Its a one full day train journey from Oslo Central Station to Andalsnes. You can book ticket online or from the NSB counter in OSLO central station OSLO S. They staff at the NSB explains you very well about the travel. From OSLO S you should take train to Dombas and from Dombas to Andalsnes. The route from Dombas to Andalsnes is known as the wildest and most beautiful train journey in Norway. The best time to visit is in Aug. I got to know when i spoke to the local people in Dombas. The train is very comfortable and they have restaurant in trains. You can buy coffee and food from the restaurant in the train which is very comfortable and convenient. The seats can be adjusted and spacious enough. The train staffs are very friendly and they will answer all your concerns about travel in the best and polite way. Very friendly staffs. I really enjoyed this journey. Looking forward to visit during Aug to enjoy the real beauty of Norway.
Rauma Line runs from Dombås to Åndalsnes through stunning countryside, and Kylling Bridge and turning tunnel making it a great train ride.
