After seeing a post from a friend on FB about this place, we headed over the next day. This was the first time we have ever eaten arepas, so I guess we are now spoiled since everyone says these are the best! We were amazed at the size of them! We asked for forks because I couldn't get my mouth around mine. I ordered the Reina Pepiada since others had raved about it, and my husband ordered one with black beans, fresh cheese and avocado (I think it was called the Camino.) We both loved our food which was served with three different sauces. We also ordered 4 empanadas to go--there were so many enticing choices on the menu we couldn't decide! We'll definitely be back soon. The arepas ranged in price from $2.00 to $5.00 and you can add ingredients for 25C. I added fried plantain to mine--it was super!
I traveled from Florida, USA with this place in mind for my first night in town. The Arepas are my favorite and the green sauce was awesome. The orange sauce was too spicy for me but others who like spicey sauces would enjoy it. I highly recommend this place for the best Arepas.
Arepas on steroids! Packed with goodies. In our case one was filled with black beans, pulled beef, maduros and cheese and the other was loaded with avocado, cheese, and chorizo and our arepa shells were perfect. Crispy, slightly crunchy but chewy inside, they were also thin enough that we weren’t overwhelmed with the shell and unable to appreciate the filling. This is a relatively new place, bright, cheerful and just right for a place to stop into and enjoy a quick glass of juice or a fruit smoothie (batido—juice shaken with milk). Or try a bottle of something different. Their Malta (a sort of malted soda, very slightly carbonated) is highly recommended.

Good inexpensive food. I had the pabellon arepa. It was delicious and huge. It's supposed to be eaten like a sandwich but I needed a spoon to finish it off my plate.
