Really enjoyed both our stays here. Staff are excellent. Rooms are good. Parking is great. Food was too - we ate at the restaurant. Far better to be ten minutes walk from central plaza than in it. Would gladly recommend it. Hotel is just starting to fray around the edges. Needs to be well maintained. One of our best stats in Argentina. Coffee at breakfast isn't the best and maybe some eggs would be nice but otherwise could not be faulted.
It’s a hotel with good decorations and spacious rooms. The location is quite good, close to popular areas.
However, I wouldn’t call it a boutique hotel, we payed for the most expensive room and the amenities were not great, some stuff only for person even though we were two.
Also the mattress was bouncy.
The breakfast was only cold options and after asking the only offered to prepare some eggs, but there’s no menu, so if you don’t ask you are one offered them
Well located hotel within easy walking distance of the centre and shopping district. Very attentive staff, good sized and nicely appointed rooms. On the downside, Wi fi is awful the connection drops out literally every few minutes. And, there is an ambient droning noise throughout the public spaces in the hotel (possibly aircon) which for me was so loud in my room I couldn't sleep, hence the 2stars. To be fair fellow travellers weren't bothered by the noise. The hotel didn't provide complementary bottles of water but did have water filling stations in 2 places.

Reviews
Solar de la Plaza Hotel in Salta is a charming accommodation option housed in a beautiful colonial mansion. Guests appreciate the spacious and clean rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location close to popular areas. However, some reviewers noted issues with amenities like bouncy mattresses, inconsistent Wi-Fi, and noisy air conditioning. The breakfast mainly offers cold options with limited hot choices available upon request. Despite minor drawbacks, visitors enjoyed their stays overall and recommended the hotel for its attentive service and good value.

A slightly dated 4 star hotel in the heart of Salta yet in a relatively quiet area too. Rooms are spacious and clean. Air conditioning though is quite ancient and it's either set in freeze or stop. It's quite noisy too so useless at night. Well appointed large bathrooms. Staff are attentive but a bit aloof too in the Argentinian way. Breakfasts is disappointing for the category and you're better off going outside, plenty of excellent coffee shops nearby.
Loved staying here. The staff is friendly. Good covid protocols during breakfast and they work with a website reservation system for the pool, gym and breakfast. Cleaning ladies did a good job every day. Felt like they clean your room twice a day (making up the bed after siesta as well!).
The pool is a bit small though, but good enough for a quick dip and cool down.
The breakfast is mainly sweet. You can order eggs, but have to pay extra, which was a bit disappointing. Also it could use some variation in my opinion. We stayed 5 nights and 5 times the same breakfast.
Room is spacious and clean. Tiny comment would be the water pressure, which is a bit low.
Other than that, a prefect place! And I highly recommend this place! Ask for a parkview room when reserving a room!
