We didn’t have a room. The staff did an excellent job on a Saturday night for our 70 family members for a family reunion. They also had their normal customers as well. They were polite and friendly. The food was great especially the Sticky Date Pudding!
We only ate lunch at the tavern and all 8 of us had a really good meal. A classic case of good country food. It was my best eat out meal for a long time (and my wife) and hopefully we can go back while we are still here. A solid 4.5.

Stopped in for dinner. Food was delicious, good sized meal. Bar staff were friendly, kitchen staff a little stand offish unfortunately.
Loved the overall cozy and relaxed atmosphere, made me feel at home. Great location and messy to find.
Did not stay the night as rooms were quite expensive for a one night stay compared to elsewhere.

This establishment does not deserve to hold a food license. When ordering I asked the staff what on their menu was Gluten Free and they actually had no idea what I was talking about? It’s my own fault that I actually decided to order something that they advised me was and of course I have been severely affected. As I should never have trusted them. This is appalling as being Coeliac is not a choice and must be catered for. The attitude was less then ordinary. Do not eat here if you have an allergy.
