Great place to stay in Punta Arenas. The staff was super kind and always ready to help, even preparing a takeaway breakfast and arranging an early taxi for us. The bed was very comfortable, and the location is great for backpackers, close to the bus station bus sur and great restaurants like La Luna. Highly recommend!
Rooms were clean. Beds were sufficient. Parking was available but it was shared with owner/staff in single lane parking. However, they were quite accommodating and let us keep our vehicle parked there past our check out time. Building is quite old and the shower didn’t work well (wasn’t draining properly so I had to rush my shower). Everything was nearby such as restaurants and shops. We did the solo expedition boat tour and that was only a 15min walk away. Also the downstairs was well done with some cool art on the walls providing history of the area.
The hostal is run by a friendly family in a very old house, so the rooms are quite dated. You control your own heat and there’s a full kitchen, but the hot water tank is shared so shower temperature is variable. Carpet was crusty. Breakfast was nice, scrambled eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, lots of breads, and hot coffee and juices. Great location, we were able to walk from the Bus Sur terminal.

For a more comfortable shower experience, try adjusting your timing to avoid peak usage times when using shared hot water tanks.
Take advantage of the full kitchen available if you prefer cooking your meals during your stay.
If you have an early departure, don't hesitate to request a takeaway breakfast prepared by the staff.
Consider staying longer to explore Punta Arenas further due to its central location.

Amazing stay!
Wow, people always talk about the hospitality in South America, and this place does not disappoint. Don Jose, and his staff, are attentive, warm and extremely kind.
The room and bathroom was extremely clean. Hot water and a warm bed to get your day started.
Breakfast is included and more than enough food.
Overall, for the price, I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to Punta Arenas. The hotel is fairly central, so getting around is easy.
Thanke again to the Ventiqueros team for an incredible stay. Please support this Hostel and book your stays here!
