Been here twice in a week. Once for late night cocktails, the other for a crowded, Friday lunch. The location and outdoor people watching are fabulous. The service for late night drinks was also nice. Lunch on the otherhand...OMG. I ordered a chili burger with fries. Two women immediately sat down next to me after I placed my order. Let's just say, their food arrived AND they were finished with lunch before my burger appeared. Normally, I would have flagged someone down for a bit of urgency. Today, I was reading and knew I wouldn't die. However, the disappointment hit quickly. The fries were cold, not even warm. As in, they could have been sitting out since dinner last night. Plus, they needed a serious shake of salt (no S&P in sight.) Next came the burger. It was not horrible, but it was barely warm and very *meh*. Full disclosure, as an American who has been traveling Europe for 8 months, "What ta hell was I smoking when I ordered a burger?" Never a good idea. I seriously thought of requesting some warm fries, however, not 1 time did anyone ever stop by to say "boo." ...Would I return? Absolutely, but for the beautifully-made alcohol concoctions, desserts, a minimum of 2 hours, and zero place to be...Lastly, I stopped the wait staff and made her aware I was ready to pay with my card. I used the WC, asked the bartender on the way back outside if I could settle my bill, waited a solid 10 mins., requested my bill AGAIN. When I finally attempted to pay, I was told, "We are going to need another card. This one was declined." How about NO? You go find a card machine that actually works correctly...19€+ change and 2+ hours later.
