Stayed overnight talked with the host a little bit was shocked at the cleanliness and new bathrooms they have. Only two tent sites but it was ideal for low traffic and getting some rest after driving. I was satisfied
Drove through it looks like they are up grading it...im sure they aren't done but picnic tables and more play ground would be Great....
A great place to stop for the night while traveling! Not a destination, but the small sandpit lake has great fishing, beautiful sunsets, and plenty of spots available and friendly camp hosts.

The Game and Parks did an excellent job with the camp sites. They really made a lot of improvements to the area. Overall, Cheyenne is a beautiful small lake to spend time fishing and camping.
The park is fine but we arrived late 11 pm at night and we thought it was better to pay in the morning on the sign it says $ 30 per night in the morning a very rude man arrived, annoyed and knocking loudly on the door demanding payment for the park (the park is state owned) and wanted us to pay him $ 44 in cash without having any identification on his clothes, very rude he yelled at us that we had to pay RIGHT NOW in cash not a card apparently he called a state police officer we think he is (a friend or family member) and he stood in front of us he was waiting for us to leave the park maybe he wanted to give us a ticket that is a mafia between the one who supposedly guards and the policeman I will not return and I hope no one has to go through the same bad time
