Hotel Kimal

Great spot to stay in San Pedro de Atacama. Right off the main strip so it was really convenient. The room was nice and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. The restaurant was delicious and really moderately priced. Nice pool area to relax before or after an Atacama tour. Didn't notice any sound from the surrounding restaurants / bars as others mentioned. Very quiet and peaceful.

A great place to stay and enjoy all that San Pedro has to offer. The staff are very welcoming, our room (27) was clean and spacious. It's just on the corner if the main street so handy for getting about. Free coffee and drinking water are on tap and both pool areas are nice although we didn't get chance to enjoy them.

Amazing! Great location, staff are amazing, restaurant on site is great value and good food. You can get a 3 person meat platter to share for 24000 pesos total and the house wine is amazing. You also get a discount at the attached spa, two pools and parking. Cant recommend enough. We’ve been to several hotels up and down Chile on this trip and this was the best by far and the lowest star rating! Atmosphere is stunning. The parking is opposite their reception. It seems they’ve bought out the hotel opposite so Google is wrong. To park just stop quickly outside and ask them to open the gate. It is tight for parking as there isn’t much space if a lot of people have cars If your going out for an excursion you can also change your breakfasts for a nice packed lunch.

The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are rather small and there is no air-conditioning, at least in the room we were in. Service is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is tasty with quality ingredients. However, there were minor issues during our stay. The internet wasn't working or worked badly, there were no signs alerting for food restriction at the breakfast buffet, the hotel charges extra to use the jacuzzi, and the breakfast was organized in 1-hour "windows". Finally, we were disturbed in our rest because the staff needed information that was already checked during check in. For the price, we expected more.

The hotel and rooms are beautiful and the service is almost perfect. The only problems is the WiFi in the rooms is terrible. In reception WiFi is much better therefore this problem can easily fixed but managent blamed it on the area. I disagree because my mobile had better internet The other issue I that in our room there weren't any towel rails or hooks, not even for the hand towels. When I mentioned it to the management there answer was to throw the towels on the floor after being used and room service will give you new ones when they do room service. Surely this is not acceptable if you intend to have more than one shower a day or if you dry your face or hands with the hand towels more than once, specialy if there is more than one guest in the room. We left the towels on the shower screens and on the bathroom door but room service didn't change them during our whole 3 night stay.
