Went there after a longer walk from the lighthouse in la paloma but it was worth it.
Food:
The food was okay but honestly the most underwhelming aspect of the whole experience. It was not bad I must say, just a bit pricier considering the portions are a bit smaller and the taste was just not blowing me away. But good enough to justify going back, no problem. We had the TNT burger and a salad as well as a lemon brownie dessert. The burger was fine, yet a little peppery for my girlfriend, but I am happy it was done medium as I like it juicier. The salad was very little so I ate it in 2 minutes or so and it didn't fill me up at all, even for a salad. The dessert was very well balanced and tasty without being to sweet.
Drinks:
The drinks are nice. The mojito is good which honestly would be quite sad given the name of the restaurant. Nice fresh herbs and fresh tasting drinks are what you can expect.
Service:
The service is very good. The food did not take that long to get and the waitresses are very attentive. They are also very helpful and answer all of my questions. If something is not correctly done or you're unsatisfied they do care which is nice.
Atmosphere:
The atmosphere is honestly what brought this restaurant up to 5 stars. I got to play mikado with my girlfriend while waiting on the food and the time went by fast. They also have other games and blankets to choose from as the seating is solely outside. There are many different seating options and the ambiente is soooo amazing. There are also multiple small fire places on tables which is good if you need the extra warmth of the fire.
Bottom Line:
The perfect place for a romantic dinner or with kids or a big group. I do recommend it even though it's not because of the food and drinks which are still good don't take me wrong. Loved the experience and can only recommend the place.
I love figs , I had the “ provoleta con higos asados”. By far one of the best appetizers I had in a long time , the mix was perfect . Provolone, greens and cook fig. There is a very good chef here.
The best restaurant of the whole trip to la Paloma. The garden is beautiful and you can relax during the heat at lunchtime or dream away at night. The food is delicious. Especially the sorrentinos are a dream. I usually go for the meat course but tried the pasta this time and I have to say: better than any burger could be (even though the burgers here are really great).
