Great food, great service, highly recommended if you stop in RDL. Staff is really helpful and a great beer selection!
Place: Convenient location, we were able to park nearby and access it easily.
Service: Our service was friendly, but we were the only people in the building and needed to call for her a few times.
Food: Not worth the price, and not a spot I'd eat again. We ordered the pizza with apples and goat cheese.
We had asked about side Caesar salads, and the server said the salad comes with the pizza. I wish she had said it would be an entirely different salad, because we couldn't really eat it.
The pizza was okay. Goat cheese, semi cooked apples, and something like a BBQ sauce mixed with Catalina.
Prices: So so. We wanted to split the pizza, and they told us it's $6.00 extra if two people are sharing the pizza rather than getting their own. We could order $5 onion rings as an alternative.. it was all weird.
Conclusion: Wouldn't return, but would be alright in a pinch!
Great food and good service
However, more than one waitress/barkeep would be much better. The one and only server did an incredible job despite being the ONLY server. Not all fair to waitstaff.

Visit earlier in the evening as kitchen usually closes around 9pm
Try out their 'frites a la biere' which are highly recommended
Consider asking about dish details to avoid surprises like different salads than expected
Reviews
Pub O'Farfadet in Riviere du Loup, Quebec, offers a mix of experiences according to reviews. While some patrons praise the great food and good service provided by the only server present despite being understaffed, others express disappointment with the pricing and quality of dishes like the pizza with apples and goat cheese. The location is convenient for parking and accessibility. However, mixed opinions on food quality, pricing policies for sharing dishes, and overall experience lead to varied conclusions from visitors - from highly recommending it as a stopover spot to not planning a return visit.

I ordered the Caesar salad. Looked and tasted like a whole bottle of store bought Caesar salad dressing had been dolloped on the lettuce. Very disappointed. Had expected better from a restaurant in Quebec where we’ve had extraordinarily great food.
First time visiting Riviere du Loup and when we come back to this lovely Quebec town, we will definitely be eating here. The service was excellent- our French is not that great but the staff really helped us out. The meal was very good, nicely presented. We had sandwiches with salad and chips. While we would have preferred sandwiches with baguette, the salad was superb and the “frites a la biere” were amazing! We usually insist on malt vinegar with our chips but it was not necessary this time. All in all good value for the money we spent and yes, we will be back!
