TEA FACTORY:
Our visit began with the purchase of an entry ticket, which costs ₹20 per person.
The museum itself is a fascinating journey, narrating the story of tea from traditional methods of cultivation to the modern art of blending. The entire space is filled with the delightful aroma of tea leaves. We were particularly interested in a machine that demonstrates the different stages of preparing pure tea, from fresh leaves to the final tea powder. Visitors are also welcome to take pictures and videos to capture the experience.
After exploring the museum, we went downstairs where we were offered a complimentary sample of either black tea or milk tea. We chose the milk tea, which was absolutely delicious.
Following the tea tasting, we went through various stalls offering a wide selection of tea varieties, including ginger, masala, green, black, and cardamom tea. There were also stalls selling herbal and natural oil products, though these were on the more expensive side. Overall, it was a truly great experience.
CHOCOLATE FACTORY:
Tickets for the chocolate factory are not sold separately; the ticket for the tea factory covers both. Inside the chocolate factory, a notice board illustrates how chocolate is extracted from cacao beans, the seeds of cacao trees. The preparation process is also shown in live, and visitors are given a complimentary sample of chocolate pies for taste.
There are many varieties of chocolates available, mainly dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and fruit & nut. Numerous stalls sell different flavors, such as coconut truffle, hazelnut, and rum and raisin.
After making your purchases, you will be given your payment receipt with a serial code to collect your package downstairs. On your way down, you will find a store with a wide range of items, including tea and coffee powders, spices, clothing, leather belts, handbags, etc. After making your payment, you can collect all of your packages at once.
