Havana, and wind up an ornate staircase through a succession of stunning and colorful rooms/floors. This all ends on a glorious rooftop bar with 360-degree views of the city. It took my breath away. The food was also impeccable, and the menu offered some adventurous choices, which I always appreciate. They could’ve served me poop on a platter though, and I would’ve been happy— nothing can beat that view! And the art throughout is stunning. Great service, not too crowded. I felt like an insider seeing a side of the city that I would never have otherwise gotten to see. Do not miss this.
John T — Google review
A culinary masterpiece in an elegant bit of architecture. The food is outstanding; we had 3 courses, and each dish was delicious. The tuna tartare starter and chicken main were especially good. They have a good selection of cocktails, and more importantly, a wide selection of Rum! Service was fantastic, all waiting staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Restaurant was packed, so the vibe was good, and the views you get on the balconies is great. One of the rare venues tourists can pre book, so strongly suggest you do to.ensure you get a table.
Jack C — Google review
When we chose this restaurant, it seemed like a well-established institution. However, our experience suggested that it didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by its Google reviews and the surrounding hype. While the standard of food is still quite good by Cuban standards, it fell short of what we anticipated. The setting was nice, when you walk in there is the speech written by Fidel Castro on the wall next to the stairs which is a popular spot for photos. The aesthetic of the interior is nice and provides a good vibe for dining. Despite being regarded as one of the best restaurants in Cuba, there were some glaring issues. One glass contained an unidentified floating object, and the sparkling water was completely off, arriving pre-opened and undrinkable. The fish of the day was snapper, which was well-prepared and complemented by a flavorful sauce. The texture of the fish was fine and easy to chew. The 50-day dry-aged ribeye was served with a hot plate, allowing us to sear the steak ourselves. While the concept was interesting, the execution left much to be desired. The aging process was evident in the texture and flavor notes of the steak, but it didn’t quite reach the expectations of a premium dry-aged cut. It was accompanied by grilled capsicum, potatoes, salt, and a sweet-and-sour sauce intended to enhance the self-searing experience. Next, we tried the saffron oxtail risotto. Although it carried the scent of saffron, it lacked the authenticity of true saffron infusion. Unfortunately, the dish was unbearably salty, overshadowing any other flavors. The lobster dish was similarly disappointing. It was overly salty and had an unpleasant raw seafood odor, suggesting it wasn’t fresh enough. The ropa vieja was slightly better—above average and, thankfully, not overly salty. As for desserts, the rice pudding was bland, appearing prepackaged. The cheesecake was below average, though the touch of cheddar was an interesting twist that gave it a semblance of being a true cheesecake. The triple chocolate dessert was the standout highlight—rich and satisfying. Another notable dessert was the lemon tart with meringue, which offered a pleasant and refreshing conclusion to the meal. At the end, it took about half an hour to receive the bill and sort out payments, which was far too long for us and prevented us from spending the rest of our night somewhere else. In summary, while Le Guarida shows promise, its reputation didn’t align with the actual experience. A few standout dishes aside, the inconsistencies in preparation and quality were hard to overlook. Thank you

El Cocinero is a trendy loft-style lounge in Havana, located in a former cooking oil factory with a rooftop terrace. The industrial past is still evident in the towering chimney, but the atmosphere and cuisine exude modern sophistication. From mouthwatering duck confit and blinis to delightful seafood options, the menu offers an array of delectable choices. After dinner, guests can savor expertly prepared cocktails while enjoying expansive city views from the terrace.
What a cool spot! This open air rooftop bar is one of a kind. Servers were attentive, but not overbearing, great wine selection, food was excellent - came in portions easy to share. Highly recommend.

Really great restaurant. The neighborhood is the only con as it is kind of ugly and far from the tourist area. Otherwise it is perfect. The food is great! Loved the dumplings, the cucumber pasta with meatballs was so good. The lobster with risotto tasted so original. But the best part of it was the freshly baked bread with basil butter, to die for! The chocolate pie was super tasty too. Definitely a must in Havana. Not pricey at all. Good wine selection.

Cozy and dimming lights. The decor is nice overall. However, the art pictures are very provocative. Just brace yourself when going upstairs to use the bathroom....very suggestive artwork. It's not a kid friendly place. It's an adult vibe. The food was ok...I like well seasoned food. We had a large party so we had the prix fix menu. The price was extremely affordable $30 us for appetizer, main course, 2 alcoholic drinks and dessert. I drinks are really good and the bartenders are not cheap with the alcohol so that's a plus. Beautiful place, but it felt like the bartender was bullying me? Like a bad highschool movie. He was facetiously lying about the menu prices when I asked what they were in USD, and when I handed him 10$ and asked him to just make any cocktail, he got very sarcastic and poured a single shot. I don't really care too much, it was just weird and not worth it to go back on my short trip here

Restaurant
Nestled in the penthouse of a Vedado apartment building, Restaurante Café Laurent exudes an air of chic sophistication reminiscent of Paris or Barcelona. This stylish eatery features a vibrant dining room adorned with newsprint and an inviting terrace that boasts stunning views over Havana. The menu is a delightful celebration of seafood infused with Creole flavors, offering dishes like red snapper with clams and lobster brochettes, alongside meat and vegetarian options that are artfully presented.
Beautiful classy paladar apparently recommended by Anthony Bourdain. Has great service with someone to point the way downstairs and elevator attendant. The restaurant has a great open layout and is very breezy even during the hottest days. The food was delicious and flavorful, perhaps the best paladar food we’d had on this trip.

Love this place a lot. Within walking distance from Hotel Nacional. Contemporary decor, staff was lovely and the food was amazing. Grab a seat by the balcony to enjoy the sun and watch the cars go by. Its noted as one of my favourite in Havana. The restaurant can be reached in its retro life or by stairs. I suggest the lift as I love taking in the old newspaper clippings.

Just wow. We we searching for an opportunity for lunch in that area and our travel guide recommended Café Laurent. Thankfully! The view from the terrace is great, the temperature is great as well, even when it's very hot outside. Food was great, people very nice. It's not so easy to find, but there is a guy outside that will lead you in. Another fantastic restaurant in Havana if you know it. Great Mojitos as well :) Thank you!

The service was slow but then again, I understand that unlike what I am used to in Canada, people do enjoy taking their time with their meals and drinks in Cuba. I ordered their barbacoa chicken which came with potatoes. I ordered that with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and yellow rice. Reasonably priced and a decent sized portion. Potatoes were a bit crunchy as though not cooked through. We also ordered a butter cake which tasted a little stale. The chocolate sauce was incredible and the espresso I washed it all down with was nothing short of amazing.

Honestly nothing special, The prices are realy high comparing to what you get. The service is very nice and helpful. The view is ok but nothing special. I will not come again to this place. We paid almost 20 euro for 2 starters- salads and drink. The rest of a dishes are super expensive.

Avoid! The only good thing is that one of the waitresses, although inexperienced, speaks english. The food is a joke - they didn't have everything on the menu, the sandwiches are made with soft bread not baguette, they don't know what an iced coffee is, literally. I have asked for 1 with 2 shots of espresso in it and i got 2 mini coffees with a bit of milk in them. As for the mains I only wanted a chicken leg with fried rice, not so difficult i believe. The chicken was cold in the middle and has been boiled before and after that fried so it tasted disgusting. I am not even mentioning the tired salad and the rice. I have sent it back and they did not charge me for it. Empanadas were doughy, bland, flavourless, not enough filling. I understand the food crisis in the country but the restaurants need to start hiring people who can actually cook and learn how to use spices. Unacceptable!

This is a VERY cool restaurant in Havana we have eaten in a couple of times (breakfast and dinner). The food is great, with an Iranian flair. If you need a place for breakfast I highly recommend it. The prices are reasonable for Havana.
Patrick F — Google review
The place was really nice; it didn't have a very Iranian feel with all the characters from different parts of the world but the food was really good. It was different, but quite enjoyable. We tried a couple of things, including a dish of multiple times as appetizers and they were all good. The only thing that was not that good was the chocolate cake that the waiter had recommended.

Very kind and attentive service. Server helped me choose a vegetarian option, of which there are several. Got the veg plate which was lots of food, you taste a lot of different dishes for 1400 CUP, I left full & will likely return at some point to try their breakfast.

It was our first experience of eating in a restaurant in Cuba, and also in trying Iranian food. We loved the excellent service of our waitress LILY the first person to receive us very friendly, professional, attentive and above all a great smile, we had breakfast and we returned more late with the rest of the family that came from Mexico, very grateful to the service and attention of putting music on my birthday, we will really be back because the food was excellent.
Marco G — Google review
I absolutely loved coming here.. All the wait staff was great but Leyanet is especially memorable. Do not expect to be blown away by the food. Although it is Persian/middle eastern, there are Cuban influences sprinkled in. I love Persian steamed rice and Naan so I was a bit disappointed when these servings were not authentic. Other than that the food was okay. I enjoyed having tea here. Atmosphere was chill and laid back. Adding a playlist of Cuban or even Persian music would be a nice addition. This is a nice inexpensive spot that I'm sure I will visit again.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with La Bodeguita Del Medio, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Saint Francis of Assisi Plaza. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Cuban restaurant
La Bodeguita Del Medio is a legendary establishment in Havana, known for its historical significance and famous patrons. The walls are adorned with inscriptions and framed photographs of celebrities, creating a unique ambiance. This was Ernest Hemingway's favorite place to enjoy a refreshing mojito. While the prices may be on the higher side, visiting this iconic bar allows you to step into the footsteps of the renowned author and experience Havana through his eyes.
Wonderful place, not at least because I reminded some of the patrons of Hemingway 🤣😂 Excellent mojitos and a very good live band. Loved the lobster cubana. Yum. Want to have a great time in Havana, don't miss this place

Definitely tourist trap. If I can give zero star to Service, I would. No smile, no greeting, blunt tone, side eye. Seriously overrated and no respect to tourist. Because they know they are famous and people will come anyway. $6 for mojito here and below average taste. $3 elsewhere with even better taste

Amazing, very delicious, we had the lobster it was perfect, the lemonades were not that good i tried better in cuba, i think they add lots of sugar. Beautiful atmosphere

“Bodeguita del Medio is a must-visit spot in Havana — full of character, history, and probably the best mojito you’ll ever have. The atmosphere is lively, the music’s authentic, and the walls tell stories.”

I always drink a mojito here. Sometimes I also eat here. It's a restaurant I always visit when I go to Cuba.

Just found a magnet I got from there back in October 2005 when friends and I stopped in for a mojito and a snack. Looks like the place hasn’t changed a bit.
Hans S — Google review
Totally overrated! The front is filled with tourists all hours of the day. The food is ok, but nothing special. We tried the Ropa Vieja because a lot of people here recommend it... it was mediocre. The Mojitos are really small. All in all, a tourist trap. You can find a better place to eat with more delicious food! The live music was great, but it is practically everywhere in Havana.

The Iberostar Selection Parque Central is a luxurious 5-star hotel nestled in the heart of Havana's Old Quarter, offering stunning views of the National Capitol Building. Its prime location provides easy access to popular tourist areas and entertainment venues like the Floridita Bar and La Bodeguita del Medio. The hotel boasts elegant colonial architecture that reflects the surrounding legendary structures, creating a charming ambiance.
My son and I stayed at Parque Central September 2025 on our first visit to Cuba. We loved this hotel. The room was great with very comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet very good as was dinner in the hotel restaurant and the bar food. The staff throughout the hotel so friendly and always ready to help. I recommend booking a massage with Rigo in the Spa. He was excellent and very respectful. We hope to visit Cuba again and stay at the Parque Central and thank you all for making our stay so memorable

Mixed review - the positives . the location is great, walking distance to most locations . Rooftop swimming pool has exceptional views and . Breakfast has good selection . They have live music in the lobby bar area. The negatives . The hotel is infested with cockroaches in rooms and even in the restaurant next to the food which the staff constantly kill or remove by hand. No tea kettle or tea of coffee in the rooms, this is standard in all hotels around the world even in Varadero but in this hotel they won't and the room fridge is empty, but they rate themselves 5 star. Some staff are very friendly but some behave as if they don't want to be there. The most annoying thing is that if you pay for your food and drink straightaway you can pay in pesos but if you add to your room to pay at the end, they suddenly won't accept pesos and charge you is hard currency at three times the exchange rate.
Farrokh H — Google review
Even if we were accommodated elsewhere, we came here for breakfast and used the pool and bar. The prices are affordable, the food was really excellent, the cocktails were great. The staff is very friendly and smiling. I enjoyed spending time on the rooftop of the hotel by the pool, sipping cocktails with a view of Havana.

Excellent location, close to the historic center and Central Park, offering an authentic Cuban experience. Rooftop pool with spectacular views of the Capitol. Opened in 1988 in Old Havana - downtown, classic, authentic, traditional atmosphere, but emblematic for Havana; very welcoming reception, lively atmosphere, lots of greenery, tropical look, Live music in lobby Family hotel; recommended for active tourists, on the 8th floor it has a superb terrace with a view of the Capitol
Criss — Google review
My review is for the restaurant at the hotel, not the hotel itself. This being said, this restaurant is awful. Food was cold, poorly prepared, and everything had the same damn seasoning: ketchup, mustard and mayo. This is seasoning for a burger, not for other kind of food. Staff only treats you will if you tip them (like most places in Havana and Varadero), which makes you feel bad. It was insanely expensive, worst dollar-peso exchange, and the drinks weren't well prepared. I don't recommend even to my worst enemy.
Valéria A — Google review
I stayed here for few nights. The location, room, staff and room-cleaning quality are all great, WiFi is also good (although the signal is strongest in your room and practically non-existent anywhere else), and let's say I would recommend it, but with a caution. The water is an essential thing in life, especially in the place where regular tap water is not safe neither for drinking nor for brushing the teeth. I had one bottle of water waiting in my room when I arrived, as expected, but after I finished it, I had to buy additional bottles. The hotel restaurant has them, so getting them is easy, but guests of the hotel should not be charged for it. At least give me same new bottle every day and charge me for additional ones, don't give me just one bottle free for my entire stay. I don't know how other hotels are handling this, but in my opinion this is unacceptable.
Marko C — Google review
I stayed for three nights and the people is kind, the music is nice and the Services are very good. The pool at the roof is amazing.

History Museums
Located in a former Presidential Palace, the Museum of the Revolution, also known as Museo de la Revolucion, is a must-visit for history enthusiasts in Havana. The museum showcases exhibits dedicated to the Cuban Revolution, featuring original documents, black and white photographs from that era, and pre-revolutionary memorabilia. Visitors can also see Fidel Castro's famous yacht on display.
Love revolutionary Cuban history. Regardless of your personal opinions of Fidel, what he and his men accomplished was nothing sort of extraordinary, considering how out-gunned and out-manned they were. This museum is an enchanting journey through time. My favorite part of the museum were all the bullet holes still in the marble walls from when some of Fidel's men tried to infiltrate Batista's palace (what the museum used to be). The famous boat, Granma is also here. If you're in Havana, don't miss this relic.
Ping Z — Google review
We tried to go here today (April 2022) but the main entrance was closed, apparently all or most of the building is closed for renovations now. It turned out that the only thing available was the glass pavilion with Granma, the boat that Fidel used to come to Cuba to start the revolution. It seemed quite restricted as we couldn't bring our small backpacks nor take pictures, so we decided to skip that and just walk around the outside of that park and view it from the street.
M. T — Google review
The architecture, beautiful details and upkeep were fabulous. So much amazing things to learn and see from a foreigner's standpoint. This is a museum that I cannot wait to go back to learn more and enjoy. Only drawback was the one room was off limits for upkeep and restoration.
Tiffany H — Google review
Museum in renovation for now so you can only see the outside with vehicles. They didn't change the entrance price but neither since inflation get crazy so it's 1$ to get in.. but still, I was only able to see just few vehicles with not that much history.. the main thing to see is the boat but it's quite well hidden behind not-so-transparent glass windows. You can't enter, there is no explanations about that boat so I wanted to sit and watch on Wikipedia but sitting was forbidden apparently so I just get out of this place with no more insight than when I entered, understanding Cuba is far from their original vision.
Thibault P — Google review
Wonderful place to visit, full of Cuban history. It is not a tourist trap. Admission includes seeing the yacht Fidel, Che, and Cienfuegos came on. The souvenirs were the best prices we've seen. The building was under renovation when we went, but that didn't hinder the beauty of it.

This a big square right around the Cathedral of Havana. It is best to go early in the morning, when there are not many people. There are a few men who just want to impose their classic cars rides. Other than that, you can relax and explore the area.

One of the best landmarks in old Havana. Beautiful old cathedral. You can find Old women dressed in traditional clothes that are diviners sitting right next to the Chatedral. It also worth going inside, there no waiting or lines, the entrance is also free. But be respectful and beware that there might be Mass at the time of your visit.

This historic square also features attractions like Castillo de la Real Fuerza and El Templete.
Beautiful square with a mix of palaces, old buildings and a park. One really interesting detail is that the tiles on the road near the palace are made out of wood. According to our guide, a mayor of the city at the time, ordered that they put wooden tiles so that the horse carriages don't make too much noise while he is having a siesta.

Located in the heart of Habana Vieja, Paladar Doña Eutimia is a top dining establishment offering traditional Cuban dishes such as picadillo, stuffed plantains, and pork prepared in various ways. The restaurant's menu features rib-sticking classics like vaca frita and sweet fried maduros. It is praised for its reinvented ropa vieja with lamb and complimentary refills of velvety black beans.
We had a fantastic meal here - definitely a highlight of our trip to Havana! The courtyard is beautiful and there was a lovely band playing throughout our meal. We had the chicken fajitas and the picadillo. We also had flan with ice cream which was superb. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Havana! (Note: be careful of the men harassing you on the street - they tried to lie to us and tell us the restaurant wasn’t open!)

This place is another tourist stop to taste authentic Cuban food. The prices are high for the average tourisy Cuban restaurant. Even in the low season, expect a waiting line and to spend ~25€ per person for 1 entry, a drink, and a main dish. It is busy but recommended for a one-time experience.

Yes, the frozen mojito. Can I just stop there? ☺️ This place is super charming, clustered way in the back of the plaza with neighboring restaurants and a cool art studio at the peak. The staff was very helpful and kind. FYI, with the exception of one nasty person, I feel like everyone in Cuba was very kind helpful and nice. Anywho, the food was good. Not great mains but the rice and black beans were delicious. Again, didn’t come to Cuba for the food. I came for the culture and I had my fair share. A very nice and quiet restaurant. Very elegant. A place you'd want to take your fiancée, meet your in-laws, etc., to escape the noise and bustle of Old Havana. The food is elegant, the portions aren't too large, but it's tasty. Mine was too salty, but I won't complain. I didn't drink there, but a friend said the drink was very tasty and refreshing. I understand the restaurant being empty, but that doesn't mean seven staff members should sit and stare at us throughout dinner. It's not comfortable.

If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of the golden 20s and 30s in Cuban, you should visit this very elegant-looking restaurant with luxurious décor, large mirrors and paintings, bow-tied waiters, and live piano and violin music. It is a re-creation of the atmosphere of the pre-revolution aristocrats. Very charming.

This is probably the finest dining in Havana. First class service, a fully stocked bar and extensive wine menu. It is convenient to old Havana and just steps across the square from where taxis park. Some seating is outside but I find the quiet environment inside more appealing for a long dinner experience. Make sure to order a caesar salad since it's prepped at the table and don't pick a fight with Chino if he's your server. He was Cuba's top ranking boxer and a total gentleman.

One of the best meals in Havana. We liked the food we got, seafood paella, lobster dumplings, pumpkin soup and 4 milk leches (must try!). The place is small (5-6 tables). Staffs are friendly. We paid in pesos (at a fair exchange rate to USD).

Beautiful place the food was amazing and the atmosphere is very relaxed!!!

The ambience is excellent and the service is great too. It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown Old Havana, and the place itself is quite charming. The variety of dishes in the menu is quite appropriate, and the way they are presented and elaborated is equally adequate. However, without a doubt, servings are quite small. They are about less than half the size they should probably be. Being two people, we ordered Duck Ceviche, Lobster Dumplings (we were served 3 small dumplings), a Cesar's Salad, Magret and Tongue/Heart Tacos. We enjoyed it, but overall, it's somewhat overpriced.

Wow! One or the best meals I have ever had, anywhere. This is a place that is top of its game and not at all what I expected to find in Havana. Terrific old style lay out. You are presented with a small blackboard on your table with starters on one side and mains on the other. Anything from Lobster to patella to even a burger. I ported for the blue cheese burger not knowing what was to come, see pic, the flavors and the accompanying salad was spectacular For A Burger! She also had the Gazpacho soup which has a very special presentation, followed by the shredded beef, she has never tasted anything like it. 2 hugh brilliant cocktails to wash down and a lemon tart that was so good I could not even share. Wonderful Coffees to finish, again great presentation. Al Carbon is high end, prices are around €8-15 for starters and €15-35 for mains, beautiful fish lobster etc. Our total €77. Well worth it. Staff lovely and very professional and attentive. How locals could eat there??? How ever there were a few on the Tuesday night we were there. Highly recommend and would be back there in a heartbeat if I ever get back to Havana.

Fabulous ceviche, food and cocktails. Awesome place to hang out, great service. Highly recommend!

Higher class restaurant, you need to book a spot in advance. The cocktails are just yum and food was great. Cute little rooftop restaurant with excellent service.

Again, no reservations at 7 pm on a Sunday. Seated right away on the terrace. Great food, great service. Recommend the roast suckling pig. Best in the Americas. The quesadillas de langosta is really tasty too. Thanks for the recommendation, Carlito!

Restaurant
The D'Next Bar Cafeteria is a great place to enjoy breakfast in Havana with all the typical options found in American and European restaurants. It's located near the Capitol Building in Brasil Street, one of the main arteries of the old quarter.
The food and drinks were great. The waiters were super attentive and very nice. Good place to have lunch or dinner if you're in Havana.

Finding great food in Havana was harder than I thought! D’Next was an exception. The drinks were good. The food was even better. The burger patty was a bit dry but again this is the best burger you’ll find in Havana.

It’s a light feeling, sort of diner like place. Bright, clean, pleasant. All the staff are friendly. The food is very good. The prices are not the lowest, but not at all unreasonable. I have been there twice during this one week stay in old Havana. I would go back again!

Went twice while in Cuba. Customer service was great and you can’t beat that they have AC. The beef burgers were good but I didn’t enjoy the chicken burger much. Drink options were great and tasty. The food and drinks were very affordable. If you’re feeling for a burger, I’d definitely recommend this resturant if you’re in the area.

Great modern restaurant. Western food. fast service. We ate pizzas that were excellent and pasta that was a little less. Most of the diners are local, with almost no tourists. Nice music, excellent service, cheap prices.

Had a fabulous lunch here today. Terrific value for money. (See menu photos) pasta really good and great selection, does sandwiches, burgers etc. very friendly staff and very attentive. A lot of locals eat here. It was so good we went back and had dinner tonight. There cocktails are well worth a go, had several.

We came here for breakfast in a Sunday after a disappointing breakfast at El Dandy the day before. We had a much much much better breakfast here. For a similar price as what they serve at El Dandy, this place actually gives you butter with your toast (you still have to request it). Many of the breakfast dishes come with fresh squeezed juice and a protein (bacon, ham, etc). The eggs are cooked perfectly and the coffee is also less expensive. The only thing about this place is the decor is horrible..bright red black and white like an American diner with really bright lights and random American songs playing on the video screen. So I gave it 2 stars for ambience though having air conditioning is quite luxurious.

We came twice during our stay in Havana. I love how chill and layed back this place was. One time we got pastas and shared a Pina colada. Coctail was huge and very strong, which I think is awesome! We also had crockets and fries. Fries are awesome! The second time we only had Pina colada and fries. This time there was a different bartender, so the coctail had barely any alcohol, but they happily added more for us.
