The Palace of the Rumiancaŭ and the Paskievič, an iconic 18th-century Neoclassical palace located on the bank of the Sozh River, is now home to a museum showcasing art and history. Constructed by Field Marshal Piotr Rumyantsev in a historically significant area, it stands on the site of an ancient Radimichi settlement and later served as the castle of the Czartoryski princely family.Why you should go

The palace is worth visiting. Excursion was also fine. You can buy audio guide at the cashier and allowance for taking photos (1 rub each in july 2021)
Administration: improve your pricing policy - include in 1 ticket all spots for sightseeing on the palace's territories. It's extremely tyring to pay by cash at every stop.
In addition, at the tower consider enlarging storage facilities. You can even make them paid. It's tyring to take in 190 steps with back pack.
The centre of attraction in Gomel! River, ancient trees, swan lake and of course the restored palace, this place has something for everyone. Great place for a walk in the fresh air and beautiful scenery. A lot of eating options around as well.
Worth a visit if you happen to be in Gomel. Besides an opportunity to visit the palace, you get to see some beautiful rooms, and a few nice icons as part of the collection. You can climb to the top floor of the bell tower which is filled with exhibitions. There is also an audio tour in English. Unfortunately quite a few pieces of art have disappeared from the palace during WWII.

The palace itself links this small city to the Great Imperial Russian time-line and was built by the same architects who has built in Russian capitals. Very few house items preserved, but you can feel the spirit.
