Walked in based on the Google maps rating. It’s a very Japanese restaurant with authentic food. I was there by myself and seated at the counter. The owner/chef was great at conversation too, and every food was delicious. They don’t have a japanese menu or service, but if you don’t speak Japanese, you can use Google photo translate to read the menu.
The chef Yokota was very kind - he gave me some of the dishes for one person portion, so I get to try more variety of food. Some of my favorites are boiled mantis shrimp, sea weed wrapped sea urchin, veggie tempiura (ooba, eggplant, leek, taranome, kinira), Iekura, etc.
I’d definitely come back here. It’s nice to meet someone who is passionate about what they do. Thank you chef Yokota for a great conversation and delicious food!

直前まで満席の様でしたが、気持ち良い対応で案内して頂けました。半個室的な席で掘りごたつは嬉しいです。
ビールで喉を潤してから、
マグロ、キンキ一夜干し、海鮮生春巻き、だし巻き、茄子田楽、車海老塩焼き、天ぷらを生ビールで。ご馳走様でした😋
また機会が有れば再訪したいですね。

When I was wandering around here and there, looking to have dinner while drinking, I came across ``Japanese Restaurant Yokoda'', which I had seen on their website before, so I decided to try it out.
There was already a customer at the counter, so even though I was alone, I was guided to a small raised seat for four people.
Today's recommendation was ``New Sanma Sashimi'', from the menu we had ``Today's Assortment of 5 Types of Sashimi'', ``Vinegared Mantis Vinegar'', ``Nimono Today's Boiled Fish Kinme no Ara'', and 3 types of sake to compare.
Since I was alone, I was told that the sashimi was served in a small portion. The website also states that it is also available in half sizes.
When two of the previous customers at the counter left, the counter was vacant, but they asked if they could move.

タイラギ貝は地元産 サザエのお出汁は初経験 美味しかった~ 前回同様にぼっちなのでお刺身はハーフサイズ いろんな物を食べてもらえるようにとの店主の心遣いでした 今回はカウンター席が空いていたので店主と会話を楽しみながら美味しくいただきました~
初めての利用
お酒を飲みながら晩御飯を食べようと、あっちフラこっちフラしていた時に、以前、HPで見たことのある「和食 よこ田」を見つけたので利用させていただきました。
カウンターには、既に先客がいらっしゃったので、独りぼっちにもかかわらず4人掛けの小上がりの席へ案内していただきました。
本日のおすすめから「新さんま刺身」、お品書きから「お刺身 本日の盛り合わせ五種」、「酢の物 シャコ酢」、「煮物 本日の煮魚 金目のあら」、日本酒は飲み比べ3種でいただきました。
ぼっちだったので、お刺身は少なめに盛り付けてますとのこと。HPにも、ハーフサイズでもご提供って記載されてました。
カウンターにいらっしゃた先客のうち、お二人が帰られた際にも、カウンターが空きましたが、移られますか~と、声掛けしてくれました。
ちょっとした事の心遣いが良いですね~。器も然りです!
