Surprised! WOW! Great food, expecting pub / bar food you know the type, tasty only after a few shot and several beers. We was just looking for a quick bite and a beer but to our surprise when we received our food... Deep dish pizza, halibut basket, and a double cheese burger it was all around best food in Valdez! No foodie here, though we do prefer homemade, and to our tastes is just what we like. Don't be turned off by going to the airport for this location, like no other most have experienced, it is Valdez, Alaska. At most on a busy day, you may have a 30 person flight to walk past in the terminal to arrive at your resto/saloon. But a short wait for a beer or just to order is worth the time for some short order homemade food.

The food is excellent and the menu keeps growing. The staff is very friendly. Dine in, take out or delivery, everything is fresh and hot. Grab a pizza, a burger, a breakfast burrito, just check out the menu there is something for everyone! Don't forget to stop in for open mic night, maybe have a beer or just a soda, have some fun and meet some new friends. Family friendly! You can't go wrong at Puddle Jumpers Saloon and Restuarant where the food is hot and the beer is cold. Stop in and give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Small, relatively quiet and a nice place to relax when flying into or out of Valdez, AK. It's right inside the airport lobby. Good food and nice people. The prices are pretty good for Valdez. For instance, just bought a 16" "meat-lovers" pizza for about $30.00. In Valdez, that's a bargain!

Definitely the best food we've had in Valdez! Everything is just cooked perfectly! We had deep dish pizza, burgers and halibut basket and all are absolutely delicious! Owner is also such a great host.

Our experience with Puddle Jumpers Saloon began late in the day on Memorial Day by calling to inquire if the kitchen was still open. "You hungry? Well then come on down." What followed were some of the most memorable hours of my life. Being from small town USA myself, I immediately was drawn to the demeanor on the other end of that call. We later discovered that voice to be of the owner/operator Clay Strickland. At the time of visiting, he lacked a curbside sign and I assume he will lack one for the foreseeable future. The GPS will take you to the airport building, which is the right place, even though it doesn't appear to be. Inside the automatic doors and to the left lies a little bar kitchen with a man who's personality is much larger than the sq. footage of his establishment. The food was incredible, the beer was cold, and the stories were worth your time. The gruff prospector behind the bar sits on a hidden gem in Valdez, AK that I hope more people discover.
