Peaceful and stunning natural spot!
Venus Baths was such a beautiful surprise. The short walk to get there was easy and scenic, with plenty of spots to stop and take in the views. The rock pools were crystal clear and so refreshing—perfect for a little dip on a warm day. Surrounded by gum trees and the sounds of nature, it felt like our own private oasis. Great spot to relax, take photos, or just sit and enjoy the moment. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the Grampians!
Was a lovely walk from our accommodation near the main street. Walking through nature and saw wallaby near the baths. There were children swimming 🏊♂️ and sliding down the rocks ouch !! Nice area to visit, path was smooth and then some steps 🚶♀️
Beautiful area 20-30 minutes walk past where Google Maps say it is which is actually the Botanic Gardens. Beautiful scenic walk that’s mostly flat and easily traverse. It was lovely to hear the water trickling as we walked along.
This is well worth a visit.

Visit in Spring or early Summer when there is more water in the pools
Supervise younger children closely due to slippery paths near the water
Consider visiting after dinner for a serene evening walk
Combine your visit with exploring Botanic Gardens nearby

Visitors mention the easy walk from Halls Gap, encounters with wildlife like snakes and kookaburras, slippery paths that require caution especially for kids playing in the water, and the tranquil atmosphere perfect for sunbathing or relaxing. The area offers a series of rock pools on Stoney Creek accessible via forested paths and is highly recommended for families looking to enjoy nature.

This is a picturesque 20 - 30 minute walk from the botanical gardens car park. Mainly flat but a range of surfaces so not wheelchair friendly or for those with mobility challenges. Low fitness level required. Worth the walk to the lovely Venus baths where you can cool your feet in the rock pools. Great for kids to frolick but there is an area where there is a drop off into a deep pool just off the rocks so be mindful.
