In Addis Ababa Diocese, Merkato Market, Etege Menen vowed to build St. Raguel's church if they were victorious. But their vow was not fulfilled. But before they went into exile, the empress wrote a letter and sent it to the chief of the king, Raguel, through the mail, saying, "Put the letter on the throne so that no one will see it when I came." He stayed there until the Italian invasion passed. In 1934 After finding that Empress Menen had kept the letter, they recited the vows they had taken.
Empress Menen gathered the priests of Enteto Raguel and the local people at Enteto and revealed their intention to demolish the existing building and build another one. But the priests and the people suggested that it would be better if he remembered the name of Menelik. But the empress objected to him saying, "I am not a dreamer." Empress Menen asked the experts of the Ministry of Works about the matter, but they got a response that they should not demolish the existing one. Later they left him and decided to work in Addis Ababa.
The first place chosen was Kolfe. But for some unknown reason it didn't work. Mrs. Shwanesh Degfe, who was the heir of Fitaurari, had a land possession dispute with Arab and Adwa merchants.
The biggest problem for Empress Menen was convincing the priests of Entoto Raguel. Therefore, they entrusted His Holiness Abune Basilios* to carry out this work for them. Abune Basilios, who was born and raised in Entoto, after convincing those in various government jobs, called the Raguel priests of Entoto for a meeting. After many disputes and arguments, the surviving priests said that if Abune Basilios allowed Raguel's ark and relics to come to Addis Ababa, he would give the city and rural land to the priests Being eager for the land and fearing the condemnation, the priests agreed.

On the day of the celebration, many of the priests of Ento Raguel regretted the fact that they were not invited to the banquet held at the birthday hall/ today's Addis Ababa University.
From September 1948 From then on, Saint Raguel, the head of Addis Ababa Mercato, started managing both councils. But because the parish was cooling down, it did not satisfy those who were serving in Ento, according to the request of the community of Ento, His Holiness Abune Tekle ordered the return to Ento. Although it was intended to be implemented, it was postponed for three days in May, fearing the riots that might arise.
On that day, Magabe Kahnat Amaya Wolde Jesu, who was the manager of the archbishop at the time, went to the parish under the orders of Abune Gerima. Abune Gerimana and the chief priests were saved by the flower, but the shepherd priests were slaughtered and died. The parish was founded in 1965/66.
