I used to be an employee here so I know exactly what goes on here. All of these complaints are completely justified and legit. Rich Wilkerson is the one who financially operates both KFC’s in the city of Rochester Minnesota along with a few others elsewhere and he is to blame for this 110%. One guy on the reviews complained about the food being soggy and not fresh. Doesn’t surprise me when Rich only allows 3 people at a time to run the whole store. Somebody also complained about the workers being rude and short with everybody and running out of everything. Well, it doesn’t surprise me when he is too cheap to even let them have a free company meal for the hard work that they put in that help him earn his precious bonus. As for the staffing, he allows one cook, one person to run drive thru who also must help out with line, stock up, and do dishes, and then he’s has one person to run the front counter and the line, clean bathrooms and lobby, and whatever else needs to be done all while refusing to close the front lobby down just make his employees shifts a little easier and less of a headache. He’ll claim that they don’t make enough business and enough money to staff anyone else but then again, he’ll keep the front lobby open, adding more work to his employees, pushing them out the door because it’s a complete migraine and a headache. $16 an hour is not enough and is not a fair wage when doing three people’s jobs but for some reason, this man likes to patronize his employees and use that against them when they’re not doing the job that he hired them to do. Funny how that works too because when you mention his bonus like I did somehow that’s none of mine on anybody else’s business. Look who’s talking, dude. At the end of the day, the only thing this guy thinks about is his bonus and how he’s going to get it rather than making sure his employees are working in a safe, clean and fully staffed environment. He also likes to micromanage the General managers work and then wonders why he’s gone through two general manager since the location has reopened. No joke either. He is now on his third general manager in three years. Anyway he will come in and he will do the easiest things that the GMs need to do and have done, and he will do it like he’s doing them a favor only for when it starts to get busy with customers, instead of helping out his employees like a good supervisor would do, he takes off. What is even worse? Is he terminated a Mexican woman who could only wash dishes because he couldn’t afford to keep her. Then he turned around and made his employees deal with a guy named Sam and a guy named Christopher, who were only good at doing dishes because he believed they deserve a second chance instead of letting the GM get rid of them when they needed to be terminated due to the lack of the work ethics and not showing up on time. Talk about blatant, disrespect to your employees for that one. He literally does not feel that helping out his employees is his job or in his job description. So yeah, if your food sucks, this is why. If you customer service sucks, this is why. If the employees are short and rude with you, this is why. Go to Chick-fil-A. Be the reason they bonus their General Managers. At least there you will get better customer service and food as well as you will know your money has been well spent better.
