The Olde Duck is a charming and tranquil cafe with a beautiful garden, making it an ideal spot for dining. The herb garden adds to the ambiance, while the outdoor seating and mini bike track make it kid-friendly. Visitors can enjoy the company of farm animals like goats and rabbits in pens at the rear of the garden. The food is highly praised, with delightful options such as chicken salad and perfectly cooked steak. Despite some minor service issues, the friendly staff contribute to a fantastic overall experience.

A MUST visit in Underberg!! The service is amazing, the food is great and priced even greater. I can highly recommend the cycling/hiking routes, I planned one run on their 7km route and decided to go back the next day to do a further one because it was just to beautiful and I needed to see more. Trails are marked and easy to follow. 100/10 would recommend!!
We visited here twice during our trip to the Southern Bergs and enjoyed both visits. The food and coffees were good but it was their scones that were to die for. Seriously. They were great.
The views were beautiful and the setup was very kid-friendly! We sat once inside and once outside and the outside seating was ideal with kids, though we had good experiences both times.
Stopped here for breakfast on our way into Drakensburg. After seeing signs for "the best cappuccino in the Drakensburg," I thought we should stop and take a look. Yes, I would say it was one of the prettiest coffees I've had, but it was cold. When I mentioned this to the staff, it was laughed off. We also ordered food, which was ok, noting really to rave about.

Lovely place and food. To bad the service is bad. We came in half an hour before a whole group of people placed our food order before them. Only to receive our food after them. Then we receive our food had to wait for cutlery. The waitress said she was going to bring it now. Had to ask another waitress for it. Then when we wanted to leave had to ask again the lady that cleans tables for a take away box and the bill. As no waitress could be seen.
Olde Duck is in beautiful setting. Place was not busy when we arrived. Unfortunately special of the day - pie and chips - only had choice between pepper steak and chicken and mushroom.
Taking of order was quick but we waited forever for our food, and almost same time for our bill. We were at point of leaving when food arrived.
Food was tasty but the tartare sause was not complementing the fish. The flat whites were excellent.
Be prepared to spend a lot of time if you plan to have a meal.
