TLDR: 5 stars. Clean room/tub. Full hot breakfast available. 15-20 min away from Disney parks. Perfect location and pricing. Free and ample parking available even on a Saturday night.
I knew I wanted to give this place 5 stars immediately after check in. I got a king bed study room and it was SPACIOUS. It had a king bed, couch, desk, microwave, fridge, kitchen sink, and TV. The TV was oddly facing away from the bed and couch but the way the room was setup, I guess they had no other choice but place it that way. I don’t watch TV while on vacation anyway so this did not matter to me. The couch could sleep one more person. The toilet and tub were in a room separate from the bathroom sink which is convenient because other guests can use it while someone else is showering. Whoever thought of that simple idea when designing this hotel is genius and everyone should get on board. Room was clean and smelled perfectly normal, carpets looked and felt clean. No stains on the tub. The only thing I noticed was that there was a yellow stain on the desk chair like someone had spilled something so I just put a towel down before I sat on it. Hopefully housekeeping can look into scrubbing it out just in case another guest notices it (room 329 for your reference). They also serve hot breakfast from 7 am to 10 am. I only got to try the eggs during breakfast cause I went down there 10 min before they closed but there were a lot of people enjoying their food. From what I could see, they had scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, cereal (I only saw Raisin Bran?), juices, muffins, a pot that was labeled “pork” (I’m assuming it either had bacon or pork sausage), and a waffle-making station. Even 10 min before closing, there was no rush from the staff to start cleaning up the area like most hotels you see doing. In fact, there was a kitchen staff member who came back out to fill up the eggs even though I was scooping out the last bit of egg. I was impressed to see that because I thought she was going to take the tray away. Overall, I would stay here again.
Our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Orlando–South Lake Buena Vista was an absolute win for the whole family! From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The kids gave this place two thumbs up—especially for the sparkling, well-maintained pool where they spent hours splashing and playing.
Breakfast was a daily highlight with plenty of fresh and tasty options to keep everyone happy. The Mickey Mouse waffles were a huge hit with the kids (and, let’s be honest, with the adults too). It’s those fun little touches that make a big difference when traveling with children.
The location is also a major plus—close enough to Disney and other attractions, but just far enough to enjoy some quiet downtime. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, giving us all the rest we needed for busy park days.
If you’re looking for a kid-approved, stress-free hotel in the Orlando area with great amenities and a welcoming vibe, this Hampton Inn & Suites is a perfect choice.
First off, let me say that the staff was wonderful. When I arrived, my digital key still hadn't been issued, as apparently the room I selected actually wasn't available. The front desk was awesome and immediately got me into another room. That room, however, was the unfortunate part. First, the whole hotel smells like mild and I started having trouble breathing within minutes. Second, the floors, carpets, walls, and doors were all stained and dirty and made the hotel feel gross. When I arrived in my room, every surface was rusted... door handles, shower rails, lamps, faucets, etc. The carpet was so gross, I refused to take off my shoes, then came the kicker, some sort of bodily fluid crusted onto the bed skirt. I immediately called the front desk and requested a new room. The phone was sticky and dirty, so I used speaker phone and immediately washed my hands. They were great about it and got me into a new (much cleaner( room right away and told me to call down and let her know if I was satisfied. I'm only staying 1 night, so I loaded up on antihistamines and I'm leaving my suitcase packed and washing everything in the morning once I get to my next location. The front desk was awesome, I did shoe her the pictures and while she didn't seem pleased, she also didn't appear shocked, so my guess is that these are not new issues.
