Ther is so much good that it would be impossible to list all the good points. The cleanliness, the staff's impeccable politeness, the helpfulness and willing to go the extra mile of the front of house staff, the room cleaners (THEY deserve any tips you want to give) So, instead I'll list the bad since there are so few. Starting with the hotel/resort being absolutely perfect in every way for a spanish holiday and then subtract, hence the 4 stars. Of the 3 restaurants, Maria Sardina is the best, hands down and i'll be sure to explain this to the chap i think is the maitre'd. The outdoor pools are supposedly heated, yet my wife and i had much hilarity at a visiting parade pigeon who wanted to show anyone watching what a physique he had (and once he VERY slowly, bit by bit, entered the water, what teeny tiny shrunken and withdrawn to warmer parts of his body testes he had).🤣 So the pools are COLD! The spa has a reasonable price list for extras, but the second children enter the place all hope of relaxation WILL be gone, and enter they will! The buffet meals.....this is my main issue. After day 2 or 3 you are going to tire of this. It's amazing at first, but when, time after time you gwt back to your table and the food is cold, it becomes annoying. As amazing as the selections are, it does wear on you after a while. Location is a 1km walk from the majority of the shops and i like that, it promoted getting this huge rear of mine out and about. 30,000 steps daily is easily achievable so thats a plus from me! The smoking area, yes, vapes too, is at the beach end of the hotel. When it rains here it really rains and there is no other place to smkoke, so you're going to get wet. The staff clean the hotel 24/7 so if you're a light sleeper you may want earplugs, or just close the balcony door. Security - I wouldn't normally add this in, but there are armed security guards patrolling this and (I would imagine) other hotels along the coast. Very reassuring. You could not feel safer in a foreign country than I do being here.
Overall, as you can see I have VERY LITTLE to moan about and everything else is absolutely perfect. As my first experience abroad in my entire life I could not have picked a better way to start. The staff are a credit to the industry and are always willing to help with anything from booking a taxi to getting mobility scooters to renting cars/bikes etc and dealing with any issues you may have. I love this place and will be back, though with extra Euros so I can go eat out a few days a week!
Last point... for postcards you have to go to a "Tabac" store to buy international stamps. For cigarettes if you didnt buy any on the plane, go to the place about 800m down the coast. The closer one is more expensive! Also check out the Mercadonna!!
