The Fort is really interesting and definitly worth a visit. You have a great View around the City/area. The information about culture and History is also easy to Understand.
Nizwa Fort is a significant historical landmark that attracts many tourists eager to explore its rich history and impressive architecture. The nearby souq area is just a short walk away and is definitely worth visiting for its traditional shops, local crafts, and vibrant atmosphere. While the entry fee is slightly higher than expected, the experience of exploring the fort and its surroundings makes it well worth it.
Very interesting. You’re allowed to walk around everywhere and check out all the rooms. A recommendation would be to include more furnishings to give a better feel of what the fort would have been like back in the day. We spent about an hour there over sunset, great view over Nizwa. Be sure to walk around the gardens where there are animals including camels and deer.

I loved it! Well organised exhibitions, the fort is well maintained and renovated. Compared to Bahla, I think Nizwa fort is such more informative and interactive. In the garden there are some animals, too. The entrance fee is 5 OMR.

The Nizwa Fort is a large castle in Nizwa, Oman built in the 17th century. The fort is a powerful reminder of the town's significance through turbulent periods in Oman's past history. It is a major tourist attraction, featuring a cylindrical tower and a museum that displays local artifacts. its well-preserved fortifications, and its location at the foothills of the Hajar mountains. In the garden area you can see some animals. The entry fee is 5 OMR. Visit for Oman's remarkable history, architecture and cultural heritage !!!
