Great hotel! The best thing is the breakfast. Good location too
Hotel is clean, great location. The rooms are basic, we had a room w a balcony facing the water. The room is small but fine for two people. Free breakfast we will try in the morning. The pool is nice and a good size. Towels at front desk for beach and pool. Parking is also offered at the basement of the hotel.
Underwhelming. Fine hotel with nice staff but many small things poorly done. Very noisy fan in room. No water available, gym small and stuffy, pool not open for morning laps, a/c unit keeps room cool but everything a little damp (this is the climate even in winter but all the more reason for dehumidifier), no iron in room, ok breakfast.

Reviews
Mareiro Hotel in Fortaleza offers a mix of experiences according to various reviews. Some guests appreciate the clean rooms, great location with balconies facing the water, nice pool, and convenient amenities like beach towels and parking. However, others mention issues such as ongoing construction noise, outdated rooms with cleanliness concerns like paint spills and noisy surroundings. The breakfast is described as average by some but praised for its variety by others. Staff friendliness is highlighted positively despite occasional management mishaps.

Hotel in OK shape. Big rooms for families. Clean but a little worn out. Ongoing works above the restaurant. If you want to rest and look for a quiet place = go on, dont stay here. If you look for a place where you can go with your 4 kids, shout, cry, slam doors= welcome abord. Restaurant = avoid. Yesterday we waited for 1h until the food arrived. First the food and 15 min later the drinks. Very chaotic, too few waiters. They invited sole foreigners to stay and 1 h later they told them the kitchen is closed.....Even at the reception english, french and italian is not realy possible, but portugese works.
I think it's a management problem.
Most employes are friendly but overstressed and look very unhappy.
The day before we leave they suggest to stay in the room until 18h ( +150R$) the day itself they ask if we could leave the room before 12....????
The elevator (one of two) didn't work all the time, repared today.
An expérience not to be renewed.
The reviews are mostly lies, its a 2 star motel by American standards with cockroaches, window that won't close on first floor room 191,toilet that wont flush, outdated decor, stained cheap beds, TV that flashes on/off, on a positive note the staff is friendly and cool and the lobby is open and nice. You can get same price way better quality next door at Hotel Luzeiros looks like, Bourbon Hotel was meh also not as bad as this.
