The pousada is well placed to access both Praia Grande and Praia dos Anjos and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the rooms were really disappointing, the overall feeling being one of dirtiness, lack of maintenance and general lack of care. There was a hole in the wall behind the bed, the sheets were dirty and duvets had no cover, the fridge was dirty and broken, we found insects in the shower and there was mould on the tiles, and on the day our room was supposed to be cleaned, the bathroom had been left untouched, meaning it felt quite unhygienic to use for the following days. Breakfast was adequate but basic and repetitive, swimming pool didn’t look clean and sauna was more like a steam room. Overall very disappointing and we left two nights early
