Halls Gap!!!
The Roos and people live in perfect harmony without invading each other’s space. It’s always so refreshing to be among so many Roos at Halls Gap.
Best time to spot the Roos in this park would be just before the dusk time.
Good playground for the kids. 2-3 areas for kids to play. Plenty of cockatoo’s around and kangaroos will often congregate around here after 5pm. Too much kangaroo droppings to place a picnic blanket. But plenty of picnic tables.
My kid happily spent an hour here making friends and playing on all the equipment. In a great location. Lots of shade and space, plenty of food options nearby.

Reviews
Halls Gap Playground offers a great play area for kids with multiple sections, surrounded by cockatoos and kangaroos. Visitors can enjoy picnic tables but need to be cautious of kangaroo droppings. The playground is wheelchair and kid-friendly, with nearby shops for food and refreshments. However, some reviewers noted issues with cleanliness on weekends, overflowing bins, filthy toilets, and lack of soap during peak times.

Playgrounds like this are superb and located nicely between the caravan park and the shops and near the pool it is ideal for kids. There is something for everyone here.
A nearby picnic shelter also gives it more of a reason to stop and let the kids play. The local pool is also nearby and with grassy lawn areas is a nice place to hang out.
Please don’t feed the kangaroos. They are wild and although cute and cuddly, can be a pest and potentially dangerous if you feed them.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking.
Shops across the road if your need food and refreshments.
We come here quite often with grandchildren. They love the playground. Great range of play equipment. However....the surrounding area could do with some attention. I have no doubt that these areas are tidied up, just not often enough. We live nearby and if one visits through the week, the area is tidy enough. But on weekends it is a different story. Then there is usually rubbish everywhere. Because the bins are usually overflowing with rubbish, there is more rubbish scattered all over the ground around them. The toilets on weekends too, we have often found to be absolutely filthy! There needs to be soap available too. This prevents disease! Not good enough! Visitors must get a very poor impression. I imagine it would be a substantial cost to employ weekend staff but these areas need regular attention on weekends and public holidays. We need to attract visitors not discourage them from returning!
