Souris Swinging Bridge, Canada's longest historic suspension bridge at 604 feet, was built in 1904 by Squire Sowden. Although it no longer swings, the bridge has undergone several reconstructions and was rebuilt after a flood in 2011. It is a star attraction in Manitoba, drawing up to 5000 visitors annually. The experience of walking across the bouncy bridge is fun and offers a chance to see wildlife like deer and turtles.

We try to stop in whenever we travel through Souris
Summer or winter the bridge is fun and scary and the sunsets are an amazing sight update we stopped by again when the ice was just melting the wind was blowing and causing the bridge to sway my daughter was having so much fun my wife maybe not so much lol
July 6th, 2025. It was an interesting place to go. The new bridge is a lot more sturdy compared to the original bridge.
6$ to get in to see an old building? Cute little town. Nice campground on the river with a water park. The bridge was ok but I sure wouldn't have wanted to walk across the old one
