Great old pub, popular to families, was quite busy and still got my steak sandwich quite quickly. The sandwich was a good size, loaded with steak, onion, tomato, lettuce, etc - steak was a quick sizzle steak and over done which is my only criticism. It came with a decent serve of fries.

Great pub!! We drove 8 hours and found this beauty after setting up camp. Great dog friendly pub. Chips with cheese and gravy and cold drinks, what more could you want??
We were looking forward to a steak meal. I Ordered 1 x medium and my friend ordered a medium rare steak. Both steaks were overcooked. My friend couldn’t be bothered returning her steak but I did. I returned my meal to the lady at the counter saying I requested a medium cooked steak. She took it to the Chef who said it was cooked medium. I said it was overcooked and the lady asked “What do you want done” I requested a replacement meal with a medium cooked steak. The replacement meal was bought out and once again it was overcooked!!! . A lovely cut of meat …… ruined Unfortunately I did not take a photo of my friends steak but it looked exactly the same as mine. My friend and I will not be returning
