Our family had a great experience at Buffalo Point. The staff were helpful. Cabin was very clean. View was incredible. We're definitely coming back!
The food is absolutely terrible. Price is rediculous for what you get. Fries tasted like the oil was 3 years old. I will never go back. McDonald’s bun for a 30.00 hamburger.
Our Cabin was quite worn down and was missing some amenities that would have been helpful. We had coffee but no coffee filters. A BBQ but no utensils to use with it. No paper towels or napkins. AC didn’t work very well at all. There was a hole in the drywall.
Sheets and towels were very clean and it’s still reasonable if you want to be lakefront. A quick refresh of these cabins would make all the difference.

Check rates carefully as they may change unexpectedly even after booking in advance
Bring your own cooking utensils if planning to use the kitchen in cabins as they might be poorly equipped
Be cautious of scalding hot water temperatures in some cabins especially if traveling with children
Inspect furniture like picnic tables before use as maintenance issues may exist such as missing bolts underneath
Reviews
Buffalo Point Resort offers a mix of experiences according to reviews. While some guests praise the cleanliness, helpful staff, and incredible views, others express disappointment with cabin conditions like broken blinds and ill-equipped kitchens. The location is highlighted for its beauty and proximity to a great beach, but issues with management oversight are noted. Despite positive aspects like clean cabins and accessibility features for handicapped individuals, concerns about amenities, restaurant offerings, slow service at the golf course, and misleading information on activities detract from the overall experience.

Disappointing cabin rental. To start beware as rates are subject to change. We booked close to a year in advance and they increased our rate less than two weeks before our reservation. Price for two nights went from $440 to $560. Management were contacted and did not seem to care.
Upon arrival our cabin was mostly clean but had about 20 dead mosquitos on the couch. Our cabin had broken / partial blinds in the main area and a chair in the veranda area that had multiple cigarette burns in it. The kitchen barely had anything in it and was ill equipped, no cooking utensils or spatulas.
The water temperature in our cabin was set to scalding hot. Our kids almost burned themselves using the sink.
We had a picnic table outside our cabin and when four adults sat on it the whole thing swayed and almost collapsed. After looking under it we realized it was missing bolts.
These cabins are getting run down and need some attention.
The location is beautiful and the beach nearby is great, but the poorly managed cabins are not worth renting.
Honestly pretty disappointed. The cabin was nice and clean but that's about the only upside we experienced. The restaurant was only serving soup, sandwiches, fries and poutine our whole visit. The website states Kayak and paddle board rentals are available, however, apparently they are no longer available. Website also states there is a chip truck which was closed. One staff member suggested a trail walk "although the trails aren't really kept up" . I asked the main desk for a pamphlet on activities to do or a trail map and they didn't have anything. We went golfing one day. The course is nice but the game was so slow and took us nearly 5 hours to complete (with a cart) because it was so booked up.
The beach was totally covered in water because of flooding which is obviously out of their control but it just added to the disappointment of the trip.
Overall for the price it's definitely not worth it and we will not be returning. I think this place has so much potential but it's just not hitting the mark. They are essentially running a scam here. I had to call in to book the stay and no one told me about any of these items or the restaurant when I booked.
