Bodega El Transito is a modern winery that may lack the traditional atmosphere of other wineries, but makes up for it with the quality of its wines. The impressive Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon are notable highlights, especially the well-aged Cabernet Sauvignon which initially seemed too dry but grew on the tasters as they savored generous tasting glasses. This nuevo winery offers a nice wine tasting experience at an affordable price, allowing visitors to sample three wines.

Sept.25: our 2nd wine tasting today we walkedto was Bodega El Transito, which is in middle of the town.
Flor, our hostess was giving us a tasting in English, a tour wasn't possible as their wine yards are 200KMs further down.
We tasted 4 different ones & luckily again a white Torontes, however this one was much drier, than the one we bought this morning @Bodega Vasija Secreta.
The tasting was only ARS5.000 = €3 pp, actually cheaper than the coffee with pie we just had!
Tránsito had some good wines that were among my favorite in cafayete. The location is indoors and felt a little cold given it’s very modern and dark, but worth stopping by for a quick tasting.
Another very quick wine tasting, on possibly the most uncomfortable stools I have ever had the misfortune to sit on. However, friendly and cost effective. Delicious wine.

Very nice experience. 4 « glasses » of 4 different wines (3,000ARS) from this family small winery. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable girl (didn’t get her name either :) with very good English. Our discussion was as much about wine than other Argentinian custom & habits, which was very pleasant. Thank you. We definitely recommend…
Amazing experience! We didn’t get the woman’s name but she explained everything so well and was so knowledgable! One of the best tastings we have had! Thank you! Also the wine is amazing!! We leave tomorrow so unfortunately was unable to take a bottle with us but if you can, I recommend it!!
