An avid treasure hunter with a wealth of stories and secrets, he’s always happy to share insights on the best places to find hidden treasures across the Philippines—if you’re adventurous enough to seek them out! His tales alone are worth the visit, and they bring a spirit of adventure to the resort. The resort’s charm goes beyond the fascinating people you’ll meet. The food is fantastic, with a menu that perfectly complements the stunning, panoramic views of Subic Bay’s harbor. Every meal feels special when you can take in the glorious scenery, whether you’re dining at sunrise or watching the sun set over the water. We come here from time to time, even though it’s about an hour’s drive from home — and it’s always worth it. The best time to visit is around 5 PM, just before sunset. That’s when the view is most dramatic: the sun begins to dip into the horizon, casting golden light over the calm waters, with yachts gently bobbing nearby. Birds begin to swarm the shoreline at this time too, adding a beautiful and natural touch to the setting. Vasco’s is all about the ambiance. It hasn’t changed over the years — and that’s part of its charm. It’s a unique maritime-themed restaurant that leans heavily into the historical side. They even have a small maritime museum filled with fascinating artifacts from shipwrecks, adding to the feeling that you’re dining somewhere truly special. While waiting for our food, we usually play a round of billiards with a cold beer in hand. It’s a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere where you can truly unwind. Most of the guests we see here tend to be foreign visitors, and it’s easy to see why — the vibe is just different. The food is good, hearty, and satisfying. Prices are on the higher side, but you’re not just paying for the food — you’re paying for the entire experience. If this place were closer to my home, I’d probably be here every week. There’s nothing like bonding with family over good food and drinks in such a beautiful setting. I really hope more restaurants embrace this kind of concept. Until then, I’ll keep coming back to Vasco’s.

We were supposed to have a good family time here since we heard the food was good but the Service is not good and we had a bad experience, the servers weren't able to keep track of our order and waited an hour for our food even if we were the FIRST and ONLY ONES in the restaurant at that time. The food tasted good but the service is really that should be worked on (please add more servers)

Did not stay in the hotel but visited the restaurant multiple times. The restaurant is ocean front with great views. The service is nice and food is good and there are some beers on tap. Overall great place to go for lunch or dinner.
