Our first time trying Peach Cobbler Factory on, 4495 Roosevelt Rd, Jacksonville, Fl was about 2 years ago. However, our first experience and experiences afterwards, as well as trying the other locations (north airport& bartram) when we came in town visiting to compare the consistency of the cobblers we liked. I’ve met a couple of the owners which were both guys great customer service, as well as the staff to make sure we were satisfied. However, not having them for a while went to the one on north side by the airport on 5/30/2025 to learn they closed down. So we went to the other location on Roosevelt considering that was the first peach cobbler factory we went to l, when they opened and figured we would still get the great quality of service and quality of food. Well, that definitely wasn’t the case, the service was very dry, cooler for drinks empty, presentation of display out dated the upkeep of place from the first and previous experience didn’t meet the consistency it once had. The owner there now, she was not welcoming and she didn’t care about what she served. I’ve worked with food/cooked for many years, coming from a background of chefs and restaurant owners, this was unacceptable. I haven’t ever left a review to express something, in this case I had to considering. I ordered two cobblers, the sweet potato cobbler and the cinnamon peach praline, as requested to have them add extra cinnamon sugar along with the crust, didn’t get that. The owner made the order, so when realizing this we had already made it back to our hotel, she just put a lot of pecans over each cobbler with no cinnamon sugar at all on either. In addition, as I seen just a lot of pecans and proceeded to get a taste of the sweet potato cobbler it was the most horrible taste I’ve ever had, no cinnamon sugar, crust was super dry and the sweet potato, the cobbler was spoiled. Thought it was just me, but I know how spoiled food look/taste, but literally covered everything up with pecans. As I look down the crust had white fuzz and was discolored because it had started to spoiled. I called them immediately, the owner didn’t even argue with me as if she had known what she did/served, but didn’t care. How so unprofessional/disrespectful/disgusting she is/was. There’s no way a business owner where you serve food and could be so careless, what if this was child that didn’t know any better or an elderly person. Her initial response was, oh you can just bring it back and I can refund you. She didn’t acknowledge her fault, didn’t apologize, and try to even make efforts to fix or see what she could’ve done better/different to make sure the customers were ok and make sure the future experience would be better. I didn’t want anything else from there it was just the principle as a business owner to make sure your customers feel like a priority when they’re spending their money. I try to support , but some ppl in this case makes it hard for others and their businesses. If this is something you don’t want to do by all means let it go, especially when handling food that can bring harm to someone, you must be mindful. I definitely wouldn’t be back and wouldn’t advise others to try there either, definitely not that location. The next morning 5/31/2025 I went as soon as they opened to receive refund and return the cobblers. Again, she was unapologetic, not acknowledging, and knew who I was when I walked in. Took the bag of cobblers from me and put it to the side as if this was an normal behavior in response. I wanted to react to the response, but I pick and choose my battles. I gave no energy, just an energy of no return there. I just hope whoever oversees this place of business would really reevaluate the company in how’s it ran.
