Waterfall

About

Magnúsarfoss is one of the lesser-known waterfalls in the Skaftafell region, often overshadowed by its more famous counterparts like Svartifoss and Hundafoss. However, this tranquil waterfall offers a peaceful atmosphere and a chance to wade or take a foot bath along its banks. The old station building nearby is well-preserved, providing a glimpse into the area's history with visible old machines inside.

(Translated by Google) A very beautiful waterfall that gets less attention than its "brothers" Svartifoss and Hundafoss. It is therefore often peaceful to be at Magnúsarfoss and you can wade and/or take a foot bath there on the bank. It was used there in the old days and the old station building is still there and is in good condition. Inside it, the old machines are clearly visible. Would definitely recommend visiting Magnúsarfoss with the others.
This beauty is located on the Svartifoss trail in the Skaftafell National Park. You can get up close and personal to it if you take a side trail off the west Svartifoss trail.
