Beaches
Playa Punta Popy, located in Las Terrenas, is a picturesque beach with clear shallow waters and coconut palms. It's a popular spot for kite surfing due to its perfect wind and wave conditions suitable for both beginners and pros. The beach offers a relaxing atmosphere with nearby cafes and restaurants, making it an ideal place to spend the day or enjoy stunning sunsets. Visitors can also rent beach chairs or simply lie on their towels under the shade of palm trees.
It’s a really nice beach. I’ve been twice and always a good experience. There’s parking, food and drinks available upon request, and just a peaceful atmosphere overall. I was initially a few feet down the road and in that spot the waves were a bit rough, so I decided to walk a few minutes down to Playa Punta Popy and the water was a lot calmer. I could get in with no issues.
Francini R — Google review
Playa Punta Popy is a vibrant and lively beach located at the eastern end of Las Terrenas, known for its colorful mix of kite surfers, beach bars, and palm-lined scenery. The water is shallow and clear, great for swimming and water sports, while the constant breeze makes it one of the top kiteboarding spots in the area. Along the beachfront, you’ll find several small restaurants and lounges offering everything from Dominican seafood to cocktails and smoothies. The vibe here is youthful and energetic during the day, but it calms down beautifully at sunset. Whether you're looking for a relaxed beach day, a casual drink by the water, or an afternoon of adventure, Punta Popy blends tropical beauty with the social buzz of Las Terrenas life.
Davide R — Google review
Punta Popi Beach in Los Terrenas is a beautiful, peaceful spot with a little something for everyone. The water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for swimming, and there are plenty of shaded areas to escape the sun. If you’re on the point, you’ll get a nice breeze, which keeps things comfortable. On the eastern side, the wind picks up a bit, making it a great spot for kitesurfing. No big waves here—just a relaxed, scenic beach that’s perfect for unwinding or enjoying the ocean in whatever way you like.
Leighton C — Google review
Nice beach if you’re walking distance there. I went for convenience but there are other beaches if you can drive. There wasn’t vendors for food & drinks sold here unless you wanted a large plate. Lots of locals go on weekends for a day trip. Beach was a bit crowded on Sundays.
Jim M — Google review
Nice, but there was a sandstorm that made it a bit uncomfortable for us. During August I came and it was BEAUTIFUL! The water was warm, blue and so much fun! It really depends on the season.
Kenia L — Google review
A great place to hang out! You can rent beach chairs (250-300 pesos each), or just lie on your towel. Punta Popy is full of palm trees, so you can always find shade. Because it’s a point, you can swim on the east or west side, depending on the waves. The sand is nice, and you can walk right into the water on pure sand (no stones). There is often a massage person there (Lourdes), who does a great massage for $40us/hour. On windy days, you can watch the many kite-surfers who come out to learn or jump the waves… great entertainment. There are restaurants nearby to get lunch or a drink and if you leave your towel on the chair, it will be held for you. It’s a great place to go, as there is always somewhere good to hang out, no matter the weather (not rain 😂).
Krista P — Google review
Access to boat rentals by the beach, many restaurants and friendly people :)
Brandon J — Google review
This might be one of the best beaches in the area, because is never crowded, water super clear, the right temperature, and there is never waves. Recommend. Bring some food and enjoy the day and possibly sunset! These photos were probably about 1/4 of a mile from the point. So there's no need to stay in the point. Scout an empty area and you will be all set!

Playa Las Terrenas in Samaná is a bustling Dominican city with a tranquil beachfront area. The single-lane dirt roads lead to small French cafes and offer stunning views of palm trees, beaches, and the turquoise ocean. A short walk inland reveals motorbike-filled streets where locals go about their daily lives. This destination provides a taste of Dominican culture along with the convenience of city life and a beautiful beach.
Always a wonderful stop when I come visit my husband and children. Day and night what a beauty
Crmn Z — Google review
Playa Las Terrenas, stretching along the town’s central area, is easily accessible and perfect for those wanting a beach day without straying far. While it's more urban and can be busier than other nearby beaches, it still maintains the laid-back charm that defines the region. The water is generally calm and inviting, ideal for swimming or paddleboarding, and you're just steps away from shops, restaurants, and cafes. It’s also a great spot to observe daily life—fishermen, vendors, and locals enjoying the sea. If you want a convenient beach experience close to all amenities, Playa Las Terrenas delivers comfort, accessibility, and authentic coastal energy.

Beautiful place the beaches are clean but my favorite was Playa Popi
Shalim L — Google review
If you're lucky enough to be able to drive into the beach parking lot then it's a great place to be! No parking fee and a great walking beach in either direction. Lots of beach bars/restaurants to choose from and the water was nice but not very clear. Not as many touristy shops to walk to as I had hoped and a bit chaotic going into the town itself, but overall a very nice beach.
Moriah S — Google review

Playa Las Terrenas is awesome! Perfect water and beach. Enough space and never crowded. Food kiosks on the beach. Will return many times over.

La Terrasse is a charming French-style restaurant located in the fisherman's village of Las Terrenas. The elegant decor reflects the owner Denise's French influence, creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere. While the service is usually top-notch, it can slow down during busy times. The Victorian-style restaurant offers a Mediterranean-inspired menu with consistently good dishes, such as delicious octopus and specials.
My favorite restaurant in las terrenas, delicious French dishes and great service. 10/10

We visited them in the off-season the waiter was so friendly and lovely. We had the octopus as a starter, dorado as a main - Both great!

This place is deceivingly good. The food was excellent with a decent selection of wines, and all at very good prices. Yara and Kelvin did a great job taking care of us with very professional and friendly service. We will definitely return.

Delicious, unique dishes that did not disappoint. The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking. We sat right on the beach, listening to waves crash as we enjoyed our meal. Everything we had was fresh and well made. The servers were very attentive and friendly, giving us their best recommendations and undivided attention. Overall, it was very reasonably priced.

This place was better than we expected, food wise The waitress was new so pretty lost, the tostones were great and my wife loved caprese salads

This was one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything came out hot and in a timely manner. The shrimp raviolis were amazing! My grouper was so tender and the flavors were amazing.
Jill L — Google review
The service was great being that it was only one person as the waiter. They brought the food out in what looked to be a small bowl but it would not end. I left on a full stomach and decent food.

Dreamy ambience and great service. We ordered curry chicken and fried vegetable rice. The food was very delicious with all spices in it. A well maintained place by the beach and romantic candle light tables.

Experience a slice of France at Boulangerie Francaise, a charming French bakery in Las Terrenas. Indulge in freshly baked pastries, heavenly baguettes, and aromatic coffee for a delightful breakfast. Despite some maintenance concerns, the bakery offers well-made and delicious items. The friendly staff provides fast service and the option to enjoy French pastries and light fare in a beautiful setting. However, be mindful of potential smoke due to the allowance of smoking on the premises.
That coffee shop is so cute! We went there twice when we were in Las Terrenas. The coffee and pastries were really good, and the staff was friendly. You should totally go if you're in the area looking for coffee.
Iranmy — Google review
Delicious baguettes and sweet pastries, paired with an excellent location to enjoy a morning coffee. The perfect spot to start the day.
Oliver H — Google review
Good pastries. Our favorite is the croissant with tomato and cheese. The only problem is they take a flaky croissant and stick it in the microwave as if it was a PopTart or some Hot Pocket, which somewhat ruins it. Some of the local staff have trouble listening to instructions and seem bothered when you walk in. It is noisy there, and there is constant harassment from vendors. So if you can avoid all mentioned above, the pastries are good.
Dave H — Google review
I looked forward to going to this place every morning sitting having a great cup of coffee, great breakfast and fresh pastries. Highly recommend !! And I can’t forget the staff warm, friendly and they make sure they take care of you. What a great experience.

the best almond croissants i have ever had in my life!! OMG - you need to go there for those. the lorraine quiche was also amazing and the baguettes perfects. Everything is a must try!! We went for breakfast both days we were in town.... and will come back

👍🏽Loved the bread here. My concern is that service is HORRIBLE, the guy who attended us wasn’t delicate while serving our plates, always with a grumpy face + he was talking on the phone saying horribles things to someone. 💰Cash only.

The hotel is exceptional, offering excellent service and a wide range of activities. Aside from the contemporary and cozy rooms, guests can enjoy various amenities such as a hammock on the balcony, invigorating hot showers with multiple massage options, an ironing board and iron, individually controlled air conditioning, a large flat-screen TV with numerous channels, as well as a radio, digital media player, and alarm clock. The establishment also boasts a jazz lounge, pool, restaurant, bar, and casino.
Wonderful hotel, great service, and lots of activities to do at the hotel besides staying inside the modern comfortable rooms. All rooms had hammock in the balcony, hot water showers available with multi options massaging shower head and huge rain shower, ironing board and iron, ac individual controlled, flat screen tv with multiple channels available, radio, digital media player, & alarm clock. The hotel had jazz lounge, pool, restaurant, bar, and casino. Will definitely make a trip back just to stay at hotel and check in early and check out late. Was a little hard to find, google maps doesn't show you the proper entrance but staff willing to assist when you call for directions.

Fellow Canadians and travellers; do not stay in this hotel. Savoy/ Niza. I found cockroaches in my room as well as bugs in my sheets. I don’t believe the carpets have been cleaned in years. The paint is chipping off the ceiling and walls. The rooms smell like mold. Their is no hot water. The disco plays music until 5am so with all the other issues and the pounding music until 5 am this is not up to Canadian standards.

I've been here twice and gifted a stay to my friends for their 22nd marriage anniversary. With that being said it's more than obvious that the word is spreading. We are planning a couples retreat with a few more friends. Excellent and budget friendly place with superb accommodations. Very modern chic and up to date l. I love this hotel.

Restaurant
Ristorante La Dolce Vita in Las Terrenas offers a delightful dining experience with its delectable cuisine and refreshing drinks. The attentive waiter ensures that patrons are satisfied, while the elegant and tranquil atmosphere sets the perfect mood for relaxation. This establishment is highly recommended for those seeking authentic Italian food. The appetizer Pulpo with bacon is remarkable, and the shrimp fettuccine and steak with mashed potatoes are equally delicious.
The Bruschetta as a starter with Ravioli as the nameplate was delicious. The atmosphere is good, was there earlier around 6:30 PM before the dinner rush. There is seating inside and outside, the wait staff was very attentive. Parking is on a busy street and there are fans that could be turned on at the tables. Food came out relatively quickly.

This is our number one restaurant in Las Terrenas. Food always great. Service excellent. The manager Andrea is very friendly and understand your needs and prepare it with the best way. My self and my family always want to go there when we are in Las Terrenas. We tried most of the dishes on the menu. Non of them was disappointed

My absolute favourite restaurant in Las Terrenas!! Authentic and flavourful food, with a nice interior and lovely host. The portions are not massive however they make up for it in quality and richness, this is the best place to go in LT for Italian food!
Nicholas A — Google review
I have the good Fortune to have property in LasTerrenas, and travel there multiple times a year, and never ever miss a visit to La Dolce vita! This is one of the broadest and most authentic menus in all of Laos. It is true Italian to the core, write down to the plates, style of service, and the wine list. It’s an acquaint, and clean atmosphere, are directly across the street from the beach. The owner, and staff are on their game with every aspect of the guest’s experience. I’m not a big meat eater, but I never miss the opportunity to have their fire roasted ribs and grilled vegetables. Some of the best in the world! This is a must visit. You will not be delighted!
James V — Google review
Nice dining option a short walk from town centre. Good service, clean area, missing my first 2 wine choices but still managed to find something to consume. The carpaccio was good, needed some olive oil, lime and pepper for my taste and all the arugula was hidden under the carne. The salmon was a little overcooked but had delicious flavour with a nice vegetable side. Definitely will be back with friends.
Tony B — Google review
Restaurant is better than average, but the main issue bringing down my rating is consistently underseasoned food. Service and atmosphere were good, but the food lacked enough salt and this made most dishes that we ordered taste a bit bland. 3.5 stars.

L'industrie Pizzeria LT is an exceptional pizza place that offers remarkable service. The hostess/waitress is incredibly helpful, answering all queries and providing recommendations. The service is prompt, and the chef (possibly the owner) personally crafts the delicious pizzas and greets guests with a "bon appetite." The pizzas are generously topped and bursting with flavor. These thin-crust pizzas are satisfying without leaving you feeling overly full.
Located in the heart of Terrenas, Samana, this pizza place is a true gem. The pizzas here are nothing short of amazing - juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. From the first bite to the last, each slice is a burst of culinary delight. With a perfect 10/10 rating, this place is a must-visit for pizza lovers in the area.

Relaxed ambiance where you are greeted and catered by the owner a delicious pizza!! Good quality, fresh ingredients, great taste, good service, fairly priced. Only cash payments accepted. Don't miss it if you are looking to eat pizza at las Terrenas!!! It's open 7 months a year, closed during the owners holidays from September to the 1st of December.

Quality ingredients really make a difference. I love the thin, crispy crust, spicy salami and always a smile. Best pizza in town IMO, you need to try it, then eat it again, then 1 more time just to be sure 😁.

I came down to visit from New Orleans. So, being from a place about good food, I wanted the best. My boyfriend found this place and it did not disappoint. Some background: it was the day after Christmas, we parked on the street since parking was hard to find, and it was lunch time. We got two pizzas. He got a pepperoni and I got the Margarita, two iced teas (it’s common with lime instead of lemon like in the states), and coke. I ordered a side of marinara sauce since I like dipping my pizza. The price was fantastic for the quality of food. The server was an older woman and very friendly and attentive. The head chef also is Italian and worked in France and New York. He made everything fresh and we were served quickly. I’d say less than 20. I absolutely want to come back next time I visit.
Maria M — Google review
By far the BEST PIZZA and service in Las Terrenas!!! The pepperoni pizza was covered in delicious flavorful slices and the margarita pizza was very cheesy with the freshest basil I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in the door the owner was very welcoming and seated us immediately. Don’t think twice about deciding where to go. L’Industrie Pizza is it!

I don’t like pizza! However my son said,”Ma this is the best pizza in the world!” So I had to come all the way from Washington state to taste this pizza…. I loved the Ambience of the restaurant and of course Eric‘s wonderful wife Susie, who greeted us with love! Did I say I hate pizza! I love this pizza! Eric Blew my mind with how great his Crust is, thin, Crunchy… but.. the amazing part.. is that I ordered the CRAZY.. who puts honey on Pizza! Eric does! He thinks out of the box and has spicy with sweet! A very humble man who puts flavors together like a genius! This is a must have while your on vacation! I bet you will never see pizza the same way!

The pizza was so good! The crust was perfect! Great service. We enjoyed the size and vibe of the restaurant. Highly recommend!
Meagan P — Google review
Absolutely wonderful pizzeria with superb attention from hostess/waitress. She answered all our questions and made suggestions. Service was quick. The chef (maybe the owner I presume) makes the pizzas himself and wished everyone there bon appetite as the pizzas got to the table and he suggested using different spices on the table for added taste. I felt the pizzas were full of the toppings asked and were very tasty. These are thin crust pizzas which you can eat on end and not feel full. There's a great variety of pizzas. We felt very comfortable eating here. Menu says cash only, but prices are acceptable for the attention and food you get. A definite return when I'm in las terrenas. *warning* the pizzeria is in a plaza and parking is scarce and tight inside. Street side parking is available.

I loved their Passion fruits salmon. OMG, is delicious!!! Those grilled veggies were awesome as well. This place has great environment! The owners cares for the place, the service and his customers. Pizzeria Raffaele is located on Calle 27 de Febrero, near the Las Terrenas monument. While it doesn't have its own parking lot, there's street parking available. You can choose to dine in or get your pizza to go. The pizzeria offers a taste of Naples with its traditional oven and outdoor cooking. Although the seating may not be the most comfortable, the freshly baked thin-crust pizzas make up for it with their passion and flavor.
This is the MOST authentic Italian pizzeria in Las Terrenas. Super fresh ingredients, thin, yet fluffy and chewy dough. Cooked in a wood fired, stone pizza oven. I have eaten at every pizzeria and Raffaele is as good as it gets outside of Italy 🇮🇹

Simply the best pizza in town! Owner is from Italy and he take his pizza seriously. On average we eat there twice a week. Tried their 4 Stagioni, Diavola, La Popy.... All very good!

This used to be our favorite pizza place in Las Terrenas. It seems they have a new owner. The service is not the same as before, no customization options anymore. The pizza itself isn’t as good as it used to be. It had many black spots on the bottom, almost burned, while the dough wasn’t fully cooked and not crispy at all. You couldn’t eat it by hand because it was too soft and floppy. From my point of view, there was also too much cheese. Looks like we’ll have to find a new favorite pizza place.

Real Italian making real pizza from scratch. Had few pies, loved them all. Their spicy olive oil is amazing on the pizza. Wait staff friendly, just a little slow. For the most, Wait staff in DR is very slow in general. The places I have better, quicker and more helpful attention are mostly when Owners or managers are on the floor. So it's their culture to have a more relaxed time than the guests.

Day 2

North side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Playa Las Ballenas, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Playa Escondida. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Playa Las Ballenas

Public beach
Playa Las Ballenas is a serene and unspoiled beach, perfect for those in search of tranquility. Meanwhile, Playa Coson Beach is renowned for its breathtaking sunsets and strong waves that attract surfers. On the other hand, Playa Popy Beach is popular among families and water sports enthusiasts due to its calm waters and numerous beach bars.
Clean sand, azure water and stunning views - that's what catches your eye first. Here everyone will find something to their liking: you can relax on a sun lounger with a cocktail in hand, play volleyball, go water skiing or just enjoy swimming in the warm sea. 🌊 The beach is long, and it has both lively areas with bars, restaurants and beach clubs, and more secluded places for those seeking peace and quiet. 🌴 By the way, pay attention: in some places there may be seaweed, but this is a seasonal phenomenon. I advise you to walk along the entire beach to the lagoon - you will discover many beautiful views, and at the same time admire the old and modern villas. 🏘️ Playa Las Ballenas is popular with both locals and tourists, and this is not surprising! This place is ideal for families and friends. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 #PlayaLasBallenas #LasTerrenas #DominicanRepublic #beach #relax #sea #sun #sand #lagoon #villa #bar #restaurant #entertainment #beautiful #mustvisit

Best beach in Las Terrenas overall Ian’s that is saying something!) Calm, clear water, white sand, near shore shallow water reefs that are fun for snorkeling. Great for families. Has restaurants along the beach road and on the beach itself and places to rent water sports equipment. Plenty of palms for shade.

Love this beach! It is a more quiet beach (except on weekends, when parties tend to happen). In my opinion, to becomes prettier the further west you go, and ends in a quiet cove. It has a number of beach restaurants where you can grab a quick bite for lunch, and one of my favourite places for pizza is down near the west end (Chiringuito). It is a quieter area to rent on, and is usually our choice on Airbnb.

El Mosquito Art Bar is a popular spot among locals and tourists alike, thanks to its prime location near the ocean and vibrant atmosphere. Incredible cocktail bar! By far the best in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic. The food is delicious as well, we have been 3 times so far working our way through the menu & specialty cocktails!
Sergio E — Google review
Unfortunately, our experience at this bar was once again very disappointing. This is actually the third time I’ve experienced the same biased and classist treatment here. Today, I decided to give them another chance because I genuinely enjoy the atmosphere but I regret it a thousand times. The staff shows clear favoritism toward certain guests, treating others with slow, dismissive service as if they’re not worth their attention. They’ve truly let the good vibes go to their heads, and it shows. Sadly, this will be my last visit.

Cool bar with nice atmosphere. Cocktails are delicious and the staff is friendly. A bit disappointed with my dish, but the rest of our party enjoyed the food so 4+ stars instead of 5. But anyway, this is one of the best places in the area for sure!
Natalia P — Google review
I have never had a worse experience at a bar in my life. I came here with friends expecting to have a good time, and for the first hour everything seemed fine — we ordered drinks, chatted, and spent money like any other customer. Then, completely out of nowhere, a staff member approached me and told me I had to leave because I was wearing Crocs. Let me be clear: no one mentioned any kind of dress code when I walked in. I had already been there for an hour, ordered multiple drinks, and was minding my own business. If there truly was a “no Crocs” policy, shouldn’t that have been addressed at the door — not after they’ve happily taken my money for an hour? The way it was handled was unprofessional, humiliating, and made me feel completely unwelcome. I’ve been to bars and restaurants all over the world, and I’ve never once been singled out over something as petty as footwear, especially after already being seated and served. The staff’s attitude was rude and dismissive, and they clearly had no interest in resolving the situation with any kind of courtesy or common sense. If you care about being treated with basic respect, avoid this place. There are plenty of other bars such as Etno and Babylon around the area that will appreciate your business regardless of whether you’re wearing Crocs, sneakers, or whatever else. This was an embarrassing and frustrating experience, and I won’t be returning!
Juan — Google review
The place looks cozy. The bar is very cool with loads of different spirits. Very were on a budget trip so we only had a drink there. (From what we saw they served really small portions and the food is really overpriced). On some of the tables the chairs are too tall for the table so you sit a bit weirdly. But for a special occasion it would probably be a nice place to spend the evening :)

Playa Escondida is a secluded and picturesque beach located between two small capes, accessible through a short 25-minute hike from Las Ballenas beach. The path to the beach may seem hidden at times, with some obstacles like tree trunks that can serve as stairs for the fit adventurers. Once you reach the beach, it feels like your own private paradise due to its seclusion.
Playa Escondida is very secluded beach. You can visit it from the nearby apartment complex or via small dirt road. Once there it feels like it’s your private beach because no one is there. It’s a little paradise in the paradise 😊

What a great beach!! The water is warm and shallow, with a sandy bottom. There isn't much parking but enough and shady too. There are places to buy drinks and souvenirs and chairs and umbrellas if you eat at the stands. Macao Beach is to the left/north and there are more people there but at Escondida there are fun rock formations to explore and it's shallow enough to really explore. Fisherman are at the end with their boats and you need to stay out of their way but overall it's a beautiful spot and great fun. There are lots of butterflies all around

La Vita E Bella is a popular Italian restaurant with stunning views overlooking the sand. The timing of arrival is crucial, as it can get busy quickly. The food at this establishment is exceptional, with perfectly cooked grilled fish and delicious langostinos with spaghetti al olio. The staff here are friendly and helpful, offering reasonable prices for their dishes.
Very good service. The pizza "La Vita E Bella" tasty, I recommend it, and to finish a dessert that I really do not remember the name, but I'll leave you a picture; is delicious and is authorship of the owner, so you will not see it everywhere. 100% recommended!

The good: • We arrived at a perfect time and were seated immediately. 30 mins later was packed and people were waiting, so get there at 8pm the latest. • The view was unbeatable. Right on top of the sand. • The food was exceptional. My whole grilled fish was cooked to perfection, and my wife’s “langostinos” with spaghetti al olio was excellent. • Everyone was extra friendly and helpful. • Prices were reasonable. The not so good; • There are few better things that a Presidente (beer) “vestida de novia” (dressed in white), but the beer was warm. • The appetizers lasted over 30 mins to arrive and the bruschetta has only two very small pieces. For some reason, people were coming in after was, they ordered pizza, eat and left and we were still there. Next time, we’ll order pizza!!! We will be back!!!

We ordered pizza and 2 calzones and they were very well seasoned. Our dining experience was lovely, fresh ingredients that you can taste, friendly service and AWESOME atmosphere. The place is sitting right by the beach. The only thing that separates you from the water is few feet of sand and some palm trees. Finally, as we went back to our car, our server ran towards us to return my credit card which I forgot in the restaurant.

Hotel Playa Colibri is a laid-back accommodation with a beach bar and restaurant offering free breakfast. The beach bar, El Loro, is part of the Alisei Hotel and provides a relaxing spot with sunbeds and seating for guests to enjoy during the day, transforming into a lively beach club with a DJ at night. Guests have praised the hotel's picturesque setting, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Playa Colibri. The service was excellent, and the included breakfast, while not fancy, was quite good. The beach is just a short walk away, which was incredibly convenient. The tiki bar cafe on the beach served delicious food, at least from what I tried. However, I can't give the hotel a full 5 stars. While the rooms are equipped with everything you need, they are quite outdated. This outdated feel can sometimes make the rooms seem less clean, even if they are well-maintained. The overall hotel structure also appears old and could benefit from a refresh to improve its visual appeal. Despite these issues, the excellent service and great location still made for an enjoyable stay.

The place was exactly like the pictures, but even better! The staff was friendly and personable. The accommodations were just perfect. It was like living the dream life on the beautiful uncrowded beach with friendly people from all over the world. The water was see-through and warm. The entire place was sparkling clean. I wanted to improve my Spanish and everyone was so willing to talk to me! I can't say enough nice things about it! It was my first time out of the U.S. and now I wish I lived there!

We only used the restaurant, but on frequent basis during our stay. Mostly due to its location and large tables on the beach. Food was average and so are prices. We were unlucky only once to get wrong order and have bad service - most of the days everything was ok. Fair selection of foods and drinks, but you may need to wait a while before you get served. We tried hamburger (no difference between angus and national, so we sticked with cheaper one), ceasar salad (which was nothing special), calamari fried and grilled (got them cold), chicken breast file (which my kid loved),... It is very convenient that they also serve on the beach at sunbeds! We loved this.

Visiting with a couple of friends in playa Bonita and happen on cayuco restaurant. We loved the atmosphere that we could sit with our feet in the sand and listen to the water. We ordered our foods and all three of us loved the food, super pleasant servers and yummy pina colada, had to ask for little alcohol as they are very generous would like to thank all the servers who were super awesome, they are in no particular order Augusto, Oskar, Jonny, Gregory, Juan, and not to forget Chef Jeronimo. Thank you Cayuco for making the food part of our vacation so pleasant and tasty. Highly recommend this establishment. Coson Beach is a prestigious and popular destination in the Dominican Republic, known for its long sandy stretch lined with palm trees and clear waters. It's home to all-inclusive resorts and luxury hotels, making it a favorite among tourists. The beach offers fantastic seafood dining options and breathtaking sunsets. While it can get crowded during high season, visiting early in the morning allows for a peaceful experience without crowds or mosquitoes.
My favorite beach in December. Waves not too big for kids so it’s family friendly. Not a lot of people. Public beach cleaned probably as it’s also partly used by a big hotel. Plenty of beautiful sand and palm trees.

Coson (32000, near Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic) is a beach that captivates with its pristine beauty and atmosphere of tranquility. ✨ This beach is a real find for those who are tired of the hustle and bustle and dream of being alone with nature. 🌴 Here you will find an endless coastline covered with soft sand, azure waves gently caressing the shore, and coconut palms creating a pleasant shade. ☀️ Coson is a unique beach that has retained its wild nature. There are no crowds of tourists and loud music here. 😌 Just you, the ocean and the sky. 🌊 Of course, there are several private villas and one beach club restaurant on the beach, but they do not violate the general atmosphere of privacy and tranquility. 🏡 If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, enjoy the silence and admire the beauty of nature, then Coson is the perfect place for you. 👍 Highly recommend! #Coson #LasTerrenas #DominicanRepublic #beach #silence #privacy #beauty #nature #relax #recommend

This is one of the best beaches in the area. I particularly like it in the summertime when the waves are small. If you go in the winter time there a larger waves which is good if you like surfing. This is a beautiful Long Beach that sells for many miles spend the whole day exploring. There are a few restaurants along the way including Luis’s restaurant. This is probably one of the most popular beaches in this area I highly recommend you check it out.

Gorgeous beach, its very long and often empty, we had it to ourselves! The water is beautiful and calm and the cold current of Coson river meets it at some point, so its very nice!!! Also the white sand feels like a carpet, very thin and soft! You can take very pretty photos here specially with the palm trees!

Super super nice beach. Without the seaweed this is in my top three beaches worldwide. It is very quiet but not dangerously quiet. There's two or three restaurants to choose from (my favourite being the reasonably priced one at the far east of the beach), and multiple roads to reach the beach. The best road is the one leading to Caffè Coson and you can use a moped easily. It's a beautiful beach with a nice curve, mix of wave strengths (be careful, there's extremely strong currents in some places), palm trees, and a river that changes shape every day. When I went (Dec 2022) there was a bit of seaweed (like everywhere in DR) but seemingly not as much as Playa Bonita. I recommend you set up camp near the river somewhere - you can get there on two wheels if you're a confident rider!

This is one of the most amazing beaches in the area. If you are on the west side of this point there are some very shallow waters and calm and which Eastern wind is blocked. So whenever there is a wavy day or a windy day coming from the east which is the normal here you can hide out on the west side of this point and swim calmly and tranquil. This is an amazing natural quiet place there are no roads there are no vendors there is one little typical restaurant. Nature is at its fullest here to me it’s the most amazing beach in the area and no matter where you are walking from it’s worth it.

One of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic! It's called Punta Bonita for a reason. There is a public parking lot nearby and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The punta is a few more minutes walk but worth it. There were not many people when we were there. No chair, tent, or food service available.

Beautiful beach I keep returning here it’s one of the Dominican Republic best kept secrets and I hope it stays that way. One of the few beaches where sales people don’t hound you and no high pressure sales situations here.

Sol & Fresh is a delightful eatery that serves a variety of healthy and nourishing dishes. Despite a mix-up with an order, the staff kindly provided a complimentary curry and juice as an apology. The atmosphere within the restaurant is charming, and the employees are exceptionally friendly. The menu offers delectable options such as omelets, avocado toast with scrambled eggs, smoothies, pancakes for dessert, and visually appealing salad bowls.
Best healthy foods restaurant in Las Terrenas. I'm a regular and enjoy the different dishes and juices. Plus its a quiet and zen oasis in the 'downtown' area. They do delivery through Komida but close at 16h00.

best place for vegan options! We would have gone out to eat every day we would have found it earlier :) Fresh, vegetables not overcooked and the whole place is super clean. We ordered different bowls, müesli, Smoothies, Vegan Hamburger and Avocado Toast and everything was so yummie!

So grateful for this healthy food option amidst LT’s somewhat redundant food scene. The burrito bowl and vegan burger were yummy and the juices were refreshing. I also appreciated that the restaurant offers gluten free options- a rarity here!

Mixed up the order. Instead of Indian curry with tofu, I got rice with chicken, and I don’t eat any meat, so it is important for me. However, food is good. Especially juices and poke bowls. * Update: As an excuse for the mixing up my order, guys offered a curry and juice for free. I think it is very nice. Thank you!

GetTheGringoBurger is a restaurant located near the famous Las Terrenas letters on 27 de Febrero street. It's a small place with parking for two-wheel vehicles, so it's recommended to find car parking nearby. The restaurant offers open-air seating, allowing guests to enjoy the Dominican weather. Visitors can savor delicious burgers and Pina Coladas while sitting by the beach with an ocean view.
Been there today. James is a really friendly and attentive guy. We didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. The burgers were really tasty. If you come here, try the cajun fries! 100% recommend!

This is another place we were told to come for the burgers. 🍔 The burgers were good, and the location is nice… right on the beach. 🏝️ We ordered the Jack Daniels burger… great sauce!! We had the breakfast burger and it was super good, but when I cut it in half, my half had no bacon 🥓 😢 We also got a chili dog which was pretty tasty but man it would be perfect with some jalapeños on top!! The fries were fresh and delicious. We would come here again because… Just good burgers 🍔💛 Warning for those disabled … the chairs are only the high ones …and the arms are narrow for big behinds 🍑 We wanted to sit on the beach but had to sit at the bar for the chairs with no arms. Also super important to note: they only take cash!!!

Beach
El Portillo Beach in Las Terrenas offers a serene escape with its calm warm waters and fine white sands, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the picturesque surroundings. The beach provides opportunities for various activities such as diving and snorkeling. Nearby, visitors can explore other stunning beaches like Punta Bonita and Playa Las Terrenas. The area also boasts an array of dining options to savor typical dishes and refreshing drinks.
My favorite beach in Las Terrenas. The water is crystal clear, the beach was empty during the week in June. We didn’t want to leave! There’s no parking but you can park next to the road (be careful as there’s a construction site on the other side of the road with a lot of trucks coming and going).

That is not 5 star hotel at all. 1.Rooms have technical problems- Ac, electricity, water leakage…. 2.Towel station is just one, instead of two. Near kids pool which is located far away from beach no towels, but originally there was station which is currently is not operating. So complicated to get towel if your room will be near kids pool. 3.Food is great. 4. Evening entertainment program is mostly karaoke, or singers, no big show on stage. They definitely should invest in evening entertainment making nice shows. 5. So many different music playing at the same time close one to other. It cause discomfort, cacofonía, especially at the evening. 6. Be careful at the beach to leave valuable staff including crocs and hats, purse. Our crocs and bag was stollen. 7. Bar station at the beach may ignore you forever unless you give them money. 8.Bring US dollars, they don’t like CAD. 9. They definitely should teach staff at the restaurant to speak english at least basics. 10. If you need something like coffee or spoon…better go and take on your own, they hardly interested in assisting. 11.Kids evening program is just on Spanish, so if your kids don’t speak Spanish they will not understand. 12. Water sport station is strange. Katamaran cost 70 US unless you may operate it, then it is free. Kayaks could be taken just after 11.30 because their safety boat is not there dew to commercial tours. At water station workers is not friendly and not happy to see anyone unless you pay or spanishspeaker then definitely they serve you.

Restaurant
Le Tre Caravelle is a restaurant inspired by Christopher Columbus's journey to the New World, featuring decor based on the three ships used during his expedition. It offers a varied menu of Italian and international cuisine, including grilled imported meats and fish. The interior is adorned with pirate-themed decorations, while the terrace provides a cozy atmosphere with views of the Atlantic Ocean at sunset. Guests can savor authentic Italian dishes, fresh seafood, and Mediterranean flavors while enjoying a picturesque setting overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
This is am excellent restaurant all around : Food, atmosphere and service. We were a group of 21 people, from 6 to 81 years and all were very pleased. Pastas, Seafood and desserts are all A-1. Service is superb.

We went for lunch after it was recommended to us and both ordered the fried red snapper — but honestly, it could have been a piece of cardboard and we wouldn’t have known the difference. It was tasteless and extremely dry, which was a real shame considering the very high price of the dish. The chips and salad were good, though. The restaurant doesn’t have air conditioning, so I wouldn’t recommend going during the day as it gets unbelievably hot.
CarolineML — Google review
What a delightful experience from the service to the ambiance and most definitely the delicious and beautifully presented meals. Unfortunately the caprice salad was so appealing I ate without taking a photo. But the gnocchi in tomato and eggplant sauce smothered in cheese and my companion’s dorado fish in wine cream sauce were photographed before we thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Hats off to the chef for deliciousness and outstanding presentation. Also to the extremely professional serving staff. Will definitely return.
Lillian D — Google review
Beautiful ambiance, but the food falls short of expectations, especially given the high prices. For what’s charged, I expected much better quality. Also, please consider printing menus; I’d much rather read from paper than find out on a screen that a steak costs over $40.
Melissa C — Google review
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, as it was near our Airbnb. While the food was satisfactory and the service was welcoming, the ambiance felt somewhat out of sync with the serene charm of Las Terrazas. The establishment seemed more aligned with the dining scene in Santo Domingo, though it did not quite meet the high standards of the capital's better-known restaurants. In terms of price versus quality, we found the offering somewhat unbalanced for the area.
Oliver H — Google review
Great option for Las Terrenas. They serve Italian (Pasta, Risotto and Ravioli), Fish, seafood and beef. We ordered Mahi Mahi (Dorado) carpaccio 👌 , shrimp pasta 👌, and grilled Lemon Mahi Mahi 😐
Juan P — Google review
My hotel manager who checked me in recommended this place. I had generally normal expectations. I chose the crab pasta and I was told that I could choose any salsa but that the cream salsa would mute the delicious taste of the crab. I was skeptical as most places when they say is tomato salsa. It's very plain stuff. When I said this is one of the best pastas I've had all year you could taste the juice of the crab, the wine, fresh tomatoes. I absolutely devoured the dish not to mention that their capirinha's are top notch as well and for the price hands down 10 out of 10.

Restaurant
Restaurant Luis in Coson is a hidden gem in the culinary scene of Samana, serving delicious Caribbean dishes and seafood daily from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Situated directly on Playa Coson beach, it offers more than just dining; it's a destination for a day of beach enjoyment. The restaurant is not your traditional establishment but rather a hut on the beach where guests can savor fresh fish or lobster with cold drinks while soaking up the seaside ambiance.
I’ve been going to Luis’ Restaurant for about 10 years, and they are still just as amazing as the very first time! The grilled fish is always perfectly cooked, and the rice and beans are delicious, comforting, and full of flavor. The quality and consistency never change — it truly feels like home every time I eat here. Friendly service and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere make it even better. A true favorite that I’ll keep coming back to for many more years!

Luis has moved his restaurant from the beach. Now the restaurant is 500 m on the road . The new restaurant is well indicated. I know Luis for 12 years. The food is mainly sea food. Prices is for middle class Dominican and above. But you get quality food for the price. The staff is nice. Very clean toilets. The restaurant is an open roof style . I recommend to any person looking for Dominican receipts with Dominican fishes.

Service was slow. They didn’t have everything on the menu. A couple people from our party got sick after the eating lobster from here. Needless to say the lobsters were very expensive. Based on the reviews and their menu we were excited to give them a try but we were unfortunately dissatisfied with our experience.

A hidden gem. There's nothing fancy about this place but if you want an authentic Dominican outdoor restaurant this is the place. Off the beaten track but very popular amongst Dominicans and I can see why. Whether its chicken or fish, you won't be disappointed. And if you want fresh juice, you won't get any fresher than the machete wielding coconut chopper who will crop off a fresh coconut for you and add a straw for your enjoyment. And the pineapple juice...yes! They cut it up and juice it for you. Playa Coson is the place to be surrounded by mountain views and just down the road from Playa Coson beach💖

Perfect clean beach side friendly local eatery. They bring out the fish to show you prior to grilling it to perfection from head to tail with cheeks still soft. Fries good. Veggies good. Salad was basic. Pricing in December 2016 was whole fish, fries, grilled veggies, salad, two beers = 800 DOP (walk from wyndam hotel or sublime residencies about a 15 min walk west along the beach... Perfectly safe and clean)

Restaurant
The accommodation host enthusiastically recommended Ristorante Tio Belo, an Italian restaurant that had just reopened. The service was excellent, as we were promptly offered a refreshing welcome drink and a slice of bruschetta while waiting. We savored the delectable tortellini alla vecchia Modena and my husband indulged in the scallopine di maiale with gamberi al Ron and two portions of chips which were both flavorful and plentiful.
Very nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was of very good quality and portion sizes. A complimentary bruschetta to start the meal and a complimentary liquor to end it was a nice touch. We went three times on our two week stay. Highly recommend.

The food is good but not great, and the prices are on the high end for restaurants in Las Terrenas, so there's a disconnect between the two. The waiters provided outstanding, professional, and friendly service. REPLY TO OWNER: I found that your prices are generally 10% to 15% higher than other restaurants in Las Terrenas serving the same dishes with imported ingredients. Please take my review as constructive criticism and an opportunity for improvement, and also note that there's nothing wrong with higher prices as long as the quality and taste of the food are on par.

Good atmosphere. Prices on par with other good restaurants around Las Terrenas. The pasta on my wife was sadly undercooked (less than Al Dente). At the end 3 stars as the 3 ladies in the restaurant were non stop doing their hair (tying/untying - especially the lighter skinned one), I was really surprised I didn’t end up with hair in my food

2025 - always delicious food! Had scallopini with lemon sauce… so good. And the sautéed veggies with garlic were awesome. Hubby had linguini with truffles and loved it. The bread was so fresh and yummy, and the coffee tasty. Really great Italian food! We heard that they were under new management and decided to try again. Excellent food, great service and cozy atmosphere. They brought some bruschetta and a small glass of white wine when we arrived. Then I had the tortellini in sage butter, and although a bit too al dente for me (like it a bit softer), it was delicious! My husband had tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffle… he loved it. A fun chocolatey twist to their tiramisu. An offered chupito (small after dinner shot) was delicious… we chose a liquorice flavoured one, which we both loved. One of our new favourites!

Hotel Atlantis is a charming Colonial-style property located in the heart of Las Terrenas, just minutes away from the stunning beaches of the Samana peninsula. The hotel offers bright rooms and suites with European standards, some featuring ivy-covered exteriors. Guests can enjoy a bar and dining experience with a menu filled with fresh seafood and gourmet options.
I recently stayed at Hotel Atlantis in Playa Bonita, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a genuine smile that set the tone for the rest of my stay. The location is simply stunning—nestled right by the beach with breathtaking views of the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying my morning coffee on the balcony was absolute paradise. The hotel grounds are impeccably maintained, with lush greenery and a peaceful ambiance that make it the perfect getaway. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless. The attention to detail was evident in everything, from the comfortable beds to the well-stocked amenities. It felt like a home away from home, but with a luxurious touch. Playa El Morón is the starting point for the pristine and secluded beaches of Samana. It offers resort-style beach services, making it a great choice for those seeking convenience. However, if you prefer untouched natural beauty, there are other breathtaking beaches nearby. The area is a hidden gem away from typical tourist spots, providing an ideal Caribbean experience with its pristine sands and clear blue waters. Visitors can enjoy peaceful solitude or adventure in this tranquil haven.
Completely virgin beach. Locals cut some coconuts down for us. You have to learn to overlook the plastic washed on the beach. It hurts to see it I really wish the local government would do something about it. But otherwise, a beautiful place.

Playa Morón is one of the most peaceful and underrated beaches in the Samaná Peninsula—a true hidden gem. Surrounded by lush greenery and gently swaying palms, the beach offers golden sand, calm turquoise waters, and a serene, untouched atmosphere that's perfect for those looking to escape the tourist crowds. There are no large hotels or developments here, just a few small local food shacks and fishermen’s boats, which adds to the authentic Dominican charm. It's an ideal spot for swimming, relaxing under a tree, or walking along the wide, quiet shoreline. The access road is a bit rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, but the effort is absolutely worth it. If you're visiting Las Terrenas or El Limón, don’t miss Playa Morón—it’s the kind of beach you dream of when you picture the Caribbean at its most natural and unspoiled.

Great beach. The water was clear and got deep quickly. I was told the waves can pull you out so be careful with that. I didn’t experience it when I swam there so just be mindful if you go out and can get carried away while swimming. I had my swimming goggles and saw many fishes. I was surrounded by more than 100 little curious silver fishes. The water is cold and refreshing. There were barely any waves when I visited. There is a hotel there on the cliff overlooking the ocean, there was no one there when I was in the water.

Fantastic beach, take your ATV on the coast from LT and enjoy huge waves and beautiful views, the waves are big be careful

Beautiful beach we were the only ones there until a local passed us by on a horse who was super nice and went on his way. There is a road that leads you to a walking path directly to the beach its about a 2 minute walk. You do lose service on the way. The beach was clean suprisingly after the semana santa week which gets crazy

Sports club
Sporting Club Las Terrenas is a popular spot for expats and locals alike, offering a range of activities and events. The club hosts various social gatherings and activities, making it a great place to meet new people. Additionally, the facility boasts top-notch amenities such as Pickleball, padel, soccer, taekwondo, a gym and pool. Visitors can also enjoy delicious Italian cuisine at the on-site restaurant.
We were a couple who likes traveling. We decided to go for the root of cafe in the mountains visiting the “jungle” in a 4x4, and Erick was our guide. The tour was amazing! Erick was professional, kind, and great with us. He helped us with everything we needed and made the experience incredibly enjoyable and exciting. We highly recommend him!

I booked this place for the entire month in Las Terrenas, and it was a fantastic experience! We played pickleball regularly and made great use of their gym facilities. The staff is incredibly friendly, and their snacks and drinks menu is excellent. You’ll need to download their app to book the court, which was super easy to use. A special shoutout to Romina, the manager—she was exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Plus, they’re pet-friendly, which was a huge bonus! If you’re working remotely, their Starlink WiFi at the café is reliable and fast. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great mix of sports, relaxation, and a friendly atmosphere!

We only go for activities for the kids and too many rules for the kids. They have a little playgroud very controlled and the generator exhauster faces the kids playground. Prices are high for the quality of the place. Food is nit that good neither.

Front desk employee was very rude. She got upset with me for not knowing the procedures of the place, although it would have been her job to inform me about the procedures. Customer service -100

Great idea for a town like Las Terrenas! 👏👏 Super facilities, including Pickleball, padel, soccer, taekwondo, a gym and pool, and an delicious Italian restaurant! Great atmosphere and helpful, friendly staff. Only suggestion would be to add a roof over the Pickleball court so it could be used during the day as well (getting crowded).

Cigar shop
Mundo Puro is a small cigar factory in Las Terrenas, where visitors can witness the handcrafting of Dominican cigars. The shop offers a wide variety of both local and imported cigar brands, including their own house-made cigars which are highly recommended by many customers. While the staff may encourage sales, visitors can enjoy learning about the cigar-making process without feeling pressured to make a purchase.
Amazing small cigar factory where you can see the product being made right in front of you. I never smoked cigars before but got a few here and enjoy their light variant. No aromas added, except for the vanilla flavored cigarrillos and priced between P90 (for the unlabeled bargain bin ones), P260 for a Churchill and P430 for a Gordo. Also sells a massive variety of local and imported cigar brands.

I had an excellent experience at the cigar shop in Las Terrenas. Marco, the owner, was very friendly and helped me choose the right cigars. I bought some, really enjoyed them, and came back for more. (Translated by Google) We were 3 families and did the whale and Haitian excursions. Even though we really liked the whales, the Haitises were our favorite with a trip that alternates between fast and slow boats and visits to caves accompanied by good explanations and a good meal (and a little rum of course! ). So a hit for the excursions organized with Stéphanie.

We did Los Haitises and Les Baleines, the 2 days our guide was Dani who is an exceptional local guide with many years of experience behind him and speaking French very well. He will not fail to tell many anecdotes about the Dominicans and their country in the midst of your expeditions. On the boats you will not be crowded compared to many other tours who want to fill their boats as much as possible. Manati Water Sports Las Terrenas is a popular water sports center in the area, offering activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, and kiteboarding. Visitors can also join guided tours to explore the natural beauty of the beaches, forests, and other attractions in the region. Guests have enjoyed kayak tours along the coast and into mangroves where they had the chance to see manatees. The guides are praised for their easy-going approach and extensive knowledge of the area.
These guys are AMAZING!!! MANU & MANUEL took us on an amazing excursion through the Mangroves of Coson and then snorkeling in Playa Coson. We had a great fruit bowl and coconut biscuit snack. Manuel caught my 9 yr old how to paddleboard and even climbed a coconut 🥥 tree and got us some fresh coconuts. We will return and spend the day with these guys on a longer excursion when we return to Las Terranas.......

We cant recommend enough Manati Water Sports. We did two tours and use their kayaks several times. The tours were simply amazing, with so much beautiful and unique nature to discover. The first tour we did was around Portillo, for about 3 hours. The scenery was amazing and gives a different perspective of the beautiful nature in Samana. Our second tour was the Mangroves tour, which we did with our 2 and 5 years old kids. This tour is ideal for kids. Our oldest loved it and even got to paddle on his own. Our youngest also enjoyed and was safe in the kayak. Pinto and Manu are really friendly and there to help and provide interesting explanations along the tour. In summary, when in Las Terrenas, it is definitely a must!

Eden Beach Club is a charming beachfront bar and restaurant that exceeded expectations. The food was of high quality with reasonable prices, and each dish was beautifully presented. The drinks were exceptional, prompting a return for dinner. The service was commendable, with staff even going the extra mile to ensure a memorable experience. Despite the persistent beach vendors, the overall visit left a positive impression.
Feb 2024 We visited the beach side area twice during our trip, first trip was for a snack and drinks during sunset .. we returned the next night as the service from our Waiter Charlie was above and beyond. I had the pleasure of spending an unforgettable day at Eden Beach Club, and I hasten to share my impressions! This is truly a paradise where you can relax your body and soul, enjoying the gentle sun, turquoise waves and first-class service. The first thing that conquers in Eden Beach Club is, of course, the magnificent beach. Fine golden sand, like silk, caresses the feet, and the crystal-clear water beckons with its coolness. It is important to note that there are many who want to enjoy this splendor, so I advise you to come early to take the best sunbeds. But even if all the sunbeds are occupied, do not worry! In Eden Beach Club you can rent cozy bungalows that will provide a comfortable stay in the shade. The prices for renting sunbeds and bungalows, by the way, are quite adequate and will not hit your pocket. I would also like to mention the high level of service. The staff at Eden Beach Club are true professionals. They are friendly, attentive and always ready to help. The order was brought very quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. The bar list was pleased with the variety - here everyone will find a drink to their liking. Cocktails are just amazing! Bartenders are masters of their craft, skillfully combining ingredients and creating real masterpieces. In general, Eden Beach Club left the most pleasant impressions. This is an ideal place for those who want to spend time on the ocean shore in an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. Excellent service, delicious drinks, a beautiful beach and reasonable prices - what else do you need to be happy? I will definitely come back here again and recommend it to everyone!

I found this cute beach front bar and restaurant and went in with average expectations for a day at the beach. Well, food was really good, reasonable prices for a beach front restaurant. The quality was actually pretty good, and I was surprised by the nice presentation of every dish that was brought to the table. Drinks were on point. The taste was amazing, I even came back for dinner later. The service was good even when they changed shifts our first server came to let us know and introduced our new server. Thinks to try: 1- Pasta with shrimp and Vodka. 2- The fry fish Las Terrenas stile. 3- Churrasco a la Parrilla (Grilled Churrasco) 3- The mojitos 4- Presidente beer

Absolutely the BEST food, drinks and service in Las Terrenas on the beach, comfortable and quality beach chairs, clear beaches, just perfect!
Jessica S — Google review
We came here for breakfast on our first morning on the island. We sat at a table on the beach (there are tables on the other side of the road, too, with more of a restaurant feel versus a beach bar on the beach side). Our server was friendly. Service was a bit slow but after a week here, I realize that is typical. The food was a 3/5, even though we were hungry. We were hungry (having spent over 15 hours traveling the day before to get to the DR it was our first real meal in over 24 hours). I didn’t like the bugs, it was kind of a bother. But they are everywhere on the island so that isn’t unique to this place. Can’t speak to the food outside of breakfast, or the bar/night scene since we weren’t there for that. We didn’t go back for anything else during the rest of our trip, if that says anything. With so many places to try, both along the beach and in town, this one just wasn’t worth going back to in my experience.

Whenever we are in Las Terrenas we stop here for Tiramisu and cappuccino. This time we also ordered cheeseburger sliders and fried calamari’s. Food was delicious. Table by the beach with a great view. The staff here is always friendly and attentive. The only draw back was the smoker sitting next to us. No fault of the restaurant though.

Great views and an extensive wine list. I’d like to give them more stars but this was not one of our best experiences. One of the best wine selections in town though so if you just want wine this is a great place. To start I ordered the calamari which was good and my wife being gluten free attempted to order the three things in appetizer list she could eat but they were out of all the items. The waitress came back three times to let us know. The wait staff were super friendly and sweet it was not their fault. I ordered the home made ravioli and she ordered the tuna steak. She likes hers well the waitress kept telling her no medium three times my wife’s said well. The tuna came out pretty much rare. That’s how I like it and good thing because my ravioli never came. My wife ate the outside of the tuna that was cooked better and I the rest. We have had great food in Las Terrenas this was not one of them. We have noticed a trend most of the foreign owned locations where food is obviously chef inspired and presented seem to be the most consistent. I’m not sure but my guess is XO is locally owned with less oversite of the menu and service. We would go back but just for the wine and the view.

La Bodega Bar is the ultimate destination for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant Dominican culture while enjoying a lively night out in Las Terrenas. Nestled in a charming two-storey wooden colonial building just steps from the beach, this bar boasts an electric atmosphere filled with infectious Latin rhythms like bachata, salsa, and merengue.

I was single male touist seeking dance. I am experience dancer but not bachata which is what they played there. The 3-4 nights I went there, a bunch of single tourist girls( with minimal dance skills) showed up with their 4-5 instructors. These guys had the laddy's heads spinning and they had no interest in me. Couples had a good time there. There were a few prostitues that I had to contend with. I tried dancing with them but they expected me to leave with them so I had to stop that.

Excellent people dancing in Paradise. I was there Super Bowl Sunday and was lucky enough to catch the music and go along for the ride. The drinks were cheap and the women are all beautiful. It is possible to dance with someone from Italy, Germany, Brazil. DR, and then Israel all in one night. The energy is pure and the vibe is refreshing and something you should not miss. The best hotels on the beach within a short walk.

Open air disco/bar plays a variety of latin music with the usual array of bachata, salsa, merengue and reggaeton. Great DJ and reasonable prices for drinks. The action doesn't start until late.... around 11pm. The size of crowd varies according to the tourist season. Occasionally they will have animators who put on a dance show and will round up members of the audience to participate. Can be lots of fun when tourists are in town and the place is almost full. Nest of all, NO COVER CHARGE! 😊👍

Typical place in Las Terrenas. Be ready to dance and sweet! The dancers are very funny! Just be aware of them if you are a young pretty pretty girl!!!

I loved this place. They play Dominican music and there are dancers willing to dance with you and/or teach you how to dance.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Las Terrenas, 180 Grados Restaurante & Lounge offers an elegant dining experience that is perfect for both business meetings and romantic dates. With a spacious interior complemented by an inviting outdoor area featuring a swimming pool, this restaurant creates a beautiful atmosphere for guests. Specializing in fish and seafood, the menu boasts an impressive selection of sushi alongside creative dishes like grilled chicken on mashed potatoes and fettuccine with shrimp in oyster sauce.
Great restaurant in Las Terrenas, not beachfront but on the main street of the beach area. The food, the atmosphere and the service were great. The restaurant is located in front of the Amare Residences. We ordered the ceviche and the mix of sea food with yuka. Both delicious. Also a desert made with corn, this one was fantastic. The chef also came to welcome and suggested some options from the menu. Strongly recommended.

Disappointing Experience — Card Compromised After First Use I visited this bar on a Friday afternoon after a relaxing spa treatment at Zen Vida. My friend and I decided to grab two piña coladas. The staff was still prepping for opening, and a woman with long hair said we could go ahead and order. She called over another female bartender to make the drinks. The bar itself was very busy with two other male staff members behind it, and there was a lot of commotion as they seemed to be preparing for a pageant or event later that day. Once we got our drinks, I asked for the check. The bartender took my brand-new Capital One Venture card behind the bar, and I waited a while before she brought it back. I didn’t think much of it at the time — we were enjoying the music and the atmosphere, and I even left a tip on top of the total. But this is where the issue began. That Friday was the very first time I had ever used this new credit card. On Saturday, I saw an odd $0.02 adjustment. By Sunday, a charge alert came through from Shein — an online clothing store I have never used — for $121.47. Between the loud music and my weak Spanish, I couldn’t make out everything being said behind the bar, but I definitely sensed something was off. Sadly, I now believe that’s when my card information was compromised. It’s extremely disappointing to have something like this happen inside what appears to be a beautiful, upscale community. I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, I now associate it with theft and dishonesty. I won’t be returning — and I urge others to be very cautious with how their payment information is handled here.

Excellent food. Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent service. Chef Lucas and Sous Chef Nicole prepare delicious food, delivered in awesome presentation. Mike and Pedro at the bar were friendly, and make very good drinks. The servers are all very nice and friendly. The menu is creative, and diverse. We ate grilled chicken on a bed of mashed potatoes, fettuccine with shrimp in oyster sauce, and a smash burger. All were delicious, and perfectly cooked. The brownie sundae with ice cream was also very good. There is an adjoining pool, and the bar will serve you in that area as well. Awesome place!

I went there with my family of 6 for the first time and wasn't totally impressed. The restaurant is really beautiful but, the ambience was blah, kind of boring. It was missing live music or something more upbeat. When it comes to the food; it looked better than it tasted...it was missing seasoning. Additionally, my cousin and I ordered our steak medium and it came black and blue, we ate a bit and left the rest. The service was good. Our server was bilingual and was knowledgeable of the menu. I would still recommend it since they just opened perhaps they will get better with time. Lastly, close by you can visit a better restaurant, Porta...it's a 10/10 in ambience, service and taste.

Love, love, love this place! Beautifully decorated. The food is very good. I went for the Dominican Bowl more than once, I must admit. Staff is also great. The Moscow Mule is a must!!! Made with a fresh ginger juice.. I must have gone to this place about 6 times in one stay.

We had dinner here twice this week, both times very friendly staff and excellent food across seafood and steaks. Our favorite in Las Terrenas

We went for pre-drinks. We requested them not to be overly sweet and got fulfilled - something we do not take for granted in DR! Everything we ordered was delicious: Mai Tai, Piña Colada, Belford and Moscow Mule. The location is modern, sophisticated englobed in a beachy vibe. The service is extremely attentive and kind. The place is only 2 month open and we wish the best for the most elegant restaurant and bar in Las Terrenas.
