Excellent customer service, amasing pork and fennel sausages, stuffed mushrooms, high quality tender beef, pork and chicken. The mixed mince was also just the right balance of fat to meat ratio, obviously experts in their trade. As locals we are so lucky/proud to have a family owned butcher in town as for the tourists cooking on babies maybe they should try cooking the meat properly instead of getting on the piss and cremating it,. Just saying
We came in to Stanthorpe as visitors for a 5 night stay and wanted to shop as local as we could. We tried 3 times here to see if we could get just one decent lot of meat being that it is the only butcher shop in town. Night 1 sausages were ok but honestly, the supermarket sausages are better. Night 2 we tried the rump steak which looked delicious in the display window and was recommended by the butcher but was so tough and dry to eat. Night 3 was a lamb shoulder which we slow roasted and again tough as boot leather and no flavour at all. Unfortunately we will not be return customers and will instead stop in Warwick on the way here or buy supermarket meat. 2 stars is pushing it but we at least ate the meat so not a total disaster.
Always rotten meat and I'm over it, never coming back
First time I spent $80 on wagyu steaks which turned out to be rotten, returned to complain and was made to feel like a lying thief and basically interrogated
7 months later I buy $30 worth of chicken breast, less than 24 hours later and the chicken is completely rotten and stinking up the fridge, disgusted. Won't ever come here again!!!

Stanthorpe Quality Meats has received mixed reviews from customers, with some praising the quality and tenderness of the meat, especially highlighting the steak sandwiches as a must-try item. However, there are complaints about rotten meat purchases and tough cuts like rump steak and lamb shoulder. While some appreciate the top-quality and friendly service provided by Brad and his staff, others have expressed dissatisfaction with customer service experiences.

Fast, friendly and efficient service. I got some steak and sausages, both of which were delicious and being a supermarket meat buyer i was amazed to see the steak stay the same size when cooked. Delicious and melt in the mouth even when well done. No more supermarket meat for me.
Guys, do yourself a favour and try the steak sandwich... OMG, the best steak sandwich I have ever had! Juicy fresh and absolute yummy! I always order 15min ahead and by the time I get there it's ready for pickup. This place is my absolute no 1 joint when it comes to lunch :)
