A beautiful colonial-style hotel in the middle of the colombian andes. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and beds are firm enough to get a good night rest. The staff is very helpful, although not many speak english (at least not fluently), but nothing that hand gestures can't solve. The breakfast is very good and the selection of natural fruit is broad. Although it's not the most centric hotel, it is just 5 min away from the main town plaza. Definitely would stay again here.
Nice place, good location. Friendly service. Has a wonderful space for events which seats close to 100 persons
From a general perspective it's a good hotel. We stayed on a suite with hot tub and a large room. Price was OK for a weekend trip. Location was excellent and we didn't have to deal with the noise and music from mthe center plaza even though The hotel is relatively close so you can get there walking. CON for the hotel: breakfast is not buffet (as some reviews mentioned) and it's small serving. Also the hot tub had leaks so water would leak outside having to re fill multiple times (ecological impact).

Consider booking a suite with a hot tub but be aware of potential leaks
Practice basic Spanish or use hand gestures as not all staff speak fluent English
Take advantage of the delicious American breakfast served at the on-site restaurant
Explore nearby attractions such as Plaza Major of Villa de Leyva and El Fósil within a short drive
