I would define Celes Samui a stunning seaside retreat with some room for little improvement.
The property is beautifully situated right on the beach , surrounded by lush greenery with numerous small villas that provide peace and privacy. The gardens are meticulously maintained, creating a perfect blend of natural beauty and careful landscaping. The three swimming pools add to the overall charm, and of course, the sea is right at your doorstep, though there are arguably better spots for swimming elsewhere on the island.
However, be aware that the “two-family” villas are essentially a single structure with rooms separated by just a modest wooden door. If you’re not a large family needing two rooms or traveling with friends, I highly recommend opting for a single villa. It’s ideal if you’re seeking silence and relaxation, and particularly if you’re a light sleeper.
If I had to think about something to improve, I would mention the staff attitude: although everybody was very nice, as Thai people generally are, they lacked enthusiasm, both at the reception and in the restaurants, during breakfast and throughout the day. The welcoming process, for example, could be greatly improved by having the staff not just handling you your room keys, but also taking some time to explain the layout of the facility and the location of various amenities (gyms, library, swimming pools, etc.), rather than let you rely solely on QR codes in the rooms—especially since some information is missing from these codes.
After all, it’s the people, not just the place, that make a vacation memorable, and this is definitely an area where improvement is needed.
A special mention goes to the manager, Mrs. Noy (if I remember her name correctly), for her kindness and attentiveness. Her energy, friendliness, and ability to solve problems on the spot are commendable. All the staff could benefit from following her example.
Thanks again for everything, you made our stay memorable 🙏🏻
