We loved our walk. We had Pedro as our guide . He showed us different herbs, we picked walnuts and we made it to a mirador to see an outstanding view. I don’t understand why people
Complain on paying 5000 per person plus a good tip for your guide. Honestly what do we get for 20$ in Canada or the Us . I highly recommend go in the morning when it is cooler .
A rip off.
We were a family group of 8 adults & 7 kids & they wanted $75 off us to go to the first waterfalls. We ended up just paying for parking & walking back down the road to the sign. If you go down there, keeping to the right, you will come to a bridge across the river. Just below the bridge to the left there is quite a big pool to bathe in
They could not prove that it wasn’t allowed to hike here without a guide. Also I was alone and it wasn’t even possible to go on a guided tour with just one person. So I had to turn back and I came for nothing. Sadly this is exploitation of an otherwise beautiful place to go on a quiet hike.

Wonderful trekking tour. Guides belong to a native diaguita community, they are highly professional and knowledgeable, though they don't speak English. The cost was less than five dollars for the first part, which includes three waterfalls. It's a fixed toll, you should not bargain. Suri caves are in the road to the starting point of this hike. In this site you'll find ancient stone paintings and a star calendar engraved in stones which used to guide the sewing seasons before the Europeans arrived to this continent.
I thought Argentina is a free country but it seems to be okay to have local hoodlums hang out there trying to push hugely overpriced guides on you. Their Argument is that the last bit is too dangerous for the unaware tourist to go.
