Around midday, a staff member, presumably the owner or manager, began yelling at me for absolutely no discernible reason, demanding I move to a "cheaper room." While I complied and moved my belongings, the irrational ranting continued. The situation escalated dramatically upon my return from Udon Thani Rajabhat University at 7:00 PM. I simply approached the same staff member and politely asked for the key to my new room. Instead of providing the key, she launched into a 20-minute screaming tirade, vehemently insisting that I already had the key. This aggressive and illogical accusation was incredibly unsettling. Finally, she marched to my new room, unlocked it, and found the key sitting on the table inside. Instead of apologizing for her mistake, she became even more enraged, her embarrassment seemingly fueling further verbal abuse directed at me. At this point, the feeling of being targeted due to my nationality became undeniable. The irrational anger and refusal to take responsibility for her own error felt deeply rooted in prejudice. Feeling genuinely threatened and experiencing what I perceived as blatant racism, I made the decision to leave immediately. By 8:00 PM, I had gathered all of my luggage, while the staff member continued to yell and even threatened to call the police on me, the paying guest. This entire experience was not only unprofessional and deeply unpleasant, but it was also genuinely scary and felt overtly racist. I have already contacted Agoda to request a full refund for the remaining nights of my booking, as I felt unsafe and unwelcome at Country View Resort. I strongly advise other travelers, particularly those from Western countries, to exercise extreme caution and absolutely avoid booking accommodation at Country View Resort. My experience was a nightmare of irrational aggression, blatant unprofessionalism, and a disturbing sense of racism. This is not a place where any traveler should feel they are safe or respected. The initial pleasantness was a complete facade, masking a deeply troubling and hostile environment.
