Scenic Railroads
Conway Scenic Railroad is a nostalgic 19th-century train station located in North Conway, NH. It offers rides on restored locomotives with dining cars, providing a charming and quaint experience at the heart of the Valley. The area is known for its ski town charm, with shops, dining options, and Schouler Park surrounding the railroad. The Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce collaborates with local businesses to promote the region as a premier New England destination.
This is a historic railroad located in the White Mountains and it was built in 1874. The station is in North Conway. We took a 55 minute round trip ride on this train during our visit. It's such a fun activity to do if you have kids, love history, and/or love trains. The employees were friendly, the seats were comfy, and the views were amazing. We went in May so the train was pretty empty; they gave us the option of riding in first class, free of charge. Score! They also told us stories and facts through the intercom. I highly recommend a visit!
Kim V — Google review
I had higher expectations but it was still a nice relaxing ride. 70% of the time was spent riding through a wall of trees and towns. When you enter the train, for best views sit on left side. Once it did open up, the views were great. Definitely consider a fall ride during peak for the best color.
Ashley S — Google review
We were so excited to take the scenic railroad train ride. Cut out a scenic drive in the national park to make the trip. The train car was really cool and built in 1923 very detailed features and use to be a passenger train from new Jersey to Manhattan. The ride was smooth and relaxing with the sun coming through all the windows. The scenic views were sub par from construction zones, neighborhoods, junky back yards, businesses, a corn field and one nice view of a mountain range with soccer goals all in front of it. Very disappointed from what was described on the website to what was actually delivered. Maybe the 4hr trip is better but the 1hr was just a train ride without the scenic views. I will say everyone was nice and polite and the car was exceptionally clean. Adding pictures of the #view of your doing the 1hr to save your time.
Big F — Google review
This is a wonderful opportunity to see the changing colors in the fall. However, I recommend that you do NOT reserve the dome car which has the most expensive seats. The dome and windows are not clean and are tinted so you can not get pics. In addition, we were freezing as there is no heat and the seats appear short than in the main cars. Four hours is a long ride to see more ‘of the Same’. I might recommend a shorter, less expensive option.
Karen B — Google review
We had a really enjoyable experience. We travelled in Dome class which does give you better views. The trees along the track obscure much of the views so you really have to enjoy the journey itself. It is quite an expensive activity so you really have to like riding a train. I feel like they could have made the experience more valuable with a complimentary drink and snack. There is a snack bar on board but queues are long. Overall we are glad we did the journey but I wouldn’t repeat it
Morag C — Google review
We took a 1-hour ride to celebrate our anniversary and had a lovely time! We bought first-class tickets and had the car entirely to ourselves (on an August Sunday). The views were lovely, the seats and car were comfortable (and the A/C had no trouble keeping up with the August heat), and we had a delightful time. For the first half of the trip there was a pre-recorded narration of the sights coming up (in a soothing Mr. Rogers–style voice — we felt like he liked us just the way we are!), which helped me get in position for photos. The second half of the trip (coming back along the same track) had no narration. Probably not good for small children with limited attention spans, but a delightful, relaxing experience for adults who like scenery and history. One thing to watch out for: We did not allow for the dense traffic we experienced on our way to the station, and we ended up being the last people aboard and had to scramble to get our boarding passes. In general, traffic in the area during the summer was a lot thicker and slower than I expected. (Since we were the only people in the first-class car, though, it didn’t matter that we were the last ones aboard.) There were a few fun historical exhibits in the station; it's worth taking the time before or after your ride to check those out.
Jay S — Google review
Riding the Conway Scenic Railroad was a truly unforgettable experience like stepping back in time while gliding through some of New Hampshire’s most breathtaking landscapes. The vintage train cars were beautifully restored, and the ride itself was smooth, peaceful, and full of charm. As we traveled through lush forests and over scenic bridges, the fall colors were absolutely stunning, making every moment feel like a moving postcard. The staff were incredibly friendly and shared fascinating local history throughout the journey, adding depth to the views outside the window. Whether you're a train enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing and scenic escape, this ride is a perfect blend of nostalgia, nature, and New England charm.
Salma M — Google review
We rode the scenic railway at the beginning of October. Overall it was a disappointing experience. We chose the dome class for the best views. Unfortunately the windows were filthy so it wasn’t possible to get good photographs. A lot of the journey is through trees and woodland so the views aren’t great. It does open up towards the end so you can enjoy the scenery. It is expensive for what it is. The ticket collection was confusing, we queued for a long time to board the train and were directed to the wrong carriage. This process could have been better organised . If you love trains it’s worth doing otherwise you’re see more driving around.

Zebs General Store is a quintessential old-fashioned dimestore located in an old yellow porch-front Colonial on Route 16. It exudes a nostalgic charm with its soda fountain, penny-candy counter, and barrels of goods on wooden floors.
Always a fun place to stop at! They got rid of the barrel of pickles, understandably. They have so many different foods that you don’t find at your traditional store. Dried soups, jarred everything almost, soap, kitchen goods, everything. And a candy bar. They have a lot of antiques scattered everywhere too which are fun to look at.
Sasha A — Google review
Kind of hard to beat a store that has everything! I had just gotten back in town from a hike and was looking for some souvenirs for my kids....it was 5:55 and they closed at 6! The staff was extremely kind still as me and a handful of other last minute shoppers made our way through the endless aisles of everything. Next time I'm in town, I look forward to carving out an hour of my day to really check this store out. Very unique place!

This is by far the most beautiful store i ever visited. Every single stuff in the store is specifically designed and made to look feel authentic/different. It’s just worth a visit.

A must visit if you're in North Conway. It's a vintage style convenience store. They carry all types of items from candies to soaps and more. They also have their own sodas and spreads. It's located in a convenient location with many amenities nearby. We were walking around town and saw this spot. I also read some good reviews about it. It's a large gift shop with many items. A perfect place to buy items for yourselves and as gifts. We bought some candies; I love the penny old school style candies. If you're in the area, definitely worth a stop even though it is a tourist trap.
Kim V — Google review
We saw a big queue outside this store so just joined it, not really knowing what we were queuing for. So pleased that we did because it's an amazing store that you can spend ages in exploring. There's so many different things to look at and I really loved all of the old fashioned artefacts.

Legendary Store. Its a feel good place that sells everything under the sun. Nostalgia is excellent here. Homemade everything here....candy, fudge, chocolates, jams, jellies, sauces, salsa, aioli, baking goods to make ...breads, muffins, cookies, cakes, soups, large variety of Zebs specialty sodas, homemade soaps, lotions, bath bombs, spices, popcorn and a ton of novelty trinkets and souvenirs....tees, hoodies etc...there are 2 floors... a child's dream an adults happy place....a must visit !!!!!

It's a fun general store with a wide variety of products. But it gets crowded! I didn't think it would be crowded first thing on a rainy Monday morning. But I was wrong! I purchased maple syrup and a bar of honeysuckle soap.

Bar & grill
Delaney's Hole In the Wall, located in North Conway, NH, has been a favorite spot since 1994. It offers a warm and rustic atmosphere where visitors can enjoy American staples and sushi in a lively sports tavern setting. The restaurant sources the best local produce and meats to create delightful dishes for its customers. Additionally, live music events are hosted on select nights at Delaney's as well as at other nearby venues like Horsefeathers and Moat Mountains.
Not going to lie, we picked this place during our White Mtn trip because our last name is Delaney. I was hoping I wouldn’t be let down. Far from it! The food and service were amazing. We had a Cesar salad (this is not traditional and our waitress made sure we were aware) which had a twist but was great. My wife and I split the swordfish sandwich and the Po Boy. Both of these were delicious! The homemade sweet potato fries - yum! Of course we had to leave with some swag bearing our name as well. Seriously though, maybe I was biased by the name but the food is great at this local establishment. Give them a try!
Russell D — Google review
We visited on a weekday noon, but the place still had a fair patronage. Delaney' has bar section and a dining section. We were in the dining section as we went with there for lunch. The food serving size and quality was great. The salad was very well done and so was the pizza. The fish could have been better perhaps. But then I tend to favour the British batter for the fish. The Guinness pour was spot on too. The staff was courteous and serving was great. Almost to the level of what we are used to in Asia. I Highly Recommend fir good and drinks, if you happen to be in that area.
Sunil A — Google review
Delaney’s Hole In the Wall offers a surprisingly diverse menu in a cozy, mountain-themed setting. While the restaurant serves sushi and other Japanese-inspired options, the menu expands far beyond that, giving everyone something to enjoy. The dishes we tried were flavorful and well-prepared — definitely above expectations for a casual local spot. The interior is warm and character-rich, decorated with ski memorabilia, snow gear, and old mountain photographs that tie into the local alpine spirit. It feels both nostalgic and lived-in, with a charm that reflects the region’s outdoor culture. Service started on a slightly off note — the man who greeted us wasn’t particularly warm, which left a bit of a first-impression dent. However, once seated, the rest of the staff were attentive and friendly, and the overall experience was pleasant. The food and smooth service more than made up for the less-than-enthusiastic welcome. If you’re in the area, it’s a solid place to stop for a hearty meal in a setting that blends comfort with a touch of local mountain history.

We chose this place for our lunch during the trip in North Conway. Loved their Lobster Rolls and Clam Chowder! I was skeptical when reading some of the reviews for this dish. Yet, I decided to try it anyway, because why not! Best decision I said. Fresh and juicy Maine lobster with perfect dressing (oh and generous portion, too!) as well as creamy and well-seasoned clam chowder. The service was good also.
Peeraya P — Google review
DELICIOUS FOOD at a reasonable price point! Really cozy setting, with friendly and understanding wait-staff. Portion size was great. I ordered the Smokey Mountain burger which was mouth wateringly delicious - cannot recommend that enough. Fries came with the burgers but could be substituted for a range of sides including (from memory) sweet potato fries, salad and soup, butternut squash, or green beans (some at an additional cost). Only downside was that there was a little bit of a wait (~20min) even outside of usual lunch hours but just goes to show how popular they are!
Ruth K — Google review
This restaurant was established in 1994 and offers pub and comfort fare. We read the reviews and decided to stop in for lunch. The menu was vast and the interior was cozy. The service was great. I had a couple of drinks which were made well. One was essentially a spiked Arnold Palmer, delicious. We had Philadelphia sushi roll for an appetizer, random but fresh and delicious. Then I saw another patron eating wings so I was influenced. Those wings were so good! Crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. My family also enjoyed their meals. I definitely recommend this spot!

This place was awesome. Food - delicious. Service - great. Atmosphere - really, really nice. The Shrimp Po Boy was the best. I loved it. Definitely worth going out of your way to go here. Definitely. We ended up 25 minutes out of our way and would do it all over again.

Wow. First time here and we were thrown off that there was sushi on the menu but it was GREAT and I would recommend it to anyone spending time in this part of NH. Deff a repeat place for us. GREAT service, great sushi, avalanche pizza, and Texas tornado sando. Food and service was top notch.

Nestled between Whitaker Woods and Memorial Hospital, May Kelly's Cottage is a charming Irish pub in North Conway that exudes an old-world ambiance with its vintage decor. The fully stocked bar can craft any beverage to complement the hearty meals. With its eye-catching yellow exterior, this spot not only offers authentic Irish cuisine but also uses locally sourced ingredients for fresh and flavorful dishes.
This place was so cute! It was not just a restaurant but an experience. It’s a popular spot for the locals I bet. The staff and the front desk were so friendly, inviting. It felt like a family affair! They have a lot of fun vintage stuff to look at while you wait. Food was great too. I got a pie trio but wasn’t a big fan of the chicken pot pie but I loved the Shepherds pie and beef stew. My friends loved their meals and drinks too. Definitely must visit. Just for the experience and amazing food is a plus!
Meg S — Google review
The food was good. Portion sizes are on the larger side. The atmosphere is really cozy and is an ideal place to get farm to table dishes. The only downside in terms of food and beverages is that they don't have cans and have only Pepsi. Although not a real deal breaker but I personally am not a fan of fountain soda. The staff was really welcoming, and food came out fairly quickly. The outside seating is recommended as you get a really beautiful view of Mount Washington.

Have been to North Conway a bunch but never went here. What a cool place! Nice warm and cozy atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Food was also good and a good size portion. Worth a visit on your next trip through!

This is definitely my favorite Irish restaurant/pub and wish it was closer to me. The decor is pretty cool and unique. My family and I enjoyed dining there. The service and food were fantastic. I had an Irish coffee with Bailey's and it was so good I had to have another. For my meal, I did the Irish sampler; 3 bowls consisting of Shepard's pie, beef stew, and pot pie. All were amazing but my favorites were the beef stew then the Shepard's pie. Overall, a great spot for some Irish food and can't wait to go back!

The food was really good. The atmosphere was nice. I would have happier if the waitress had been a little more attentive to our needs. Overall we had a really nice time.

If you are in the Jackson or North Conway, NH area, you have to stop by May Kelly's cottage, particularly the bar area on a Sunday night, where musicians pick up and play, Similar to Scottish musicians at local pubs. Cozy atmosphere and home-cooked meals, and, I am told, good brewskis as well.

Generous portions! No complaints — great service and friendly staff. Especially before the early Sunday 4pm close. YMMV, but I kicked butt after a ski day but be aware before ordering. Stopped in for a small pepperoni calzone, small salad, and an order of buffalo wings. All were excellent and plenty for leftovers or to share between two or three people. Especially liked the sweet tomato sauce / marinara in the calzone. Nice fresh taste!! Good cold beer on tap and Bob Ross on the TV - muted. Nice tunes with a reggae theme — just the right volume. Definitely be back again - but need to finish these leftovers first!!
Gary M — Google review
Pizza was good, very greasy but that’s not a bad thing. Great cheese, sauce was great and the crust was cooked perfectly. Dough appears to be fresh, not frozen. As a Bostonian, it was up to par with a good local pizza joint. Only reason not to give 5 stars is that there appears to be some communication issues with the back door which leads to a deck where you can sit and eat. There is a door that leads to the deck (outside eating area) does not have any “exit only sign” or “employees only” and it was mentioned by a older staff member several times to different patrons who were eating on the deck that “this is not an entrance, but that’s ok”. I mean, if you are going to have an issue with your patrons wanting to go back inside for something and wanting them to walk back down the side of the building to the other door, put a sign on the door that says “EXIT ONLY”. Having to be reprimanded was somewhat obnoxious. Another suggestion I had is to add a trash receptacle or place to put your pizza boxes. There are two waste bins, one for recycling and one for trash which is labeled “no pizza boxes”. They serve you your pizza in boxes even if you are eating outside so are you supposed to keep them as souvenirs? I would go there again but have to remind myself of the rules.

In the winter, visitors can enjoy skiing and snow tubing on 56 trails with various levels of difficulty. The resort also hosts winter events for guests to enjoy. During the summer months, the resort transforms into an adventure park offering activities such as summer tubing, giant swing rides, mountain coaster rides, zip lining, and hiking.
What a wonderful mountain resort. It's like you have a winter park with everything to have the best time in the snow. The snow tubing was super fun, and I can't get enough from it.

Winter and summer fun. Plenty of things to do for all ages. The park has plenty of parking. The resort if ever changing with the times. The prices have seem to risen drastically in the last few years, but they are always investing on making the park better. Skiing in the winter with night skiing possible. Tubing. Summer has bike courses, bouncy house, and a alpine slide that goes wicked fast. The alpine slide fits two. Child and adult. There is food on the property. The hotel is nearby and a bike path starts on the property.

I would have loved to of had a go on all of the rides myself, but unforgivable unfortunately didn't have the time. If you're staying at the hotel next door is great to drop the kids off here whilst you do all of the packing and load the car up. The children spent about 3hrs here and loved it, with the mountain coaster being there favourite ride. Plenty of free parking here and very very your tickets slightly cheaper through Groupon.

I went here just for the theme park and it was really enjoyable. The mountain coaster was definitely the best with a long track and not too much queuing. The Giant Swing was very fun and all times we went on had almost no queue. Really enjoyed the skilift up to Cranmore Mountain.

This is a nice little place to spend a few hours. The chair lift is peaceful and beautiful. The mountain coaster is a lot of fun, highly recommend. The swing was fun. The waits to ride the rides aren't terrible.

Cranmore Adventure Park: A Monday Full of Motion Cranmore Adventure Park delivered plenty of thrills on my Monday visit. The mountain coaster was the clear standout—fast, smooth, and surrounded by great views. Lines were short, which made it easy to hop from one attraction to the next without much waiting. There were lots of school groups visiting, giving the park an energetic, noisy buzz, though it stayed manageable. A few rides were closed, which limited the options a bit, and food lines dragged on longer than expected. Still, the friendly atmosphere and fun mix of activities made the day worthwhile. If you go, plan to eat early, check the ride schedule ahead of time, and don’t skip the coaster—it’s Cranmore’s crown jewel.

This place is perfect for a visit any season. We went there in the summer and returned in the winter, enjoying both visits a lot. In winter, there's more than just skiing: you can go snow tubing, ride the mountain coaster, try the eagle zip line, or even take a turn on the giant swing. For skiing, they've got three lifts and two magic carpets, making it great for any level of skier. They offer a variety of lessons, including private ones, group classes, and a kids' ski camp. The camp for kids is especially good. It runs from 10 am to 3 pm and includes lunch and snacks. For our kids, the student-to-instructor ratio was 1:1, which was fantastic for learning and fun. We also tried private lessons, which were excellent. The instructors are friendly and make the experience very enjoyable. Just remember, you need to book the camp and group classes at least 48 hours in advance. However, if you're interested in private lessons, you can sign up for those just 24 hours ahead.

Unfortunately for us, we will never be able to eat another regular croissant or bagel now that we’ve had boissants. We will have to drive 7 hours to get them…and they are worth it. Great place, great service, great selections, but the boissant is the baked gem you didn’t know you needed in your life.

Great food, great coffee, great service! Came here for the gluten free bagels and they did not disappoint! There were multiple signs posted as reminders that it’s a high gluten space, but based off reviews I saw, I trusted they knew what they were doing- and they did! I have celiac and I’m very sensitive and I had no issues. They even had packs of frozen bagels to take home. I’m very thankful for places like this, especially when traveling. Keep it up Bagels Plus!

I was there twice actually in one week . I had the Breakfast Bagel with Veggie Sausage one time and the Everything Bagel with Scallion Flavoured Cream Cheese the other time. Both were delicious. The bagel bar is run by locals so it is authentic New Hampshire. Excellent and super efficient service. 1950’s decor too.

Great bagel options! I wish I could try all of them, especially the ones I never see around the North Shore Massachusetts area. The breakfast sandwiches are good and so are the ones you can have for lunch. Now the service is exceptional. Very friendly staff and even more polite and efficient. Plenty of parking around back. Lots of items to keep the kids busy and entertained while there. Highly recommended!!

A must visit everytime we are in North Conway. The bagels are mouth water. The vibe is nostalgic. Highly recommend

Super friendly service and amazing 3chz bagel with scallion cream cheese. Cute little sitting area too.

This is the best bagel in North Conway and beyond. I am here at least once per week and my day is better whenever I come here! The staff is friendly, seem happy to work there, and always has a killer playlist bumping.

The bagels are good!! The dough is chewy and baked crispy! We arrived around 11 and the croissant bagels were already sold out🥲 Def will come back next time for it

Horsefeathers is a well-established restaurant located in North Conway, New Hampshire, offering a casual dining experience with pub fare and a wide selection of beers. Established in 1976, this family-friendly spot is known for its delicious cuisine, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes such as the fisherman's platter and half-pound sirloin burger with local microbrews available.
Delicious and great service!! Food and drinks ordered and delivered to the table at a great pace. Asked several times if I needed anything else — all BIG positives. First timer and came in about 1:30pm for lunch. Friendly greeting at the door and quickly seated. Went with the croc of French onion soup followed by the Philly cheesesteak and potato planks. The soup was awesome — plenty of melted cheese, onion, and a rich beef stock. Was thinking I was only going to eat half the cheesesteak but so good I polished off the whole thing. The roll had a nice crisp and pillowy feel and not overpowering the rest of the sandwich at the same time. The beef, cheese, and pepper combo made it a Goldilocks sandwich — JUST RIGHT!! Got to see most of the lunch menu delivered over 90 minutes and it all looked great. Plan on being back again and again.

My wife and I had dinner here for our anniversary. We had the crab bisque, it was very tasty, we both had fish and chips, it was the the best we've had in a while. It came to the table perfectly hot, was crispy but not too oily, and very tasty. Our waiter was on top of everything the whole time and got better as the restaurant got busier.
Ron C — Google review
The waitress was prompt and attentive, however the food took half an hour after our party of 3 ordered. We had a salad, burger and chicken parm, so nothing outrageous. And the lettuce for the salad wasn't fresh. The atmosphere was pleasant though; not too loud and easy to converse.

Went to New Hampshire for the weekend and wanted to try a new restaurant. We went to Horsefeathers as it was in the area we were staying in. Cute little shopping and restaurant area right across from the scenic railroad. The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived but were seated promptly. The waiter and waitress came over shortly after arriving and took our drink order. We order water and a red wine. For our meal, we chose a soup and roast beef sandwich and an order of their chicken quesadillas. The waiter was training but was very attentive and polite along with the trainer waitress. We were seated next to a large party with young children, so It was a bit noisy being in close proximity. They had tvs and a bar area as well and a good size dining area with different style tables depending on your party size. The food was really good and the service was equally as good. Did not stay for any length of time to relax and enjoy due to the noise.

Casual Irish tavern serving the classics. Comfort food is plentiful, as is the friendly service.

I've had pastrami sandwiches from many places, including the "best" places in NYC. But, the pastrami sandwich at Horsefeathers in N. Conway, NH is, to me, the very best. The thick cut fried potato slices just add to this distinctly delicious and amazing sandwich. It is in the top 3 best tasting meals I have ever had. Thank you Horsefeathers kitchen staff and ownership for keeping up the consistency of this one-of-a-kind sandwich. I am truely very grateful.

Great family dinner at Horsefeathers! We've been coming here for years, the portions are large for both food and drink. The service is really great, very attentive staff!! Keep in mind it'll get busy on the weekends around dinner time so plan ahead. Very popular!

We were less than impressed when we walked in a was greeted by a lady who really just gave the vibe of hating her job. Not friendly. Not welcoming. We then were told the wait would be 20 minutes, which was fine, but then the party of 8 behind us got seated right away. We waited our 20 minutes, went back and was just sent upstairs to the bar by the same lady who wasn't friendly the first time we had arrived. If we were given the option to just go upstairs the first time, we would have saved 20 minutes and would have been sat right away. The lady downstairs was just really unpleasant. I do want to recognize the two guys upstairs at the bar. They greeted us right away, with a smile, and they were pleasant to whoever else came upstairs to dine. The gentleman upstairs were attentive and one of them had an awesome mullet.

Thai restaurant
Bangkok Cafe is a cozy spot that offers traditional Thai cuisine, including lunch specials, in a relaxed dining room with beer. Visitors praise the excellent and light food, fresh vegetables, and perfectly cooked noodles. The ambiance is described as a quiet oasis with pleasant lighting that adds to the overall experience. The restaurant's commitment to making everything fresh is highlighted as a huge bonus for those with food sensitivities. Despite its small space and team, Bangkok Cafe delivers big portions and amazing flavors.
The atmosphere when entering the building was truly miraculous, The people were very polite. The food is absolutely amazing. Would highly Recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in Conway or even if you’re outside Conway, I’m undoubtably going to order again
Forgotten G — Google review
I can’t recommend Bangkok Cafe based on my experience. It was quite a disappointing visit. Food: The food was pathetic. The soup, in particular, was so bad that I had to walk out after tasting it. The flavor was off, and I just couldn’t bring myself to continue with the meal. It was a huge letdown from what I was expecting. Service: The service was lacking. The staff were unfriendly, and it felt like they didn’t know how to handle the crowd. We were left waiting with no clear structure for the waiting list, which made the whole experience frustrating. The staff could definitely use more training in customer service. Ambience: The ambience was average at best. It wasn’t unpleasant, but it didn’t offer anything special. It didn’t have much character, and overall, the atmosphere felt quite plain and uninspired. Overall, this place didn’t live up to expectations, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for better food and service.
Vignesh M — Google review
This is the most homely, most friendly restaurant in intervale. The owners are so friendly, accomodating and jolly. The food is excellent to say the least. You get a taste of authentic home style Thai food. Very fresh ingredients, grest taste, and very refreshing.. the pineapple fried rice, the pad Thai and green curry are worth multiple visits. Anytime you think of summiting mount Washington, drive down and walk in with your eyes closed for a satisfying end of the day dinner.

Price is somewhat on the expensive side. Entree portion size is decent with the price starting from $18 and up. Taste is water down version of Thai food especially on the soups. Don't recommend for authentic Thai food lovers.

We tried the vegetable rice and drunken noodles at Bangkok Cafe in Conway, NH, and I was genuinely impressed! The vegetable rice was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, while the drunken noodles had just the right amount of spice and a wonderful balance of textures. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the staff was friendly and attentive definitely one of my favorite spots for authentic Thai food in the area!

I've never written a review for a resturaunt before, so this won't be the fanciest of write-ups, but I just had to break the silence with this one. Peaceful, chill, and wonderful. Those are the words that come to mind for this places ambience. The food was wonderful, and the wait time was reasonable. The highlight or this experiences was our service. Jolly and likeable, it was always fun seeing him and talking to him. I didn't get his name, but he was family to the owner (he wore glasses and a blue pole. Nice Guy with a great sense of humor). Highly recommended!

BEWARE! FOOD POISONING RISK! Food is horrible! We ordered orange chicken w rice and the pork Siam noodles Orange chicken sauce is the worst I’ve seen in my life. And the chicken is really just pre fried and then chucked into water with some weird tasting stuff. Worse, pork in the noodles tasted stale and I’m having the runs after eating, as I’m typing this out angrily now.

Came here on Columbus Day Monday & all the restaurant around town that we went where full and have to wait more than an hour. Do not recommend to come on weekend or public holiday. Bangkok cafe food was okay, tastes like having American Thai dishes that cook by a housewife. After waited 30mins waiting for the table and the food came out way too long, like 45mins after. I don’t blame them as this is a family run business. Portion was generous and affordable priced.

New American restaurant
Nestled within the charming Stonehurst Manor, The Wild Rose Restaurant offers a captivating dining experience with stunning mountain views. This Italian-influenced restaurant serves up a delightful fusion of wood-fired bread, gourmet pizzas, fresh pasta, and grilled dishes inspired by global flavors. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast and dinner as well as hors d'oeuvres in the lounge.
Wild Rose at Stonehurst Manor We stopped by Stonehurst Manor during the day just to check out the grounds, even though the Wild Rose Restaurant was closed. The staff, especially Olivia, was incredibly helpful, giving us a warm welcome and encouraging us to come back for dinner. She even made a reservation for us on the spot, which was a great touch of hospitality. We arrived an hour before our reservation to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting and enjoy the sitting area inside. The grounds are stunning, with a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. We were thoroughly impressed with the level of attention and service from every staff member we interacted with. From the moment we arrived to the end of our visit, the experience was top-notch. Would highly recommend stopping in not just for the food, but to enjoy the grounds and the impeccable service.

We like to come out to stonehurst once or twice a year and its a beautiful place. The lounge is a must see and the bartender is great. When we checked in we did find that there were a couple of glasses left over from the previous guests but otherwise the room was clean. The food is where they fell short. We come here and look forward to the prime rib. In the photos you can see the difference from a year ago (single prime rib) and last night (photo with two prime ribs). The meat was nice and tender but there was no flavor to anything. The potatoes were very bland and I had to put salt on the prime rib to just to get it some flavor. The service was good and the hostess was great, they just missed the mark on the food.

We had a lovely evening for dinner at the Wild Rose! The food was delicious and they were even able to make me a non-alcoholic version of one of their Fall cocktails that was fantastic! We had the crab cakes, a salad, the wild rose seafood dish, and the toffee cake dessert! Reservations were easy to coordinate, and we had ours for 7:45 but they were running a bit late and dinner took quite a long time. We were not in a hurry, but if you are, this might not be the best choice! Our server did a great job but it did feel like there were maybe a little understaffed that night. Just as a warning if you are looking for a quick meal, this is not the move! But, if you're looking for delicious food and lovely ambiance, I would highly recommend! On a different note, if you are looking for a place just to get drinks or a more limited menu, their bar/lounge space is in an old style house library and was very cool! We sat there for a bit while waiting for our table and they even had live music that night!

We have been coming to the Manor for 14 years on our wedding anniversary. We got married there in 2011. We love the tradition and look forward to the food every year. This year's trip was a bit lack-luster, unfortunately. We sat for a good 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. A quick - "Hey, I'm your waitress, I'll be with you soon, we're a bit understaffed tonight." would've gone a long way. A lot of people in the dining room had the same expression we did of not looking impressed about how long it was taking to be spoken to. A suggestion on nights where you're understaffed, it'd be awesome if the hostess could serve some water and the rolls when you're seated, since everyone gets some anyways. We sat about 5 minutes before the couple next to us; they were greeted before us and ordered before us. Needless to say, their food came out before ours - as one would expect when you order before another table. However, their order was put in only about 5 minutes prior to our order, but our food came out a good 15 - 20 minutes after theirs. Mikayla was great about it though and offered us a free anniversary dessert for our long wait on entrees. We've had the Lobster ravioli there before, and the order my husband got the other night was less than exciting compared to previous years. It still tasted good, but no where near as good as it has been in the past. There used to be chunks of lobster in the sauce, but there were no chunks the other night. There also seemed to be less ravioli - at least 1 or 2 less than previous years. The cost has gone up, the size has gone down. I understand costs of everything have gone up, but you don't raise the price and reduce the portion, do one or the other. My prime rib tasted good, but it was barely warm - I did order medium rare, but it seemed cooler than it should've been. I also wish there were au jus like there used to be. Please update your website menu, the prices are wrong. There's not a huge difference, but I like to scout out what I'll get and sometimes cost is a factor - it'd be nice to know going into it what I should expect for a bill. Overall, we were there for almost 2 hours, when it should've been an hour and 15 to an hour and a half. Hopefully next anniversary's trip is more worth the trip. We travel from about an hour away, and love the annual pilgrimage, but we've noticed a decline in quality over the past few years. We'd love to continue coming for our anniversary meal, but it's a lot of time and money to do so, and it seems less and less worth it each year.

We had an unforgettable meal tonight at the Manor. Out waiter Timothy made us feel right at home immediately. The rolls were warm and delicious. Both our entrees were exceptional. We ordered the lobster ravioli and the Wild Rose seafood dish. We topped it off with a melt in your mouth dessert of cheesecake with apple topping. This beautiful restaurant is a must!!!

Made reservations and arrived early, which they sat us early which was amazing. It took about 20 minutes until our server stopped by the table to give us water and introduce herself. Then she disappeared for another 20 minutes. We watched two other tables not only get drinks and apps, but their mains by the time we were asked if we wanted drinks. We then were informed that there was "a new bartender" and the drinks would be delayed. By the way, it was just my wife and I. Anyways, you get the point by now. We started a game about the tables about an over/under about how many tables would arrive after I s and leave before us. The food was great. Steaks cooked perfectly and sides were tasty. I'm not sure if it is new servers or what was going on, but it was a nearly 3 hour adventure we will not be apart of again.

My fiance and I went there for dinner as it had been recommended to us. We got there and once we ordered our drinks, we were told the bar was backed up. They took about 30min to bring our drinks and when they brought them. My fiancés drink “the avatar”, his glass was 1/3 full basically no drink and it had 3 almost melted ice cubes. When he tried it, he realized that the drinks hadn’t even been mixed properly. My drink “the antioxidant” basically looked like dirty water. The taste wasn’t the worst but it was hard to drink it since it looked like I was drinking dirty water. The food was okay. We ordered the chicken dumplings but they were very dry, not much sauce to dip them in. We both got the filet mignon which wasn’t bad but not amazing and my mashed potatoes was super dry and sandy texture. My fiancé’s rice was also bad. Overall our experience was very bad in there. Need to improve on service, cocktail presentation and execution as well as the food. Very overpriced for what you get!
Maria C — Google review
We were highly disappointed in our experience at Wild Rose. We received a breadbasket with one bread roll per person. When we asked for another roll per person to go with our dinner, our waitress told us the restaurant was anticipating a busy night and was trying to limit everyone to one roll per person. While I can understand this, I believe this was the first time I've ever been denied additional bread at a restaurant when I've asked. My husband & I were going to order the ribeye special, but we did not want the blue cheese & bacon jam that came on top due to dietary restrictions. We tried to order this without these toppings, but our waitress told us no modifications could be made to the special which we thought was very odd since these toppings are added at the very end after the steak was already cooked. Additionally, the salmon dish was not great. There was essentially no flavor, and it was paired with marinara sauce of all things. It did not go together. For the prices on the menu, the food does not live up to the quality. I would not recommend this place. As cute as it is, the quality of food is very low.
