Amazing restaurant. We visited the restaurant during our vacation for dinner. The excellent and flavorful garlic bread served as an appetizer was a great start. Then, we had lamb shanks as the main course. I have never eaten anything so delicious. The creamy mashed potatoes, sweet baby carrots, amazing honey marinade and sauce, and finally, the tender, juicy, and flavorful meat were all perfection. An excellent preparation overall. We paired it with beer—West Coast IPA—which was fantastic. The atmosphere was great as well. The service was equally outstanding, very friendly and kind. For me, everything was simply fantastic.
Had lovely meal here, friendly attentive staff and having been in NZ for 10 days it was the first time my wife didn't struggle for dairy free menue which seems to be a problem here, dairy free mash!
Accommodating, friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed the blue cod and was able to request a smaller portion with extra salad instead of chips.
The food was good, and nicely presented.
I also enjoyed the raspberry Margarita cocktail, which arrived somewhat overflowing! - The colouring in the photo is somewhat deceptive, it was more of a grayish pink in real life, but very delicious!

Service is lovely and attentive.
Good selection of wines and drinks.
Food was a let down.
Started with the mussels. The curry was mild with a nice gingery aftertaste. The mussels were very small and stuck in their shells and had a fishy smell. Not ideal.
We also ordered the eggplant stack. Which was actually a larger than expected meal. The overpowering smoky flavour was not for me. The curry was extremely mild, almost non-existent. The rosti was nice and crispy.
Lastly, the steak. This was nice. Little fatty yet not medium rare. More on the rare side. The potatoes were lovely and the mushroom gravy was nice too.
Good food. I enjoy more small plates. We had green shell mussels and they were ok - every place makes their own sauce to serve these mussels in and the sauce is the tricky part! Here it was pretty heavy coconut milk and curry sauce. Tuna was too plain to my taste. And asking to make a bit of a variation to the dish (like request to make something more spicy) is useless - staff says ok and quietly ignores it :). Overall food was served pretty quickly and everything that supposed to be hot was hot. We really liked the kids menu dishes names - very funny and tru. Adding a photo below.
