I finally made my way there on my last night in Sucre, drawn by the promise of an electronic party after weeks of reggaeton. The atmosphere was electric and lively! Good beer, good music and has live concerts on the weekend
Not what I really expect with regards to an Irish pub. However they were friendly and drinks are good. Just don't expect typical beers you'd find in an Irish pub.
I was alone so they didn't allowed me to eat and drink on the table, had to eat on the bar although there were free tables all the time - the waiters themselves sat on a table!
At the end I had to pay the double price because the beer from the promo (Salchipapa + Cerveza) was not available. Really unfriendly and bad treatment, they let me feel that I'm the blond Gringo.
And last, but not least: no Guinness and only Johnny Walker and Jack Daniels in an Irish Pub?! How embarrassing is that?! Never again...

Visit during weekends to catch live concerts at the pub for added entertainment.
Be prepared for a mix of rock music which might include heavier genres like Motorhead.
Reviews
O´Finnigan´s Irish Pub in Sucre seems to have a mixed reputation among visitors. While some appreciated the friendly staff and good drinks, others were disappointed by the lack of typical Irish beers, unfriendly treatment, and absence of popular brands like Guinness. The atmosphere was described as lacking with complaints about the music selection. However, there were positive mentions of live concerts on weekends and decent beer options.

Door was open. Sign on the door said they opened at 1900. It was almost half past. Walked in to be met with attitude from the guy behind the bar. A simple “I’m sorry, we’re running late and aren’t open yet” would have been fine, but the beer monkey decided attitude and sarcasm was the best way forward. If this represents their standard of service, I’d avoid like the plague. I certainly won’t be going back.
