Java House is fast becoming one of my favorite hangout spots in Kigali.
I first visited after a workout session on a Tuesday and ordered their curry plate. The flavors were rich, and the portion was generous. It hit just right; warm, hearty, and satisfying without being too heavy. That first experience made me want to return.
So today, I went back with my friend Funmi for breakfast. The vibe in the morning was calm and peaceful , perfect for easing into the day. The total bill for two came to 22,000 RWF, which is reasonable for a full sit-down breakfast at a place with good service and ambiance.
Now let’s talk about the service. Ariane, who attended to us, was excellent. She was kind, attentive, and patient. She made sure we were comfortable, checked in without being intrusive, and even offered suggestions when we seemed undecided. Big shout-out to Ariane , service like hers makes people come back. By Cab or Yego: Open the Yego app and set your destination to Java House Remera. You can also find it on Google Maps. A ride should cost about 3000–5000 RWF.

The Atmosphere
The café is clean, well-lit, and modern. You can sit indoors or on the outdoor patio. It’s a great place to meet friends, work, or enjoy solo time. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they don’t rush you out — you can sit and enjoy your meal or coffee in peace.
