Our stay at Hotel Antumalal was nothing short of exceptional, and much of that is thanks to Beatriz, whose actions went far above and beyond any expectation. When we encountered a major issue with our rental car’s transmission, Beatriz stepped in and handled everything with incredible professionalism and care. She not only liaised with Europecar on our behalf but also arranged for a hotel car rental to ensure we didn’t miss a day of planned activities.
Her follow-through was amazing, and thanks to her efforts, a replacement car was delivered to the hotel while we were out for the day (!! Never have I seen such service). It’s rare to encounter this kind of dedication to guest experience, and her kindness and efficiency turned a stressful situation into one of gratitude.
The entire team at Hotel Antumalal has been wonderful, and Beatriz’s actions were the perfect example of the exceptional service you can expect here. If you’re looking for a place where the staff truly goes the extra mile, this is it. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
We stayed here as part of a Backroads hiking trip. While the location is very convenient, the hotel is a pretty big disappointment. It is very dated and in need of a great deal of touch up repair throughout. The view is outstanding but that does not make up for the poor dining service which was frustratingly bad. The rooms are spacious but it is very hard to get to the power outlets and there are not nearly enough hangers in the closets. There is no air conditioning so be prepared to leave the windows open all night if you are on the first floor! Overall, this is more aligned as a 3 star property and not worth the higher price or expectations.
We stayed in one of the cabins. Amazing location and amazing service. I would recommend it to anybody who is ok with being a bit outside of the city.
I only give 4 of 5 stars because I think the spa area needs a refurbishment.
But I would recommend the hotel to anybody

The hotel is slightly removed from the town but Ubers are quite inexpensive and always available. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and the architecture is excellent. Definitely worth staying here.
One of the greatest hotels I've been to. Astonishing views, epic sunsets and carefully thought modernist architecture. All of this in a nature-blessed environment and peaceful location. One feedback I would give is service. There is no room service and I had to carry my bags for 300m upstairs because there is no staff after 11pm (just the night guard in the gate, who I didn't find). In summary, however, the hotel is a unique and pleasant life experience.
