1. This part of the beach is protected by a reef and therefore has small waves and is very safe.
2. Whoever did the WiFi in this hotel did a good job. Ubiquiti system, 10-20Mbps for hotel guests, 1Mbps for visitors. Outdoor access points pool area and beach.
A mixed experience, with both highlights and areas needing improvement.
PROS:
- Excellent beachfront location with easy access to beautiful coral reefs
- Well-designed pool area with convenient food/drink service
- Complimentary kayak and SUP rentals
- Good food variety at buffet meals
- Comfortable king-sized beds and effective AC
CONS:
- Rooms need renovation (rust, water leaks, mold issues)
- Poor soundproofing - evening entertainment very audible in rooms
- Limited facilities for drying wet clothes
- Inconsistent room cleaning standards
- Dated room condition doesn't match premium pricing
The resort's strongest features are its natural surroundings and amenities. The beach access is fantastic, with warm, shallow waters perfect for families and amazing coral reefs within swimming distance (bring water shoes!). The pool area is well-designed with both shallow and deep sections.
However, the room condition is quite disappointing for a premium category. We had to change rooms due to cleanliness issues, and both rooms showed signs of aging - rust, leaks, and mold in corners. The thin windows make evening entertainment very disruptive until 10 PM.
The dining experience is positive, with good variety at breakfast and dinner, including vegetarian and kid-friendly options. While drink prices are high, they're within resort standards.
While the staff maintains a typical relaxed Brazilian attitude toward timing (especially for water sports equipment), it adds to the laid-back atmosphere.
Bottom line: A decent resort with great location and amenities, but the room conditions and maintenance issues make it feel overpriced for what you get. Consider exploring other options in the area for better value.
We had a great time at the Samoa resort! Highlights were the room (two bedroom apartment with sea view and personal pool), activities, and the beach area! Our 12 year old loved running around with the kids club and doing all of the activities! Our 3 and 1 year old loved the pools and playing on the beach. The kids room downstairs was also a great feature. I am holding back one star because the food was just okay. Every other day was good- but in the off days the beef was super tough. All in all is was a great trip and we would return and recommend to others!

Samoa Beach Resort offers a mixed experience with highlights like an excellent beachfront location, convenient pool area, complimentary water sports rentals, and good food variety. However, areas needing improvement include room conditions requiring renovation, poor soundproofing affecting evening entertainment noise in rooms, and inconsistent room cleaning standards. Despite these drawbacks, the resort's natural surroundings are praised for their fantastic beach access to coral reefs and family-friendly amenities.

Exception place. Right on the water, amazing beach and great for kids. Rooms are nice and look new. Room service and perfect daily cleaning… Staff are awesome and sure to have a good time
Absolutely stunning. Definitely coming back again and staying longer this time. We spent 5 days there and I can say it was a really pleasant stay. Especially if you have little children (the swimming pool is ideal for toddlers and they have entertainment around the clock). Excellent food and service. I do suggest a buggy day trip with them to enjoy what nature can offer nearby.
