Great museum exhibition with a great variety of covered themes, from ship models to lighthouse's lights and history explanation. Tickets covers two museums, this one and the Pommern ship. A good visit would take 90-120 for both museums, or 60-90 for this one only.
Very nice meusum with interesting collection of ship and ferry...the pommern is quite interesting and good to keep in mind the last entrance to pommern is around 1pm. They have lockers and bike parks for visitors and they accept meusum card:)
I really recommend visiting this museum if you want the know more about Åland and their history. But even just if you want to know more about seafaring from their perspective. There are lots of different things to look at, to read about and you will get amazed about how much goes into the history and science of boats, cruises and seafaring.

The Åland Maritime Museum offers a diverse and engaging exhibition covering various maritime themes, from ship models to lighthouse history. Visitors appreciate the interactive expositions for children, detailed ship models, artifacts showcasing sailors' lives, and the opportunity to explore both the museum and the Pommern ship with one ticket. The museum is well-curated, clean, and provides insights into local ships' histories and life at sea in a Baltic winter.

An awesome museum detailing the seafaring past of Åland, surely a must see if visiting. The exhibits inside are very interesting, as is the full rigged ship Pommern, the main star of the museum.
