I don’t write a lot of reviews but felt the need to compliment the great crew at the state fair. Excellent drinks and friendly crew. My new favorite drink is the Iced Chai (dirty, of course). Delicious!
Nice place, not the most seating options if you're trying to work on a laptop. Should try and stabilize the wobbly tables. Have had a few different drinks, no complaints. Good panini.
Probably one of the worst coffee places in Minot but unique because they also have the worst staff. Drove all the way from Minot AFB to use my reward get coffee and splurge on biscuits and gravy. I waited THIRTY minutes in the drive thru just for the biscuits and gravy. Drove half way back to base and realized they didn’t even make the order right so I drove back to them and once I got there I walked inside and all 3 of the girls were just standing there staring at me. I’m already frustrated for having to wait that long for something so small and simple in the first place that’s on YOUR menu in the drive thru but having to come back because YOU made it wrong and being told I’ll be with you in one minute while all 3 of you stand there was beyond FRUSTRATING. I already had to drive back, drag my sleeping baby out in the cold to go inside and they couldn’t even make it quick, simple or right. The “manager” who apparently just got there, came up to help and was rude to me immediately and couldn’t understand why I was frustrated…. didn’t offer to comp the meal and give a refund for literally all of the inconvenience instead took another 10 minutes to process a simple $8 refund and took my food away that was made incorrectly. Worst place EVER in Minot. I will be sure to share with anyone and everyone how awful they are and to go anywhere else.

Order in-house rather than through the drive-thru for better control over your order
If you encounter issues with your drink or order inconsistency, don't hesitate to ask for a remake or refund

Meg-A-Latte | Coffee House in Minot is a local gem known for its diverse food menu, including biscuits and gravy, pizza, avocado toast, muffins, parfaits, smoothies, egg bites, and oatmeal. Reviewers praise the excellent coffee quality and soft macaroons. While some customers appreciate the friendly service and great drinks like the Iced Chai at the state fair location, others criticize inconsistencies in drink quality at the Minot branch due to potential issues with water temperature and filtration. Despite mixed reviews on consistency and staff performance, standout items like Lavender cold foam matcha latte receive high praise from visitors.

Everyone is looking for a coffee place but this locally owned staple is an absolute gem! The food menu here is the best part! Biscuits and gravy, pizza, avocado toast, muffins, parfais, smoothies, egg bites, or oatmeal... they have the best of every coffee house in town. The coffee was excellent and the macaroons were soft and crisp. My absolute favorite place now! To top it off, 32 oz is their largest size and there is a kids menu. Enjoy, Minot!
I’ve been to the Meg-A-Latte in Minot, Grand Forks, and Watford City. Unfortunately, the Minot location isn’t one I’ll be returning to. The service is very friendly, but my drinks were terrible on every occasion. An iced mocha was so bitter that I had to put a pinch of baking soda in it — and a hot cider tasted like boiled water with hint of apple juice and something chemical-y. The coffee at the Grand Forks location was delicious, so this was surprising and disappointing.
Since I had two completely different drinks with issues that can both be caused by overly-hot water at some stage during the process, I’m inclined to assume that this location needs to turn down the temperature when brewing anything. (Or, if the temp setting looks reasonable, test their machines to make sure that the temperature output matches the setting.)
Also, I think they need a better water filtration system. Unlike Grand Forks and Watford City, Minot has pretty terrible drinking water that tastes and smells like chlorine. I suspect that the city’s water additives are affecting drink consistency, and they’re probably more noticeable to customers who are used to fresh, well-filtered water.
