Gardens
Nestled in the heart of Roseau, Dominica Botanical Gardens is a sprawling 40-acre expanse known for its lush tropical flora and fauna. Established in 1890 with the assistance of botanists from Kew Gardens, it offers a delightful retreat for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can marvel at the Sisserou parrot, witness a variety of imported trees, and encounter over 50 species of indigenous plants seamlessly integrated across two distinct sections.
Visited Dominica Botanical Gardens in 10/24/25. The ground was a little muddy & there was a big Dominican cultural festival going on so it was good to see some locals and be able to sample lots of the local cuisine and juices . This is a free attraction to don’t especially but it is a nice place to graze and be surrounded by pretty flowers .

Wasn’t much of a Gardens. Was more like a park. Was sort of kept up. Few flowers or special plants. Had some old beautiful trees. Interesting walk up from the Cruise ship pier. No ticket required.
David C — Google review
Large variety of trees and flowering shrubs from Caribbean and elsewhere. Some are labelled. While not highly manicured or a fancy design with formal gardens or statues and fountains, this is a free admission nice place to relax and explore. While uncrowded and spacious, we saw a good number of people enjoying the park, Moms with kids sitting on benches (wish I could sit here with my dear Mom), people recreating, etc. We enjoyed this park and checking out the fine trees young and old. It’s easy to walk here from your lodging in downtown Roseau. Dominica thanks for providing this nice garden.
GT H — Google review
This was an excursion from the cruise terminal in Roseau Dominica. the drive there was very interesting with busy narrow roads and some steep hills. Lovely trees and a parrot compound but not much of gardens with flowers, more of a park than anything, and of course the bus under a tree. The view from the Morne Bruce above was beautiful as was the view from the cruise ship.
Aaron A — Google review
We enjoyed the trail from the botanical gardens up to the top of Morne Bruce known as Jack’s Walk. See scan code in pics.Beautiful view of the whole city and ocean. Walk took us about 30 mins. with lots of stops to rest as it is quite steep ( we are in our 60’s ).
Charles D — Google review
Our tour guide gave us great information about many of the plants. It is very interesting and worth a visit. It was so lucky there weren't any school children on the bus at the time the tree fell during a hurricane 😳
Julie L — Google review
An array of beautiful plants. It's a most visit on your trip to Dominica. Nice place to have a picnic in the middle of town. Try it! Get some local food and just vibe out amo g the trees. Yes! It's free!
Purnel J — Google review
A lovely display for tourists and locals alike! Sadly, our visit here was rather short due to being part of a cruise excursion, more time would have been nice. We did get to walk among the shady trees and see some native parrots. Fascinating to see the tree that fell years ago in a hurricane with a bus still under it. Lots of fun and unusual trees and plants.

Fresh Market

Supermarket

Pharmacy
Fresh Market is an upscale grocery store chain with a charming old-world atmosphere. It offers a wide range of products, including local produce, prepared meals, and a selection of wines. Customers can find everything they need under one roof, from everyday items to specialty products like Pierre Marcel red wine. The store also features a hot counter with delicious options like mac & cheese. Additionally, Fresh Market provides pharmacy services on the first floor with European standard and friendly staff.
When my cruise ship, the Queen Mary 2, docked at Roseau on 30 Dec 2024, my eye was immediately attracted by this modern store right on the waterfront, so I decided to check it out and I’m very glad I did. The ground floor consists of a clean, very well stocked, well air-conditioned and attractive supermarket offering just about everything you might need or want, meats, fish, packaged groceries, including many U.S. and British brands, and appetizing take-out food, which regrettably I did not sample because the Queen Mary 2 fed us very well and discouraged her passengers from bringing local food back on board. Shame. Upstairs there was a very well stocked European-style pharmacy, where a very friendly and helpful employee led me to the things that I needed because I had forgotten to pack them before setting out on this cruise ! They even carried the diabetic cough syrup that I needed. This store was a godsend and a very first-world shopping experience. Prices were very reasonable from a tourist’s point of view.
Parigino48 — Google review
This is probably the closest to an all-in-one modern store in Dominica where you can get groceries, toiletries, and household items to meet all your basic needs, including pet care, stationary, cosmetic and hygiene products, basic kitchen tools, and pharmacy items. There are nearby parking options and the building is recently built with AC and electrical facilities like automatic doors, cashier systems that take debit/credit cards, and automatic conveyer belts. There is wheelchair accessibility and lots of American and English products. There is also a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and some locally made items for sale throughout the store like produce, meats, juices, teas, breads/pastries, honey, and cosmetics and traditional items like smoked meats and provision. I would say this is the most convenient/practical store for shopping for all your needs on island.
Jasmine L — Google review
Nice market with a pharmacy on top. The market has a wide selection of local and imported foods and beverages. Prices were fair. The upstairs pharmacy had prescription drugs as well as over the counter. This is a huge display of hair pieces for women.
Gordon C — Google review
It’s extremely expensive. There’s a serious lack of variety when it comes to fresh fruits and vegetables. The place is mostly filled with junk food — that’s what dominates the shelves. You can easily walk out of there having spent 100 US dollars with barely anything in your shopping cart, lol. The only real good deal is the makeup — that’s honestly the only thing worth buying there. That being said, it’s convenient on Sundays since it’s open while most other stores on the island are closed.
L- O — Google review
One of the best places to get needed grocery and pharmaceutical supplies. It's all in one place. The parking can be a challenge but it's close to the bayfront, so parking might be available depending on the time. Lots of bakery items!
Purnel J — Google review
I needed a few snacks for my hotel room. This is a grocery store and had some good choices. Got what I wanted and didn't spend a fortune. Being only a couple of blocks from the hotel was convenient.

The Dominica Museum, located in Roseau, the capital city, offers a vibrant display of cultural and historical artifacts. The museum provides an overview of Dominica's history and its people, showcasing the island's French Creole culture influenced by neighboring islands like Martinique and Guadeloupe. Visitors can explore informative displays on Kalinago and Creole culture as well as the slave trade.
A good starting point to exploring Dominica. Small museum, but you still learn a lot on this small island nation. I went to the island for the jungle and outdoor activities, but now I'm clued up on all the history. I also very much enjoyed the volcanic exhibition and being educated on the plate tectonics of the Caribbean region. This took up a large part of the museum. Also the staff were cool. Typical Caribbean - breezy and friendly. They gave out the WiFi code readily, and we were glad to have it at the time. That, and the air con. The museum is located in the main port in Roseau and was cheap too. Definitely worth a visit
Alan E — Google review
Small and informative local museum providing an overview of the founding of Dominica. 5$ us entrance fee.
Al W — Google review
We enjoyed our visit here. Head up the stairs to the 2nd floor and pay the posted $3 US per person to enter (I see another review says $5 US so maybe there are seasonal differences?). Staff quietly pleasant and welcoming enough. The exhibits are not fancy but provide a good amount of information on Dominica’s history, culture, people, geology, and flora. There are historical photos, artifacts like a dugout canoe, and art. To me, the creators have done a wonderful job of providing info in summary form fit for a wide span of audience interests. I believe that most folks will spend 30 to 60 minutes here. Please check out my photos herein.

Morne Bruce Viewpoint

Upon arriving in Dominica, it is highly recommended to start your journey by taking a stroll up Morne Bruce, a small hill located just outside of Roseau. This easily accessible and breathtaking viewing area offers unparalleled views of the city and the surrounding mountains, making it an ideal spot to get your bearings on the island. To reach the summit, you can take the Jacks Walk track, which may be short but requires some effort due to its steepness.
Morne Bruce is an old hill overlooking Roseau. You can either hike up a steep pathway or on the road by taxi. The expecting views from the top are awesome.
Repi N — Google review
Morne Bruce Viewpoint is a beautiful spot overlooking Roseau. We hiked here from the cruise port—about 40 minutes, passing through the botanical gardens. It’s hot, so bring water and sunscreen. With maps and internet it was easy to navigate. Stunning views, and we met cruise passengers who came by paid tour.
Marta S — Google review
Awesome view of the city from here. Take the jacks walk trail from the botanical gardens instead of the tour bus!
Jeff K — Google review
Very good (and high ) viewpoint to look down on the Capital City of Dominica - Roseau. Lots of vendors selling their wares and lots of tourists taking pictures with their cruise ship. Good for the view - just keep your visit short . Or go here for sunset !
DavPru — Google review
This is my favorite spot on the island --easily accessible, natural, scenic, quiet (most times) and just a place I enjoy going to be alone, pray and relax.
Althia B — Google review
Last stop before we left for the airport! Great view, wonderful island. Planning on returning.
Mark L — Google review
Great photo stop! You can see the whole harbor from here and the cricket stadium.
Ariel R — Google review
On a trip to the Botanical Gardens, I decided to venture to the Jack's Walk Trail. The trail started off great, however the higher up you go, the harder it is. It's about a 20 minute hike. The view was fantastic all the way up. At the top you would see the details about the fort on a sign and the very beautiful religious monument. At the top, you could choose to go down the trail or you can walk past the monument about 5 minutes from the fort and you would see a road that takes you back down to Roseau.

Papillote Tropical Gardens is a must-visit destination in Dominica. The gardens offer a delightful stroll amidst tropical plant and animal life, including the chance to spot hummingbirds and perfectly camouflaged stick insects. Visitors can also enjoy the sight of waterfalls and hot volcanic pools within the lush surroundings.
This place is still recovering from hurricane Maria, but it is beautiful. The care given is unbelievable. Every nook has another interesting flower. The lodge is just open again and the gardens are soon to follow. Anne let us peek in early. She is a wonder. This is definitely an amazing place. I'm posting just a few of the literally hundreds of photos I took.

Visited with my family, ordered 3 chicken shawarma wraps and 1 mixed lamb and chicken shawarma wrap.. Found them to be dry. Chips were ready 10 minutes after our main food.. and wasn’t very nice if I’m honest. Asked for hookah / sheesha which is advertised and told they don’t do it, and was told to go upstairs to the bar.. and they didn’t do it either.. and said to go back downstairs.. odd. Next time we’ll go straight to KFC round the corner.

Limited seating and plenty of locals. Prices are in XCD so lunch for me costed about 10 USD. Menu has decent variety from shawarma to burgers to pizza. I'll probably want to explore more restaurants before coming back.

Located in downtown Roseau, Old Stone Grill and Bar is a charming eatery that offers a tranquil and relaxed dining experience. Situated near the waterfront, this trendy restaurant boasts a stylish decor with an abundance of green plants, stone walls, and vibrant red accents. The attentive staff ensures excellent service throughout your visit. With an enticing menu featuring delectable seafood, chicken, pork, and various local dishes, there is something to satisfy every palate.
The Great Old House (formerly Old Stone Grill) was warm, welcoming, and delicious. When other places couldn’t seat us, they kindly accommodated us. We sat outside on the balcony, and the setting was perfect. I had grilled chicken with jerk sauce, rice, and salad—so flavorful. My friend’s BBQ ribs were tender and delicious. Great food and great service.

When we came here, the restaurant was out of most of the items on the menu. A question would be answered with "let me find out" and a disappearance of 15-20 minutes. When the food arrived, it was decent, some parts edible and some parts better. Serving sizes are generous. Service is standard Caribbean time slow / relaxing pace. Room is simple, not decorated nor elaborate.

I’m not sure if I should be posting to the Old Stone Grill and Bar or The Great Old House (same place). The name has no effect —the food is lovely, the balcony gets the perfect breeze, and the service is helpful and friendly. Some folks note that they are often out of things on the menu. It’s an island and the food is fresh. You get what’s good, and it is. Be prepared for large portions. The mains come with two sides and that would be plenty for me. That said, the appetizers were also very good and plentiful. Love the fish cakes! Spicy fries are a treat too.

This place is by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at on the island. You will not be disappointed. I mean service is great, the food exceptional. It is not a fast food restaurant so if you are looking for a quick meal, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for culinary experience--you have found a gem in this place. Friendly staff and that goes for the owner Steve as well. I ate here for the 1st time in March and knew that when I visited again I would return. Tonight I did with my mom and brother. We were not disappointed.

Beaches
Mero Beach is a unique stretch of silver-gray volcanic sand located in Roseau, Dominica. Despite not fitting the typical Caribbean beach stereotype, it offers warm and calm waters, making it a favorite among locals for Sunday beach barbecues. The area provides amenities such as toilets, showers, concession stands, and nearby restaurants. Just a short 30-minute drive from Roseau, Mero Beach can get crowded when cruise ships dock at the nearby terminal.
We had a great time today! The water was perfect. We rented two chairs and an umbrella for $20. We ordered beers and food from the restaurant, and the husband was happy with the food portion. It was an almos 30 min drive from port. Today was a holiday so there was no traffic.

Lovely beach - probably one of the best ones on this west coast of the island, certainly until you get north of Portsmouth. Low key with some beach bars and sun lounger vendors and a small road running behind. Everything you need for a pleasant day out at the beach.
Mike C — Google review
One of the few sandy beaches in Dominica but was lovely. Rented a Sun bed/lounger for $10 each. Great food on sale and fresh fruits also available. The shower facilities were not available when we were there as they had turned off the water but still lovely experience
Go A — Google review
Definitely visit Mero Beach! The black sand is stunning (wear water shoes—it gets hot), and the water is the perfect temperature and beautifully calm. Plenty of shaded lounge chairs, friendly local shops with fair prices, and such a relaxing vibe. We went twice and will absolutely return!
Lindsay L — Google review
The beach is clean The sand is sugar fine. It’s hot. On a sunny day, you walk on the sand as if you’re waking on a scalding hot iron plate. The water is oil it the current is strong. Comparing with established beach destination in Asia, the amenities here are too basic. 2024.11.15

Larger beach, a lot to huts to shelter from the sun. I chose to come when it was raining because my time is pretty short. I recommend it, looks lovely and the coconut tree covered shaded would be awesome.
Andy S — Google review
Nice clean beach, great sunset if you stay until the late afternoon, couple of bars serving drink and one serving food. Popular but never too packed, so definitely worth visiting
Mervin A — Google review
A fantastic friendly beach with a great chilled vibe, it's got a couple of different bars to get drinks and food. You can park easily and get beach loungers with parasols for shade, the sea is warm with a sandy bottom and the sunset is amazing. Absolute paradise.

Restaurant
Located in the historic French Quarter of Roseau, just a short distance from Fort Young Hotel, lies The Great Old House eatery. This renowned establishment is famous for its exceptional indigenous Creole cuisine, which features the lively flavors of the island. Upon entering, patrons are transported back in time to an era of timeless allure and genuine authenticity. The menu showcases the freshest locally sourced provisions including meats, fish, and seafood.

Terri G — Google review
Great place. Name of restaurant did not match but we found it. Food choices were varied but a few of the menu items were unavailable. Everything was fantastic. I would highly recommend and would most definitely return. The staff were super friendly and provided excellent service.
Matt G — Google review
The Great Old House (formerly Old Stone Grill) was warm, welcoming, and delicious. When other places couldn’t seat us, they kindly accommodated us. We sat outside on the balcony, and the setting was perfect. I had grilled chicken with jerk sauce, rice, and salad—so flavorful. My friend’s BBQ ribs were tender and delicious. Great food and great service.

The service was awesome, our waiter mario was polite and made us feel at home. The food 😘wonderful. Def worth a 2nd visit .
Marchelle B — Google review
When we came here, the restaurant was out of most of the items on the menu. A question would be answered with "let me find out" and a disappearance of 15-20 minutes. When the food arrived, it was decent, some parts edible and some parts better. Serving sizes are generous. Service is standard Caribbean time slow / relaxing pace. Room is simple, not decorated nor elaborate.

Accommodated the entire family with no notice. Great food and great times!

We had mixed bag, the curried goat was good the shrimp was ok but nothing special, they added a 25% service charge, which was crazy

Champagne Beach, located on the southwestern coastline of Dominica near Scotts Head Village, is a unique destination offering a fascinating underwater experience. This stone beach is renowned for its coral reef snorkeling and swimming in underwater thermal springs. Nestled within the Soufriere-Scott's Head Marine Reserve, this protected area remains unspoiled by human activity, providing visitors with a pristine Caribbean experience. The beach features black volcanic rock formations and palm trees along the shoreline, creating a picturesque landscape.
Champagne Beach offers peaceful relaxation with sun loungers under palm trees by the Caribbean Sea. There are two dive stations with kiosks. Entrance costs 5 XCD or 2 USD per day. The ticket also allows you to climb Scott's Head. I took the bus from Roseau (3–5 XCD each way) and sunbathed and swam barefoot in my swimsuit. If swimming is not recommended due to algae, a wetsuit is recommended for these days. You'll meet many tourists of all backgrounds there.
Private W — Google review
I visited Champaigne Beach at the beginning of October, stopping by after Scott’s Head Point. I had heard this beach has amazing snorkeling, but unfortunately the waves were too rough, so no snorkeling was possible that day. Parking is along the side of the road, and you take stairs down to the beach. The beach itself has a cool little vibe, but everything was closed when I visited. Still worth a quick stop if you’re in the area, but check conditions for snorkeling first!
Nichole P — Google review
We came here as part of an excursion and it was great. The champagne bubbles effect is wonderful to look at, and it's a very nice snorkeling spot, where you can see lots of marine life (underwater photos still on my action cam). Totally worth it!
André M — Google review
Unique spot to go snorkeling. it was a little rough getting in and out of the water as there are lots of rocks on the beach at the waters edge. However, the guides were very helpful in getting you in and out of the water and for pointing out the wildlife such as the stingrays in the water. The bubbles were amazing and very warm something you won't see anywhere else. but for the length of time it took getting in and out of the water and swimming to the actual champagne portion of the water, not sure it was worth it. The excursion included a drink on the beach and the weather was very accommodating, hot and sunny. There are 2 clean port-a-potties at the top of the hill. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with mobility issues just getting down the steps to the beach was an issue.
Aaron A — Google review
Did this with our 8 year old and 10 year old and they loved it. Need to go a little past the jetty of rocks to see the bubbles. Very rocky beach, so bring proper footwear to walk on the rocks. Once you are in the water, no issue with the rocks. Decent amount of coral and fish, which the kids loved, but the bubbles are the real attraction here.
Edward S — Google review
One of my favorite snorkeling spots!! The thermal bubbles or “champagne effect” were breathtaking. Unique coral/reefs and teaming with life. Owners of the little beach bar are so welcoming and friendly. The only downside are all the rocks! In response to past reviews there are currently 2 port-a-potties at the top of the hill now.
Kristin G — Google review
Champagne Beach itself is rocky. There is no bathroom and the changing area is fairly primitive. That said, Donny is great!! It was overcast & sprinkling the day we went out, but Donny was fun and knowledgeable. The reef was beautiful and there was a lot of sea life! Also- try the spiced rum!! (4 stars for lack of bathroom) This is a fun, laid back adventure!

Tour operator
Wacky Rollers (WRAVE LTD) Dominica offers a variety of tours and excursions that provide unforgettable experiences for visitors. The Trafalgar falls and Titou Gorge tour, as well as the Trafalgar falls and hot springs shore excursion, are highly recommended. Visitors praise the knowledgeable guides, breathtaking scenery, and opportunities to immerse in local activities such as trying Kubuli beer.
We booked an excursion through RC cruise line and Wacky Rollers was our provider. They were wonderful. We were all over the place in an open air bus (with seatbelts). The driver did great! The staff was friendly and the adventure was memorable. I would book again! Our tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable, especially in the waterfall area—-he went above and beyond there with assistance.
Mrs. F — Google review
Our family went on a Wacky Rollers day tour during the last week of 2024. It was a water adventure, offered by the cruise ship we were on. We were in a passenger van, roughly 7-8 pple plus our guides, Ash and Jeffers. Ash gave us information about the island and answered a myriad of questions, and Jeffers drove the van and kept us safe in the water. (Thank you both!) They are excellent guides. We walked through a forest preserve, went snorkeling over Champagne Reef (underwater thermal features!), swam up an amazing cavern dripping with plants to see a waterfall, soaked in hot springs, and had delicious local food. There aren't enough exclamation points to do this tour justice. If you like experiencing water, or nature, don't miss this tour. We booked it straight from our ship. It's worth it! Don't let the name fool you. They do have fun, but they also know their stuff. I'm sorry I didn't bring a waterproof camera for the most interesting parts, Champagne Reef, and swimming up the cavern to the waterfall. The water was moving quickly in parts of the cavern and Jeffers swam ahead and sent back a rope so we could just pull ourselves along it. What an adventure! It's one of those "once in a lifetime" experiences.

Booked an excursion with them through Explora 2 and had an amazing experience with Ash and Devon at a slew of wonderful locations. Their energy, knowledge and passion shines through and I can't recommend them enough for exploring this beautiful island!

We had an awesome time with Ash, the Trainee (can’t remember name) and Greg (the driver). Way more than expected to get from this excursion (we booked it via cruise). Highly recommend this tour company. These guys puts in the extra effort.

We booked an excursion through Oceania Cruised and loved it. They were well organized and professional. A trip to Trafalgar Falls and then tubing down the Layou River. Well coordinated and staffed. Beautiful and exciting. We experienced some tropical showers and heard shouts of “liquid sunshine”. A fantastic island experience.

RIB Adventure (aka Zodiac Sea Safari with Royal Caribbean) was AMAZING. Got to see 5/7 sperm whales in the Seven Ladies Whale pod, PLUS a rare deep diving Cuvier beaked whale. No sea sickness on the boat; weather was immaculate and ocean was glass. Captain Dave and Cheston were the best guides. Very knowledgeable about the whales and friendly. The swim at the end of the tour was also phenomenal. Would absolutely go again.

Nestled along the enchanting waterfront of Fort Young, Palisades Restaurant is a true culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, this charming eatery beautifully marries Caribbean and international flavors. Guests can savor a variety of dishes crafted from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, including delectable pan-seared snapper and succulent lamb chops, all while soaking in the stunning ocean vistas.
We stayed at Fort Young and our Dinners were fabulous! The Lobster is so good and the roasted Chicken was also very good. Atmosphere was very good directly on the ocean. Only downside was the cruise ship does block the sunsets.

Good luck to those who get their food! 1.5 hours later and 2 cold (not intentionally cold) appetizers later and still no entrees. Everyone around us in the same boat. A lot to be desired. Only restaurant option open and a lot of infrastructure improvements needed. Great ambiance but poor execution. Good luck to all!

Liked to eat here every day. Good menu. Sunday brunch is popular among locals with BBQ chicken, fresh fish and salad, and freshly baked pastry. Fish cakes were good as an appetizer. The breakfast buffet is plentiful with a wide array of food, including bacon, sausage, scrabled eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola, etc. Full bar and wine menu. Fast service.

Cannot get a simple drink order correct. Ordered a glass of lime juice and a glass of tamarind juice. The waitress who took my order brought me a passion fruit juice. Smfh. I’m hoping my dinner isn’t as screwed up. Will update. I’m afraid after waiting 18 minutes and not being able to receive my drink order, I walked out.

Not consistent with the drink quality unfortunately. One day was amazing, one was not. The food is decent, the ambience is beautiful, but they put surprise allergies on things. Make sure you verify! The flan has coconut ice cream.

So far I've only eaten here during Sunday brunch, but it is always phenomenal! Every time I'm visiting Dominica, I plan to attend brunch here with family. We absolutely love it! The combination of local foods as well as other international dishes really makes it a treat. Kudos to the chef and kitchen team! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I hope to visit during other meal service in the future, but brunch is so worth it!

Waterfalls
Middleham Falls is a stunning 200-ft waterfall located in Morne Trois Pitons National Park, Dominica. It is easily accessible through a moderate hike that takes you through lush rainforest vegetation. The trail leads to the magnificent falls where water cascades into a refreshing pool below, inviting visitors for a swim. This hidden gem is one of the best-kept secrets on the island and offers an exhilarating experience as you cross rivers and hike through jungle terrain to reach it.
About a 45 min hike from the parking area. I would not say this is an easy hike but it is definitely not extremely difficult if you are slightly active. The hike is well worth it once you reach the falls!
Joe H — Google review
Incredible hike! Easy for regular hikers, a good beginner climb for new hikers tjay are looking got a mini challenge. It takes anywhere from 1.5hrs to 2.5hrs total. When wet, the climb down to the falls is a bit precarious, so it is recommended to wear good hiking shoes. The view of the falls is well worth the trip!
Carissa S — Google review
Very beautiful trail. The water fall is the tallest we saw in the island. However, you can only view it from a platform.
JD T — Google review
Nice hike in, roughly 45mins but not difficult. If you have knee/ankle issues take it slowly as the ground is muddy/slippy and with lots of steps. The bird songs are beautiful as you hike and there are crabs and lizards around. The waterfall itself is beautiful,.one to the nicest we have ever seen with a nice pool you can swim in.
Ciara W — Google review
Wow, what an incredible hike and reward at the end. Even though I'm pretty fit, I found this hike fairly tough. I was able to get my rental car all the way up to the lot but the roads are bumpy and under construction. I presented my weekly site pass, as well. Almost immediately, you cross a small stream with a few others along the way. For me, it was about 45 minutes straight up through rocks, logs, mud and roots. Then, about five minutes of flat walking where you’ll come to a head. Stay to the left and start your descent. About 15-20 minutes down, and it's very steep. At one point, after the wooden steps you'll hit a steam with large rocks. I almost couldn't tell where to go but you have to cross over all the large rocks and continue straight down, using your hands in some spots. Use caution on rocks near the waterfall, they're super slippery. Also, wasn't able to go down to swim. I wasn't clear which way and I was the only one there so I wanted to be safe. I wore regular tennis shoes but hiking shoes would've helped tremendously. Waterfall is stunning and the nature is so peaceful!
Jessica K — Google review
The hike in to the falls is moderate, but the last descent down to the falls is very slippery. Use caution and wear good hiking shoes. The falls are beautiful! Definitely worth the effort.
Brad W — Google review
Well maintained trail through mature rainforest with impressive buttress roots on huge kapok trees. Many birds including Jaco parrots, also saw land crabs and lizards. Note: at gazebo trail junction turn left to go down to falls.
Julie E — Google review
The Middleham Falls are really a magic place! It's not just the Falls, it's the way to get there. It's amazing to step up the hill and having all these stunning and different views over the jungle. You got to be a bit trained to do the way with the countless wooden steps, but it's worth it!

Lacou Melrose House is a charming restaurant located in the historic Melrose House in Roseau, Dominica. Run by a group of Montreal transplants, it offers a lovely and quaint atmosphere that transports diners to a Parisian street. The menu, presented on a chalkboard and influenced by the availability of fresh ingredients, features outstanding dishes such as accras and oven-roasted tuna. The restaurant also showcases its connections with local farms and families from which it sources its ingredients.
Most wonderful experience for my wife and I! We ate here on Feb 18, we arrived at 5p without a reservation and they graciously found us a cozy table for two. Our server was very attentive, professional, friendly and informative, she made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire meal. Highly recommend Lacou Melrose House! The food was amazing - the Banoffee Pie is a must! After the meal the chef came by to ensure we were satisfied and treated us like old friends.
Dan G — Google review
Very creative and tasty food here, we really liked this place. Started with the nice Lacou Punch drink, and a glass of wine. Had the fried octopus appetizer, nice tamarind sauce with pickled green papaya (wish they had bottles of it to sell) and pretty presentation… enjoyed it but it was not the nicest piece of octopus I’ve had, a bit small and slightly dry. Love marlin and I love schnitzel, but this is the first Marlin Schnitzel I’ve ever seen or had, creative, and it was beautiful on the plate and I enjoyed it, but made me wonder if marlin should be “schnitzeled” because it lost some of its lovely marlin texture and flavor, however it was good and the accompanying risotto was delicious. My wife had the goat steak and kindly shared some, we agreed it was the best prepared goat meat we’ve ever had, a nice crust and tender flavorful interior, we want all of our goat to be cooked here! Server was very nice, sharp, prompt, and unobtrusive, perfect. Nice decor and artwork. All very nice, and a good value. Believe that we could not get this nice of a dining experience and food for this price in the USA (card charge $118 US total by charging in EC $, see photo of bill), which we really appreciate. Highly recommend this establishment.

Our favorite restaurant of all of Dominica! If you are looking for upscale and comfortable, look no further Lacou Melrose House is where you want to go. Reservations are essential as they get booked up. The food was superb, service was polished, and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. They have some of the best wine on the island too, and it's stored properly in a wine fridge. We got to try breadfruit (fried) for the first time!
Lawrence H — Google review
I had an amazing experience at Lacou! No doubt it is the best restaurant on the whole island of Dominica. The Ambiente is cozy and private, you don’t even feel like you’re sitting in the middle of Roseau. The staff is very professional and friendly and I liked the fact that even the chef checks on his guests and always has a minute to talk. The menu varies a bit on a daily basis, I just couldn’t get enough of their food! Everything they serve is made of fresh local and economical products -> you can definitely taste that.. The prices are more than fair for what you get, you should definitely try the deserts if you eat there! The restaurant is gaining more and more popularity so if you’re planning on going for dinner you might as well give them a call to let them reserve a table for you! :) Enjoy your experience!

I think one of the best meals of my life. Marlin steak with risotto, amazing and filling. I also tried the phenomenal pumpkin soup, so nice and zesty and grilled maki-maki with sweet potatos, amazingly light meal ale the tastes are so well balanced. Perfection. Will come back.

I had a lovely meal here for my birthday. The atmosphere was very nice. And I enjoyed the food and drinks & I have to say, the waitress was great too! She was so friendly & had exceptional customer service. I would definitely go back.

The food is fresh, original, and decisively modern. For example, the marlin ceviche came with a passionfruit-based sauce. It was zingy, tasty and perfectly seasoned! The tuna tataki was some of the freshest I’ve ever had. While we were certainly impressed by the chef’s confident take on classic dishes, what surprised us most were the generous portion sizes. Lacou is undoubtedly a fine dining experience and we found it incredibly refreshing to see proper portion sizes. After a full day of hiking, we came in with a monster appetite and left satisfied.

The menu changes with the season due to the use of fresh local ingredients. Renowned for its Creole dishes, it's a haven for those seeking authentic Dominica flavors. The Saturday breakfast menu features accras, bakes, and cocoa tea that sells out quickly.
This is a great local spot. We were tired of cruise food and wanted a taste of local food. We were the only tourists in the restaurant, all local people. The food was delicious and the service great. The restaurant was very clean. If you are adventurous and want real local food come here

That’s place is known no locals! Food is very delicious and cheap! Do not expect nothing fancy inside but I came there for good food and I got it! I liked the service provide by nice woman - fast and nice! We took chicken curry 🍛 plus drink and we spent 21 dollars for all!! Highly recommend !

Best local restaurant in Roseau. Come during breakfast for their “Creole Breakfast”. The codfish fritters (accras) are also my favorite and only $1ECD each! Kind staff and great value. Will definitely return!!

Best breakfast spot in town !!!! Will definitely eat there again. I'm really upset I found this place sooo late. To update: I came back for lunch. This spot is a keeper. Plus they have barons pepper 💃

Cool ac plus awesome smoked chicken callalou. This is a must on a Saturday. They also make and sell a rum punch that does not disappoint.
Olivia O — Google review
Good local food. Cash only no AC on or fan. Plan to wait. As has been common during our stay even a short menu will have selections that aren’t available. The main pork was tender with flavorful gravy. Rice had beans salad and vegetables.

My go to place for lunch these days. I usually call to order and usually my order is ready by the time communicated to me. The food is always tasty and never disappoints. I would like to see payment cards being accepted and perhaps some parking (reserved) for patrons. All in all a fantastic place for food.

Bank
The National Bank of Dominica Ltd is not just a financial institution; it’s a gateway to the stunning natural beauty that Dominica has to offer. Nestled in this enchanting island, the bank serves as a reliable partner for both locals and visitors alike. Just beyond its doors, you can explore breathtaking attractions like Morne Trois Pitons National Park, where lush landscapes and diverse wildlife await.
Dealing with NBD and how slow they are for a bank should be a taboo. How can a bank be so slow with updating your account each time you make transactions. Imagine not being able to use your card because pending transactions are not balanced yet.

To the female security guard who told an elderly man who cannot walk and who parked outside in the disabled bay that 'he has too much privilege' I hope and pray that whatever is weighing you down in life God lifts you up from it and gives you his peace. Thank you to all the staff who made an elderly mans experience one to remember as the previous times have not been. Staff need to realise that they are employed to provide a service and not be rude off the bat. Customer service goes a big way for everyone and should not be given to those with money or in position. Be kind to others as you would like them to be to you. Ms Dana you were smooth with all the paperwork and most helpful and on time, Thank you ✨️ generally waiting times are horrendous. AVOID MONDAYS! Glad you have a public toilet downstairs.

Slow and arrogant customer service people, incompetent .very poor banking or card services
Smaug D — Google review
Horrible customer service. Average wait time is 90+ minutes. They got their feet tangled in red tape for even the simplest banking operation. Of all the countries I lived in and banks I dealt with they are the worst. They used to be great however, but since the CIBC deal it went horrible.
Benoit M — Google review
Terrible customer service. Rude rude rude. They treat their own people terrible and treat foreigners worse. They took fees for no reason....just made up fees. PUT YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Mindsets like theirs is why you will always be a DEVELOPING country. Keep spinning those wheels and go nowhere
Iriewife — Google review
I did some research about the bank and I found the services and application requirements quite easy for residents living abroad. I had applied for the personal bank account last year, and I kept following up with the bank about my application and approval ever since. Initially I was told that I could apply abroad through their online page (which I did). Later I was told that I should ship my documents through courier (which was another option I could try, NOT mandatory as they claimed). Finally they said that I should travel myself to Dominica in order to complete everything. Literally, they keep changing what they’re saying every time I call them instead of actually following up with the customers. Even writing an email to the officer responsible for the personal banking account department DID NOT help throughout the entire follow up!
Jude K — Google review
NBD's service continues to decline. They've introduced secure messages through mobanking; however, on more than one occasion transactions were not completed although an employee responded stating that they would complete the request. Additionally, too much time is wasted in line at the bank. Tellers are usually courteous, but some part of the system is not working well enough to allow transactions to be completed within a reasonable time frame. An appointment system is needed for those who prefer not to wait in line for loans, standing orders etc.

Friendly service and people. Absolutely delicious food. There were 6 of us and everyone loved their meal. We got lucky, there weren't many people so we got served quickly.

Great reasonably priced food for lunch. What they have available for dinner may be limited to quick-to-make dishes. Night life is always great here. It gets filled up quickly on the jazz and karaoke nights; smart to RSVP if you’re a 3+ group.

Upon arrival, the place looks welcoming. The staff is in no hurry to help you to seat you seat as you, please. However friendly and easy to talk to. The food is done within a reasonable time frame and looks presentable However the taste needs improving the owner should seat and have the kitchen prepare all meals and try them out. Chicken n fish fingers were overdone. The taste lacks spices and Amma stop there. So much potential which needs to be tap into.

Staff have bad attitude, No customer service, no manners, staff forgot to put our order in after 2 hours of waiting. When you come in and sit down, there’s no greeting and you have to locate staff by the bar to put in your food order. After doing this we sat down and waited for two hours we tracked down the staff again just to be told there is no ETA on our food and it could be another hour. Then the waitress proceeded to ask “why are yall sitting on a broken table” how on earth were we supposed to know the table is faulty.

Although the restaurant's location may not be ideal, the quality of food offered is exceptional. We ordered multiple dishes for our party of six, and each plate was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The owners, a young couple, put in tremendous effort to ensure our satisfaction. We would certainly return to this establishment! It was a delightful change of pace to enjoy Chinese cuisine, and the added bonus of an outdoor balcony overlooking the street provided a wonderful opportunity to observe life in Roseau pass by.

I am extremely fond of this establishment! They offer a wide variety of pizzas and are willing to accommodate any special requests. The preparation time is approximately 20 minutes, and in addition to their delicious food, they also sell refreshing locally-made juices. This place is wonderful, although it can get quite warm if you choose to dine in; opting for takeaway is a better choice. Ordering over the phone was effortless, and picking up the order in person was convenient.

If you're planning a trip to Dominica, look no further than Jay's Motor Rent A Car for your vehicle rental needs. The process of booking online is incredibly user-friendly and offers great prices. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by Jay himself, who ensures that the paperwork is completed swiftly so you can dive straight into your adventure. With a diverse fleet of well-maintained vehicles, including options like the Jimny, there's something for everyone.
Hiring a car with Jay's was super easy online, and came at a great price. Jay was onsite to greet us at 9am and the paper work was done quickly, allowing us to get on with a fun day exploring Dominica. On return, the petrol station round the corner from Jay's is convenient to top up the car, plus Jay was kind enough to give us a lift back to the cruise port. Best of all, we got to share the ride with Jay's four-legged assistant Prince who came along for the ride back to the ship! You don't get that with Avis or Hertz :) Really pleased to support an independent business rather than the usual big corporates.

Hired a Jimny late last night and had the confirmation a few hours later, arrived today shortly after 9 car was ready and waiting, Jay was great paper work filled out super quick. Returned after a great day exploring Dominica 15 minute walk from the cruise port right down the road would definitely recommend, have a great booking system online too easy to use, just remember to check your junk for the email.

I can highly recommend this car rental. Jay is fantastic, very good communication and they are very flexible. Close to both cruise ship piers, too. Avis

Car rental agency
When exploring the beautiful island of Dominica, Avis stands out as a reliable choice for car rentals near the Roseau cruise port. With an impressive range of vehicles from economy to luxury options, Avis caters to various travel needs. Many travelers have shared positive experiences with their seamless communication through platforms like WhatsApp, ensuring that any changes in plans are easily accommodated. Even in cases of unexpected delays, such as canceled ferries, Avis has shown flexibility and understanding by not charging for the first day of rental.
Was also a little bit nervous looking at the comments below. The service was, however, great. Had to change pick up time several times because of two cancelled ferries. The communication via sms and WhatsUp was seamless. They even did not charge me for the first day of rental, because of my two cancelled ferries. The cars are old, but reliable like all cars in Dominica.
Libor M — Google review
The gentleman who met us was pleasant enough. The car was an old beater. 2007 model with over 150,000km on it. Bald tire on one side at the front. Stuff falling from under the dashboard onto the pedals. When we returned the car in Roseau, all the vehicles looked decrepit. I suggest looking elsewhere. I agree this tarnishes Avis' reputation.
Gaetan T — Google review
I booked a reservation with Avis at the airport in Dominica months ahead of my trip. When I arrived at the airport after picking up my bags I headed to pick up my rental. When I approached the owner of the rental he told me he gave my car away and was very unapologetic about it. He was very rude and when I asked him for his name he disappeared. I would never rent a car from Avis in Dominica. Even though I had Presendital status that did not matter to him. Please be aware that you are taking a big risk when you book with this agency in Dominica. His name is Mr Vidal. He is giving Avis a very bad name and Corporate should look into his customer service. I would never recommend this agency to anyone

Total Fail 😡. During a cruise we rented in total 9 cars on 9 islands. All have been pre-booked and everywhere it went fine except for Avis at Dominica. We were at the Avis office at the agreed time. The “office” turned out to be a locked container on a locked site and nobody answered our phone calls. So no Avis car in Dominica - luckily we found a local car rental company in Roseau with better prices...
Harald C — Google review
Despite reserving a car weeks beforehand, and being in contact with Lenny (the Avis representative) through WhatsApp, we were not able to actually get a car because the agent was nowhere to be found. When we arrived at the branch we could not even call him, because he never answered. Apparently this poor service by Avis is well known across the island. USE ANOTHER CAR RENTAL AGENCY!!!!

Saw some reviews and was nervous. Looked at my Avis confirmation email and way at the bottom was the number to contact. I used Whatsapp to make sure all was good and had great communication. The SUV that we got was perfectly fine! If you're renting here, don't worry, he's great. Just be extra communicative so he knows when you're coming and where you'll be
Val D — Google review
Made reservations weeks in advance and when we arrived at the airport the avis "office" was closed. No one answered the phone when we called. The lady operating the car rental next door offered to call the avis rep for us and his response was he had no bookings so he did not show up. Gave him the confirmation information from the email that I got and he said he did not have it and got off the phone. Very terrible service. DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS IN DOMINICA.
Kareen J — Google review
Had reservations for today, even received confirmation email yesterday. Arrived Dominica at 638am and waited and waited...no show at Avis desk. A security officer even called the girl who works the Avis desk and she never answered..I got car from next door at Bonus Car Rental and had a blast..and good price... I was told the female who works Avis desk does this often (doesnt show or shows up an hour or so late). Obviously I would not recommend Avis Dominica to anyone...

Jack's Walk Trail

4.6
(12)
Hiking area
Jack's Walk Trail is a delightful short hike that ascends to Morne Bruce, offering an escape into a serene wooded area. As you make your way up the trail, keep an eye out for the fascinating array of lizards darting through the underbrush—perfect for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike! The trek may be steep at times, but it typically takes only about 15-20 minutes to reach the summit.
Nice basic little exercise in the SHADE. Google says there are 35 steps but that’s the actual concrete ones - lots of incline but only like 15-20 mins. Cute little lizards around also. Not “hard” but not an easy walk for everyone. View up top is great. Then we walked down the other side and met the tour buses:)
Jeff K — Google review
A nice little workout in the shade. There is plenty of incline. The climb takes about 15–20 minutes. We spotted some cute lizards along the way. It’s not “hard,” but the incline may be challenging for some. The view at the top is worth it!
Marta S — Google review
We entered through the Botanical Gardens. The posted sign said 20 minute walk to the top. It took us about 12 min. It was steep with lots of steps and was moderately strenuous. Beautiful view from the top.
Jason S — Google review
We took a taxi to the Morne Bruce Viewpoint and came down the trail. It was definitely doable for a couple of older relatively out of shape tourists however there are no handrails and if it were muddy all bets are off. My legs were shaky by the time we reached bottom. It supposedly ends at the botanical garden however stay inside the wall- we went on to the street and never did make it inside the garden. View from the viewpoint at top is fantastic.

It can be a little dangerous. Bad ground conditions and no protection

The Petit Paris is a great option for a French cafe in a Caribbean island. The food is tasty and the staff are friendly, making it an affordable and convenient place to enjoy some culinary culture. The location on the bayfront provides great views of the sea at lunch or dinner time, making it an enjoyable spot to relax and unwind.
We have come here for years! Very good pizza. And the ham and cheese stuffed croissant 🥐 is so good. We ordered breakfast while waiting for the ferry and ordered sandwiches to go and eat on the ship. Iced coffee is fantastic.

Stopped at this little place while we were in port today. The friendliest staff, very clean establishment, and great food. We enjoyed a Greek salad and a panini.. perfect stop before exploring the friendliest Island of Dominica.

Had a Country Man, Steak Burger with Fries. It was Delicious...and chicken green pepper pizza 🍕. Place was a little small. Yet, we weren't paid much attention too... Waited about 10 minutes for the bill table cleared. We had to call again to pay.....

I had the fish sandwich and my wife had the BLT. It’s a small quaint restaurant right next to the ocean. The staff is pleasant and the food is delicious. The price good. As you can see the portions are great that was my sandwich.

Our second lunch at Petit Paris Restaurant. As has been the case at all restaurants on Dominica there were several dishes that weren't available. The paella was lovely. Flavorful rice with shrimp, small clams and chicken pieces.

Located near the seafront in Roseau, Fort Young Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. Guests can enjoy a delicious self-serve buffet featuring a variety of options such as green salad, fruit salad, pastries, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, yogurt and granola. The staff is attentive and the ambiance is welcoming.

The place is beautiful! We had a very lousy experience at the restaurant though. We were a party of 8 and received our entrees at 3 separate times in the span of more than an hour. A few of us ordered appetizers and those that didn’t had their entrees brought to them. A few entrees showed up a 1/2 hour later and the rest of us got our entrees another 1/2 hour later. None of us got to eat together as a family. The scalloped potato’s came out ice cold! Very unpleasant experience for Fort Young!

(Translated by Google) Hotel: large and friendly room, quiet, but be careful with the sea view, many cruise ships dock and then the view of the sunset!!!! No beach, nice swimming pool but very few deckchairs. As for the restaurant, we tested the rom service: very good, good meal and fast service. As for the restaurant, we were treated to the buffet on Sunday evening, what a disappointment, overpriced for what is offered. In 3 weeks in Dominica this is the first time that we have eaten so poorly. In conclusion: hotel that claims to be “high-end” by its prices, but in no way justified by its services.

Catholic cathedral
The Roseau Cathedral Chapel, also known as Lady of Fairhaven, is a significant historical site in downtown Roseau. Nestled within the walls of the historic Roman Catholic Cathedral, it houses a museum showcasing religious art and artifacts. The chapel's stained glass windows create a mesmerizing display of colors that adds to its allure. Despite being smaller than the original cathedral, it remains an important place of worship with a rich history and architectural significance.
Beautiful oasis in a town with so little. It is a comforting stop on your tour. Many people who live here are struggling with poverty and putting food on the table. This chapel is testament to what faith, courage and money can help build!

Islandstyle Fishing Whale Watching and Charters in Dominica offers prime whale watching opportunities as the island is a year-round home to sperm whales, along with other species like humpback and pilot whales. Captain Jerry, known for his expertise in finding whales and fish, is highly recommended for his extensive knowledge of Dominica both at sea and on land. Visitors have had memorable experiences fishing with him, often being impressed by his professionalism and ability to spot marine life such as whales during their trips.
We had a great time fishing with Captain Jerry! My family of 6 were staying in the north and were able to get picked up in Portsmouth. Jerry’s knowledge of the island and ability to get on fish are second to none in Dominica. We highly recommend!
Jim M — Google review
This was a great whale-watching trip! We saw eight whales. It was easy to book, in a convenient location in Roseau, and well worth the price. Thank you for a great whale adventure in Dominica!
Brea B — Google review
Jerry and Jaden are amazing! We had a great time cruising and fishing. The boat has everything you need and Jerry has a wealth of knowledge about whales, fishing, and local history. I highly recommend booking a charter with Jerry if you’re in the area!
Georgia P — Google review
Captain Jerry is the absolute best boat captain, and definitely the whale whisperer. He can certainly find the whales and the fish. His knowledge of Dominica is second to none, both on the sea, and on the island. I have been on several trips with Jerry, ranging from an afternoon on the water, to much longer trips, and I'm always amazed at his level of experience and knowledge. If you want personalized service, on a great boat, with an amazing captain and crew, definitely choose Island Style Fishing and Jerry Daway.
Michael S — Google review
Jerry and Jaden are amazing and lovely and we saw two gorgeous whales and dolphins jumping in the wake of the boat. We also saw turtles and went swimming in hot springs. A+!!! 10 out of 10.
Andrew S — Google review
SUCH an INCREDIBLE experience with Jerry and his crew swimming with Sperm whales. We only had a day unfortunately and we were super lucky to pick the best team out there because Jerry worked tirelessly to find us a whale. After 2.5 hours on the water we were able to jump in with a juvenile TWICE. The young whale was very curious and swam right up to us both times and the second time dove down and pooped at us on the way down :) Jerry uses a hydrophone to detect where the whales are and be able to pinpoint their location. Such an incredible once in a lifetime experience. I HIGHLY recommend this operation!
Lina R — Google review
We spent $1400 to go swim with the sperm whales and all we did was drive up and down the island! The whales were further out and the captain did not want to take us out and even if we couldn’t find sperm whales he could have at least taken us snorkeling at Scott’s head since we were right there! He wasn’t friendly and didn’t seem like he had experience especially since everyone we spoke to on the island saw sperm whales! Plus he cut our tour short by two hours! So upset we came all the way here and didn’t see anything! A waste of $1400 and not worth your time! I definitely do not recommend! Plus saw his boat in harbor for the following four days we were at Fort Young so he definitely doesn’t have whale experience!
Riley L — Google review
My family had THE most amazing afternoon with Jerry and his son Jayden on their boat. They were kind and respectful and showed us their beautiful island. We saw whales, dolphins, turtles and were taken all around the island. We felt safe and had a beautiful time. I highly recommend using this company.

Cool place, upstairs location but sand floors with beach vibe. Super friendly staff and food choices were many. The sides were excellent, the fish was tasty but cooked slightly more that I prefer. I would eat here again, but would choose a different protein.

A very laid back and fun bar! It definitely is made for tourists but the fun drinks and atmosphere are hard to pass up. We had burgers (after a week of chicken and fish we were craving some beef) and they were actually so good! The prices were fair and it was close to the cruise ships and our hotel. Definitely check this place out!

This establishment boasts an exceptional selection of locally sourced spirits; a visit is highly recommended. We suggest sampling the "lucky snake rum" snake head rum shots. The establishment is situated on the top floor, showcasing tropical, sandy beach décor which overlooks the bay. It is further distinguished by its customer service.

This is a fun beach bar, on the first floor overlooking the seafront. It has a sandy floor and bar-style seating looking out over the sea as well as tables and benches. Good selection of the usual cocktails and beers. The menu is pretty good - rotis and agoulous are a solid choice and I also enjoyed the grilled fish and the lobster tail. It’s a pleasant place to watch the comings and goings on whichever cruise ship is docked or to enjoy a beer whilst sheltering from the rain!
