Very grand looking restaurant inside, just beautiful. The restaurant wasn't busy and the woman serving us was helpful, personable and very efficient. We enjoyed gnocchi and a porterhouse steak and it was value for money. We wanted to come back on our last night at the Astra Hotel sadly they were short staffed and it was closed
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the restaurant with both meals delicious and well presented. The salmon mains was one of the best I have enjoyed in many years (we told the Chef). Service was excellent as was the ambience. Recommended.
Visiting from the Midwest of the USA…. Arriving midday… met a local at the airport who highly recommended my visit to Astra….. From the first greeting in the pub with Kathryn and Kessa…. Was such a pleasant and welcoming time to relax. When the restaurant opened I wandered over and had such a great tasty filled with flavor meal. The staff is just awesome …. Warm and friendly. I had the salmon. A very generous portion with a mix of vegetables that really was so tasty and very delicious. The restaurant gets a little busy and the staff were so attentive …. I’ve been to visit twice and I’m here for 5 days.

Never expected to find my favorite dessert on my trip through Australia in Broken Hill.
You need to try the apple crumble dessert is just well balanced not too sweet and with a lot of texture. Obsessed!
We love dining at Trinders. The food is always excellent and good sizes.
We have always found the wait staff very friendly and efficient. We find when you are friendly and courteous you always get treated well!
