I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years, and it remains my first choice for both business and personal trips. The facilities are well-maintained, and the service quality is consistently excellent. The front desk team is always professional, courteous, and efficient. I also appreciate the hotel’s thoughtful initiative of providing filtered drinking water taps in the rooms instead of plastic bottles — a commendable effort in supporting environmental sustainability. It’s always a pleasant experience staying here, and I look forward to returning again. Keep up the great work!
Overall Rating for 2N/3D stay : 4.5/5. Beautiful hotel, prime location, walkable to Peranakan museum, clan jetties and most of the wall murals. Staff were polite and helpful. Best AC on a hot humid day. Rooms lack storage space, bathroom in the center of the room, hot beverages are in general warm and not hot, which can be improved. Pre-experience: 5/5. Prompt email about arrival time Arrival Experience: 5/5. Room was ready and was given immediately. The front desk manager ( forgot the name,our bad) gave us an upgrade and was super pleasant to interact with. Room: 4/5. Aesthetically done but not very functional, no storage space, view was just a wall, bathroom in the center of the room wasn't expected. Although we saw a lot of reviews on club and noise, the days we stayed , we didn't encounter any. Service : 4.5/5. Staff were polite and helpful. They gave a slice of cake for the birthday we celebrated and changed the TV screen with a 'Happy Birthday' message! Very thoughtful Food : 4/5. Breakfast was limited, we enjoyed the eggs though. Coffee was just average, never hot, always warm. When we tried having the welcome drink with a hot chocolate but what we got was warm Milo. We returned twice, yet we kept getting Warm Milo instead of Hot chocolate. Location: 5/5. Centrally located, close to Peranakan Museum, wall murals and clan jetties. We didn't have to use to the cab at all. Overall, memorable experience and def will recommend.
Had perfect 2 nights at The Prestige Hotel in Penang. Our Car stopped and immediately the door was opened and we were greeted and had a very warm welcome. Early check in was possible. Our bell boy was so friendly, showed us around, showed us everything in the room, like steamer, AC, etc. Amazing service! The hotel is very clean, modern, seems to be newly renovated and has a beautiful design in all areas. Our room was nice, the minibar was included and also nicely decorated, also with local sweets. The gym is a bit small, but as we almost never saw other guests there, seems to be sufficient. The machines are maintained, there is staff looking to restock on water bottles, fruits and towels. Only the AC was a bit weak (room too warm). Else this was great! The pool has a great view over the water area, ferry museum etc. and is very clean. Towels on every deck chair, perfectly folded. All clean and well maintained and very nicely designed regarding the tiles etc. The staff was super friendly and helpful and always greeting with a smile. On welcoming us, during and after breakfast, in the walkways, always everybody was nice. This makes it a nice experience. All our other hotels on this trip (MARINA BAY SANDS excluded) cannot keep up with THE PRESTIGE HOTEL PENANG. So you basically spoiled us, so that all other hotels are now just "ok" haha. I am sure I missed other positive aspects, but overall an amazing experience. Thank you!

Fantastic stay at The Prestige Hotel. The room was gorgeous, thoughtfully designed, and came with actual useful perks — filtered drinking water tap, espresso machine, and a minibar that gets refilled daily (at no extra charge). Location is perfect. I literally walked from the ferry terminal, and most attractions + amazing food are within a short stroll. No car needed, no stress. Service? 10/10. Housekeeping kept everything spotless, and the front desk went above and beyond - they gave me a later checkout than what I asked for, just to suit my train schedule. That kind of hospitality is rare. Love the breakfast fare here too. Would stay here again without hesitation. Definitely worth it!

I picked this hotel because it's part of Marriott and it was amazing. The service was A1, the staff was super friendly and enthusiast. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing. The room was nicely decorated with very nice details. Great attention on multiple things. We would need more hotel like this. On a side note, I would not recommend their restaurant "Glassdoor" for lunch and dinner which I rated 2/5.
